Browns aren't particularly modern - the setting isn't particularly sleek or sophisticated, it is quaint and modest. The attention is on the jewellery and the enormous precious stones that gleam out at you. Gold, silver, rubies, sapphires, emeralds, and diamonds - I've seen them all here. I was also impressed by how she was managing the store - she was quick to help customers and more than happy to have a chat with me about the opening hours.
