We were told not to come back to the E.R.. The Dr had a bad attitude. I'll die before I go back.

If I could give them no stars, I would. I was driving through Twin Falls when I felt a pain in my…read morechest, and right after my arms and legs lost normal mobility. I was having a hard time speaking and understanding people. I told my BF, who was driving that something was seriously wrong with me. He said my face didn't look right. It scared him to death. He took me to an Urgent Care, where I lost consciousness in the lobby. I woke up to nurses asking me questions and complete chaos in the lobby. Because this was an emergency, they had to call an ambulance and take me to St Lukes. When I got to St Lukes, I thought I would be cared for and my symptoms were going to be taken seriously. Turns out when I got there I would be treated in a condescending manner, laughed at, and ridiculed. The doctor and nurse made jokes about my condition "she thinks she is dying!!" while openly laughing at me and blaming my condition on drugs. They barely did any testing. Put something in my IV, and waited for me to come to. Eventually I was able to get my wits about me and explain what I had experienced. They told me nothing was wrong with me and discharged me. I felt like a fool. I cried because I TRULY did think I was dying, and to be laughed at and made to feel like they made me feel was absolutely deplorable. Fast forward 4 days later, I had another episode while on lunch during my normal work day. My left leg gave out and I was not able to walk straight. I call my BF and told him it was happening again. This time I was in Idaho Falls and went to Mountain View. They didn't make me feel like a fool. They didn't laugh at me. They literally did all the testing that SHOULD have been done at St Lukes. During the ultrasound, they found I had a Patent foramen ovale. I hole in the upper chamber of my heart. It was causing small clots to form and make their way to my brain and I was having transient ischemic strokes. NO ONE deserves to be treated the way they treated me. The doctor and the nurse should not be treating patients if they cannot have empathy. They had NONE!! If I had not gone to Mountain View and let the Dr and the nurse at St Lukes convince me that nothing was wrong with me, I could easily have had a serious stroke and have like altering circumstances had I not sought a second opinion. I did file a true complaint with the hospital about the dr and the nurse. I hope they take it seriously.

From the moment I arrived until I left several days later I was given the best care I have ever received in my life. Every single one of the staff from start to finish was extremely kind and very well trained. They are friendly and professional. They took excellent care of me and I would highly recommend anyone to go to this hospital when in need of medical assistance!!!! Your life will be in the best hands Idaho has to offer!!!!

One star is too much. Lisa, the charge nurse or nurse manager (whatever she calls herself) is an…read moreoverbearing narcissist. Her two kids work at St. Luke's in Twin Falls, too, and they all team up and bully the people who come in to visit their dying family members. Lisa threatens to call security for any tiny little thing she doesn't like about you, and yells at you with great disrespect. It's like she hates that anyone comes to visit, because she doesn't want people in her way or something. She doesn't want to be bothered, because I guess she's lazy and has absolutely no polite social skills. She literally yells and threatens to call security all the time, and you can see this happen from some of the other reviews. Lisa didn't make sure my dad had his discharge medicines, so he had to skip his medicines that day until I could find a pharmacy open the following day. That is NOT adequate care. She should be fired. Most of the other staff I met were very kind, but that does not make up for Lisa, because the person in charge is the person with the most power, and Lisa ruins and poisons the well of kindness that the other staff members may try to bring to the facility. Also, my dad's kidneys were failing, and he wasn't eating or drinking much at all. Most of the time, they did not try to feed him even though he could barely lift his arms. While I visited, I always held his water for him to drink, and only a couple other staff would help him eat and drink. Because his kidneys were failing from the treatment they gave him, he was on saline for a few days while they tried to flush the treatment out. When they decided it wasn't really working and he might die, they sent in the people to get a statement from my dad about "Do Not Resuscitate," commonly called DNR. When my dad wanted to allow resuscitation, the doctors took him off the saline because of the small risk of it being too much for his heart and his heart having "run." If there was a "run," they would need to rush him to ICU, and they did not want to be bothered with that. I found out because a nurse told me what was secretly going on. The nurse said that if I wanted my dad to be more comfortable and put back on the saline to help him stay hydrated, I would have to change his orders to Do Not Resuscitate. The nurse basically said they would rather his kidneys fail faster and I lose time with him alive than have the risk that he might need to be resuscitated, because they did not want to do any of the resuscitation procedures. The doctors tried to convince us that DNR was the right option, and really pushed it, but that was not my dad's wishes; he wanted to live. After I understood the game that was being played, I had his orders changed to DNR without my dad's approval, and so they agreed to give him the saline. He was fine on the saline (it did not harm his heart), and the saline helped him live comfortably a little longer before he finally passed away at home in hospice care. The doctors treat based on DNR or no DNR, not based on what is right for the patient.

On vacation, I developed spells of being horribly cold and shivering followed by intense heat and flushing of my face. Temps ranged between 100-104. I was immediately taken to a room, partial history taken and advised by the attending PA that I probably had an internal infection. No urine sample was taken. Heart and lungs were not listened to. My blood was drawn and I was told it would be 48 hours before the results were back. I had never been treated so poorly at any other walk in clinic I have ever been to. I feel they are incompetent. And they never attempted to contact me with my blood results! I went to St. Luke's ER where they diagnosed pneumonia, a bladder infection and thought there might be an underlying virus complicating things. St Luke's also has a walk in clinic. Go there.

I went there over a couple weeks ago because I knew I was fighting a bad UTI. Dr Whitlow (the…read morewoman doctor) prescribed me an antibiotic. However about a week after I was done taking it I could tell my UTI was not completely gone. I went and saw her and she proceeded to tell me that the COVID-19 has everybody skittish, and also due to my anxiety that sometimes we just don't feel good. I reiterated to her that I most certainly was very sick and I still had a UTI. I left feeling awful with no medicine. The very next day I was feeling so terrible, crying because the pain was so bad. I went to immediate care over by the Walmart, got right in. They tested me for a UTI in the office and it came back positive and he put me on a good strong antibiotic and he's going to culture it out. This is the second time I have been there where she wouldn't prescribe me medicine and made me suffer longer than necessary. I will never be back as she has no natural intuitive qualities about the health of her patients. Nobody should needlessly suffer. I give 0 's. So needless to say, I'm pretty upset that I am really really sick now and I could so be on the mend if she would've just listened to me. Save yourself the hassle, go elsewhere. Just thought I would share!
