Views of Perisher valley from the dinning room are awesome. Whets your appetite for the slopes while you are eating a delicious breakfast. Quality great tasting meals are included in the package. If you have rugrats (children), or are just chasing a nice relaxing, laid back place to rest after a day on the slopes then this is the place to stay. Relaxed and welcoming to the point that you feel as though you are at home. Thanks to Sharon and Neville for always making my and my sons stay at Perisher a 'home away from home' (my eldest son's words).

The room was warm, cosy and clean. It has all the facilities you need at a ski resort. It's not a far walk to the snow and the pub is a very short walk down the hill. At the end of a long day of skiing, the Hans Oversnow service will drop you off at the door so that you don't have to trudge up the hill - and this is included in the accommodation costs. There was no Wi-Fi or Internet access or television, but some may consider de-tech'ing to be a bonus. The water pressure was poor, and the water temperature was sometimes fluctuating in the shower. I could live with that and suggested to them that they put in low-flow shower heads to get a proper spray. All in all, I felt my money was well spent. Would definitely stay again.

Many school, community or sports groups visit the area and there are all the essential materials ready to hire. The lessons on the snowfields are excellent. The young ski instructors do their best to encourage all level of skiers. A few eating areas but not flash, on the fast food side. A good assembly point for teachers. First Aide Room is also very obvious.

Skiing is expensive especially with three kids and the snow can be hit or miss. Sure enough, we arrived to not much snow. The apartment we were staying in was great, even though the stairs were designed for mountain goats. It was comfortable and big enough that the teenagers could find their own space to cope with a lack of snow. It had all the cooking facilities that you could ask for, there was no reason to eat in the Stables restaurant. The thing is that its the sort of restaurant you go to for no reason. It has an early happy hour, with good mix of cocktails but the fun goes on for hours. The restaurant manager had a mix of charm and cheer that made eating there a great experience. On the second day the snow came, then came and kept coming. Each day the weather conditions varied and more snow came. The snow was great despite conditions that were sometimes less than pleasurable. When we finally left and we were all in the car on the way home, the kid's verdict was best holiday ever.

This is a great friendly lodge which is conveniently located in the Perisher Valley, easily…read moreaccessed on foot crossing the bridge behind the FV Quad Lift and walking up the road behind the Eiger Chalet. When the snow cover is good you can ride from the front of the lodge, straight down into the valley crossing the oversnow route and the bridge and onto to the quad chair. To get your gear to/from the lodge they have oversnow transportation. The lodge has a number of rooms featuring comfortable beds, good quality linen, tea and coffee making facilities and a small TV. Some rooms have renovated bathrooms. There is a great common area with bar, fireplace, plenty of lounges, several large televisions, a good soundsystem, table tennis, 2 pool tables, foosball table, buck hunter and a few other coin video games. The staff are friendly and the breakfasts and dinners are great. Recommended if you are looking to stay on the hill.
