Views of Perisher valley from the dinning room are awesome. Whets your appetite for the slopes while you are eating a delicious breakfast. Quality great tasting meals are included in the package. If you have rugrats (children), or are just chasing a nice relaxing, laid back place to rest after a day on the slopes then this is the place to stay. Relaxed and welcoming to the point that you feel as though you are at home. Thanks to Sharon and Neville for always making my and my sons stay at Perisher a 'home away from home' (my eldest son's words).

The room was warm, cosy and clean. It has all the facilities you need at a ski resort. It's not a far walk to the snow and the pub is a very short walk down the hill. At the end of a long day of skiing, the Hans Oversnow service will drop you off at the door so that you don't have to trudge up the hill - and this is included in the accommodation costs. There was no Wi-Fi or Internet access or television, but some may consider de-tech'ing to be a bonus. The water pressure was poor, and the water temperature was sometimes fluctuating in the shower. I could live with that and suggested to them that they put in low-flow shower heads to get a proper spray. All in all, I felt my money was well spent. Would definitely stay again.

I had booked a stay at Perisher Manor earlier this year, paying top-dollar for a season of…read moreunprecedented demand. Unfortunately, due to the lockdown in Greater Sydney, I was unable to go. I notified the property as soon as lockdown was announced for the dates of my stay. They offered to rebook me for the same season (useless with the extended lockdown) or provide a partial refund. They ended up charging me $1,578 in cancellation fees--that's more than enough for a weekend stay even in 2021! Their T&Cs had no provisions for COVID-19, so they made up that policy after the fact (or at least didn't publish it). What is published is that no refunds are offered at all for cancellations, so I suppose I should be grateful. That is if I were to ignore the fact that such an unfair term would likely be void under Australian Consumer Law.

First up - this is not a review of the lodge accommodation just of the bar and restaurant…read more Secondly, Corroboree are right at the bottom of the main slope so grab a drink and watch the night snowboard comp! The new owners are great, Bob and Anna really tried to make sure that everything was just perfect. From the pencils on arrival for little miss 2 to even offering to hold our 4 month old whilst we ate dinner. They were really family friendly. Now word of warning: there is a "Kids Dinner" at 6pm each night for all the kids staying in the lodge, you may want to schedule dinner at a different time if you want to avoid younglings. The menu is a Table d'hôte affair so there is only a limited number of options. Two course for $40 and three courses for $50. To help the chef out they ask you order when you book which is a bit weird. The food was great and even though we only had the two course option, we didn't leave hungry The wine selection is great and the house wine is only $6 a glass (again a great price for a bar on snow) In short, give them a shot!
