I just left my doctor appointment and am in tears. I have never had an experience like this with a Dr. in my life. I slipped and fell down a flight of stairs and went in for severe back pain. Dr. Stacey Oddman came in, barely looked in my eyes and got right to typing. All business, she started asking me questions and clicked the answers, without having any real conversation with me. I was put off by this, but continued to answer the questions. she did not allow me to truly express what I was dealing with. I continued to answer the questions and she clicked away. She appeared to minimize what I was saying and her facial expressions and body language indicated to me that she didn't take me seriously. Apparently I was annoying to her. She said I should repeat the X-ray I already had and I asked her for an MRI. She said I needed to follow Doctors orders. I wasn't trying to negate her, I just shared my concern and said I just want to make this pain go away ASAP! She went back to typing...I began to tell her how this is the second time I hurt my back in this way and she snapped at me "I think I have the knowledge and experience to know what you need. So let me finish what I am doing so you can be on your way." I was shocked and tears sprung to my eyes. I was so taken aback. She then quickly told me a summary of my visit and threw the door open for me to leave. I've never felt so disrespected and dismissed especially by a DR!!! Dr. Oddman showed NO COMPASSION and NO HUMANITY of any kind. Obviously she had a rough day since I was her last appt. but I certainly didn't deserve her nasty treatment!! Thankfully my dr. In the same practice is wonderful. Dr. Oddman was who I had to see because my dr. Was out of town. I hope I never see the sight of dr. Stacey Oddman ever again in my life!!! read more
