My granddaughters have been attending to this school for 2 years now. The study technology is…read moreperfect making sure they fully master what they learned before they go on to the next subject. Personalized tutoring available. The Head of the school Mr. Jim Zwers, Dean Sikica Feldman, Elly Lago and the rest of the Staff go beyond the ordinary to make sure all students are happy, learning and having the best school experience ever. The school is very supportive of the personal goals of each student, guiding them in that direction so they can accomplish their goals. My granddaughters have learned not only academics but social skills and athletic training with the Knights cheerleading team. The holistic approach to education of CAI is brilliant preparing these students for life becoming the best version of themselves, ready to be successful in our society and contributing as a member of a group. I highly recommend this school.

I love this school. I love that she's in a space that demands so much from her. Not only…read moreacademically, but with her cheer squad as well. My daughter runs on a pretty intense schedule and to me that is a very high plus point. In the adult world where you have big dreams and goals, you need to be set up with education, discipline and persistence. You need to know how to be part of a group and a team member. I truly believe that this school will set her up in life. And I have to give a shout out to Julie the cheer coach. She has a huge job. I see that. But what she's providing to these girls is a a wonderful activity where they are winning. My daughter is so proud to show me her routine as she learns, she's so proud to have her cheer uniform and is sooooo excited to perform. As a mother it fills me with utter joy to dress her up and watch her perform. I'm so thankful that the school and its staff are all there creating this environment. And as far as the previous negative review. It is old and nothing like what I experience. Moving here from California, I needed fast response and assistance in getting my kids enrolled. The school staff were there for me. I needed something addressed, I waiting less than 5 minutes to speak with the Dean directly. My daughter takes flowers from home to her teacher and that to me is a great indicator she's happy.

Teachers are kind, but the uniform and dress code is absurd. Every five seconds, there is a teacher…read morecommenting on your hair, uniform, or even face. Sometimes, it seems they care more about dress code than the students' education. You shouldn't feel insecure every time you wear the uniforms. No fake nails, no mascara unless you're in 8th grade, maximum of 3 braclets (including hair ties), and you are not allowed to have more than 1 ear piercing. Let girls be girls. It feels like there are rules just to have rules and to seem strict. They also banned perfume and strong cologne. You are only allowed to go to your locker 4 times a day (including before and after school). They don't allow bringing food into school for lunch or breakfast ( including drinks). Kids shouldn't feel sexualized every time they put on a school uniform. Kids are starting to stop dressing out because of how strict the dress code is. The only things you can wear are a 6 inch shorts, sweatpants, and baggy jeans. Another thing is that they have useless classes. Technology shouldn't be a comp class and a normal class as well. Kids shouldn't feel stressed out because of a class that won't matter to them in 5 years. The bathroom rules are also strict, 1 student at a time. The teachers force you to use a planner, and they have to sign it every time you use the restroom, and you have to sign out on a sheet by the door as well. I feel like that is kind of extra giving that the bathroom is down the hall. The bathrooms don't have feminine products in the lady's room, which I feel is necessary. They don't have dividers in between the urinals in the boys' restroom, which is an invasion of privacy. You are not allowed to change for PE. Your shirt has to be tightly tucked in, and if it is not, you get a referral. If a boys hair touches their eyebrows, they have to get it cut within a week after the warning, or it leads with a demerit. Do you want every boy to have a buzzcut?! Overall, the education isn't bad. Just please let kids be kids. Not everyone is going to want to dress and look to your standards. Sorry to break it to you. I want students to feel comfortable in their school, if that means feminine products in the lady's room, or dividers between the urinals in the boys' room. Please take this into account and change some of the strict rules.

We moved to SCS from a Catholic School in Atlanta in 2018. My boys have enjoyed SCS thus far…read more Most important to me are academics and the IB program - and I have been very pleased with both. I have several friends who transferred in from other local schools and have all said the curriculum is more challenging at SCS. I am confident my boys will be ready for high school. Great school community environment too.
