Customer service has always been super kind and helpful. I often come in looking for something I saw on their Facebook page and they have helped me find it like their travel straws. The peanut butter chocolate ice cream is excellent and when you are looking for those hard-to-find items like Lime Rickey Pop Shoppe Pop or Peanut Butter Cap'n Crunch, this is the place you want to go. It is also great for finding special gift items and books, from essential oils to a unicorn corkscrew, this place has everything. Including retro candy and chocolate bars not to mention freshly baked treats too. This is much more than a general store. It is a treasure. Only here have I seen such a wild array of goods from all over the world that you won't find anywhere else. Exotic cheese? They got it. Premium Ginger Beer? Of course they do. Korean snacks and instant ramen? This is the place to check out. From plumbing supplies to rice cakes Busy Bee has it all. I can't say enough about how friendly the staff are and how professional they are handling their customers. Given their location on the corner of King and Bathursts entertainment district and being open 24 hours, they get a lot of party animals on weekends and the occasional panhandler sitting outside their doors.

Once at 11:00pm I realized that I needed a blank CD to load some files onto for the next day. With everything else closed, I took my last shot with Busy Bee. They were open and the only question they had in response to my blank CD request is "how many you need?" Definitely what you want to hear. It's a large store with a wide range of merchandise that will help you out in those emergency times of need. The staff are efficient in their manner and will help where they can. It does have the tired look of a place that is open 24 hours, but you'd be exhausted to, if you worked around the clock.

Thankfully I live across the street from it and can rely on it pretty well. The only reason I give it 4/5 is because of the hours. They close at 10 or just after on weekdays, that's too early! And Really early on Sundays -- but they are open on holidays. The family who runs it are very nice, and recognize their regulars. It's a great place.

I passed by this spot on my last visit to the largest retailer in the world…read more There was steady flow of people on the last visit so made a note to myself to visit this grocer when I am in the area. One of the bigger no frills and even has a kiosk to do your banking with the PC Financial. Lots of aisles and there is even a meat and seafood section. Decent selection of Ethnic items and some special cuts of meat though there was an off putting smell in the meat section. Produce section was well stocked. Checkout was drag but that was expected as it was the weekend and they had some special going on that kept bringing in people. One of the better no frills I have been to. 3.5 Stars.

GOT INSULTED BY CASHIER WORST EXPERIENCE!!!!…read more I decided to stop by this store for the first time in my life to buy a chocolate bar before my workout, with absolutely no negative expectations. I picked a chocolate bar and placed it on the counter. The cashier (an older Asian woman) told me the price was $6. I had initially taken out a $5 bill because that's what I thought the price was, so I politely asked her to repeat the price to make sure I heard correctly. To my shock, she snatched the chocolate bar out of my hands and told me that I didn't need to buy anything from this store. I was genuinely stunned by what she said and asked again to make sure I hadn't misunderstood her. She repeated: "You have no need to buy in our store. Prices are not what you expected." It was a terrible experience. I understand that she may have misunderstood something or made a mistake, but nothing gives her the right to insult a customer or effectively tell them to leave the store. I do not recommend this place. It's very disappointing that my first experience here completely ruined my mood for the rest of the day.
