After a month of asking them over and over they finally submitted a pre-authorization to my insurance company but didn't submit the correct clinical records showing I needed the test, despite the insurance company requesting them numerous times. They sent the wrong records to my PC provider missing the details of results. I am looking for a new cardio Dr now, I cannot stay with Dr Hinchman if his office staff is so horrible.

Yes, the office is run by a Nurse Practitioner, but he is knowledgeable about what ge dies - more so than physicians that I have seen over the years who had comparable time in practice - and, given the shortage of MD's in Idaho as I write this, provides someone that I can see rather than make an appointment to see in a month or two. I have never had a long wait. The office responds quickly and provides good information quickly even after my appointment is finished, e.g., when there are lab results coming back to them. Very clean, brightly lit, and plenty of things to make a visit comfortable (coffee, tea, ice water, chocolates and mints). I've been three years in a row and have always had very wonderful technicians. Everyone there treats you as a valued patient, and really takes the time to talk through what they are doing, what to expect, and to answer any questions.

I did fill out all the paperwork online yet, we were handled an ipad to answer more questions. While I find it extremely frustating, my wife had a cooler head. Finally, they took her back, and I stayed in the lobby. She was gone for quite a bit and I did a considerable amount of work while she was back there. She came out and was all smiles. She had been detected by St. Lukes mammogram and Dr. Menen as having dense breast tissue. Mammograms are not conclusive due to those machines. Lyra does an IV contrast and we were fortunate to find out that she did not have any masses. So far, we have not had any issues with billing and insurance, and if my wife is happy, then I will be glad to write the 5 star reviews.
