I honestly stumbled upon this café due to a flyer. It was advertised as having an information video…read moreabout the Hundertwasserhaus. And given the fact that you couldn't go in to see the place, I thought the next best thing was to check out the video. Staff: A lady greeted me the moment I walked in. I showed her the flyer and she said choose any seat in the house. Because it was early in the morning, a weekday, and the fact that it was December, I was the only one around. I had used the limited German that I had learned the last few weeks and the sweet lady thought I was fluent. I couldn't keep up with the charade for long but it was nice to finally be able to use some of the German (most people on this trip looked at me and just spoke English by default). Ambience: This place is adorned with many art pieces. Seating is limited but that just made it more cozy and intimate which I love in a café. Plenty of souvenirs to look and purchase. I loved it. After the video was over I was offered markers and a guest book to write/draw in. I flipped through to see illustrations from people all over the world and from all ages. I'm not much of an artist but it felt impolite if I didn't write/draw in it, so I did my best with my lovely stick figures. She also offered books for me to read at my leisure, which didn't feel like they were trying to sell me something. Food: I had already eaten breakfast so I wasn't hungry, but I ordered at hot chocolate. It was freshly made and warmed my soul. It was definitely on the pricier side, but not much more than what I would've paid at Starbucks, and I was on vacation so it was easily justified. I ended up at this place alone, so I would love to go back and share this experience with someone next time!

This is a really cool cafe that I def recommend you go to if you visit Hundertwasserhaus. The owner…read more(I'm pretty sure) works the counter and her tables. I came during covid and she asked for proof. I came in for a coffee and she recommended some, I chose one with liquor in it! It was pretty awesome and I told her when I was paying and she thanked me, and told me that she created the drink herself. Super nice and friendly lady.
