The Good: They always have beautiful dresses and scarves, and I love checking out the boots they stock there in winter. They have a lot of Australian brands including Mink Pink, as well as some great labels from overseas including Dico boots. Now the bad: The service is inconsistent; some times the service is great; friendly and hospitable. But unfortunately more often then not, I have been really put off by the rude and bored staff that don't seem to care about customers. I bought a bag earlier in the year for around $100 and it broke within the week. I'm not talking one buckle, but the whole thing started to shred and the studs started coming out. Inzagi gave me a refund, which, I will happily admit was really great, but since then I have thought twice about buying from them again.

It looks like an old rooftop attic that's covered with cool antiques like you see in the movies. Some of could be seen as junk, some of it is amazing and some things you look at and just WANT IT! I saw this really cool old bike for sale and they had amazing old lamps that would look perfect in an outdoor courtyard. I feel like a lot of Melbourne cafes and restaurants would love a place like this to decorate their venue so it could look fashionable and cool. This trend has extended to peoples houses where I love having vintage decorations to make our home pop. Worth a look if you're into the old, vintage style.

And by everything, I do mean everything. Slightly bedraggled couches, medicine cabinets, ceramic oddities, architect drawing boards, cement mixers - no really, everything and anything is acceptable here, as long as it's not new. Whilst you're unlikely to walk out with a total bargain, The Junk Company isn't expensive either. It's just... reasonable.

Of course I knew about Geoffrey Hatty Applied Arts in Prahran, but as someone who doesn't have a spare $20k to drop on a 1930's French armchair every few weeks, I don't go there often. The warehouse has 'other' 20th century pieces that have been hand picked and shipped from Europe (mostly France and Italy), but that have not been deemed worthy of the flashy Applied Arts showroom. I could not believe how incredible this stuff is - there's a massive pink velvet quilted bedhead, huge industrial brass ceiling lights, ultra-sleek modernist lounge suites and a sideboard that is big enough to hide over ten corpses in. Or, you know, a lot of crockery. The building itself is pretty cool too - it really looks like an old school warehouse, the type you'd want to convert into a home and fill with this furniture if you had a spare couple of mill. The warehouse is open by appointment, or on Saturdays from 10 til 4. Well worth a visit for lovers of antiques.

I like to imagine this is where Ron Swanson gets haircuts. The cuts themselves are good, you can mutter a vague description of what you want and still end up with something cool. At about $30, it's also pretty decently priced. Just make sure to pick a time that won't have large queues (best to go during work hours, early in the day, or late in the day, and don't even bother on weekends).

I gave a somewhat vague explanation of what I wanted the outcome to look like and he went over it and made recommendations and explained what he was going to do to follow through with my request. The result was amazing. The only thing is that it's wicked dirty. Almost filthy to be honest. Hair from previous cuts was everywhere and not cleaned up. I don't think the clippers and scissors were cleaned or sanitized. The sink was filthy. It's far from third world country filthy, but by standards here, this place needs to wipe some stuff down and then some. Set traps for whatever creatures that may lurk in the shadows and crevasses.
