It's not the easiest place to find, but St. Martin's is absolutely worth it! Myself and my partner drove around for quite a while and began to feel we'd never find the place, but the locals are more than happy to give directions and getting a little bit lost is part of the fun of traveling. Once you do find it, St. Martin's is perfect. Mary is a wonderful hostess. She is so friendly and more than happy to give you advice on where to go and what to see. Her breakfast was fantastic. And her brown bread was the best we had in Ireland. I wish I could have some right now. The location is perfect for Galway, just a two minute walk over the bridge to the center of town. It has all the benefits of being right in the city, like walking to the pubs and shops and easy access to all the city's sights, but since it's just over the bridge, it's quiet too... and we were there on Friday and Saturday nights. Our room was very comfortable and the bathroom clean. We ate breakfast looking out on Mary's beautiful garden with Galway just beyond. It couldn't have been a better experience. I only hope we'll have a chance to stay their again. read more
