They ask you to pay 10 dollars to hold your backpack in a completely insecure hall and they explain that it's a real service so we are supposed to stay until the end to avoid to disturb the attending believers. Nevertheless most of the attendance is composed by tourists and they are constantly entering in the "church" even while the priest is talking. At a specific moment they ask everybody to standup and to walk in a circle throughout the whole church and reach some baskets with a suggested offering of 10 dollars each person. It's a completely fake show just to raise some money from the tourists. Please, don't go there.

It has a Hilsong NYC church vibe to it, but in White Plains, the pastor is lively and sermons hit the mark. Love Love the worship, I do wish it were longer though, few more songs maybe. The worship team is pretty awesome. I just moved to white plains & the church's around here didnt do much for me b/c I didnt want same old, that just doesn't cut it anymore for me. The sturdy stone building with glorious stained glass windows houses a well maintained and moderately sized chapel with the choir seated at the front, directly behind the pulpit. The organ is placed to beautifully balance the architecture as are the arches and celestially painted blue walls. Every Sunday fresh flowers grace the alter and the music program will inspire even the most grouchy attendee. As for the sermons, you get out what you put in to it. If you don't bring your own ears to hear, you wont, if you know what I mean. This congregation literally puts their hearts and souls into good works and will change the way you give of yourself to life if you hang around long enough to listen to the outreach programs facilitated there.

This is one of the most beautiful and historic sites in all of New York City. The existing gothic revival church building was put up in 1853 and renovated after a fire in 1878. It is a NYC historic landmark. The cemetary is an entire avenue block long and block wide with grass and hundreds of year old trees and graves and mausoleums predating the Revolutionary War to the present time. Now it is kept locked although you used to be able to go in. But just walking past on a summer day you can feel the breeze blow through the trees and the feeling of being in another time. It is lovely. If you love history, you must see it. Located only one block from the Westchester Square subway station #6 train and several nearby restaurants, it still holds services on Sundays and Thursdays, hosts a food pantry, and has Alvin Ailey dance studio classes for children.
