This is not the church for you, but if you're looking for Bible spirit fell Christians. This is the church for you. . The only regret is we lost our pasture back in June and we're still looking for a priest in charge, but we have a lot of gas preachers. We have services on Sundays and Wednesdays. Come check them out.

It is a wonderful treat to listen to, be drawn in by, and feel safely challenged to really sit with your beliefs and actions by the charismatic, charming, and sincere Rev. Amjad. Miss Bernadette is such a great Minister of Music she had me excited watching her rehearse the youth choir! She is so nurturing and inviting I want to be in her choir! The congregation has shown themselves to be warm without any pretense. They even passed the test during this second visit when they asked me to be a flag bearer, to which I politely declined, yet received no shame or shunning; simply honor and understanding that was exercising my right to participate at a level which was comfortable for me. If you're looking for a Reverend and congregation who seem to be really working to uphold the tenants of their faith, while offering an environment where any and everyone can worship, check out St. Paul's Episcopal!

I have been attending this church for over 20 years, so take this review as one from an "insider."…read more Calvary Church (calvaryefc.com) in Trumbull, CT is an Evangelical Free Church (efca.org) with an average Sunday attendance of about 600 people. There are two services each Sunday - one at 8:30 AM and one at 11:00 AM. The earlier is a (slightly) more traditional service, and the later is more contemporary. The church is known for its strong music ministry, strong teen and children's ministries, and Biblical preaching. Calvary Church believes that Jesus Christ is the only way to peace with God, and that the Bible is true and authoritative. If you are looking for a warm, welcoming church where you can be comfortable in either a suit or in jeans, Calvary is a good place to be.

Anyone looking for a church ck this one out. You wont regret it. I have to say this church has changed and I liked it much better when Pastor Scott, Pastor Dave and Pastor Mike were all there. I feel it has gone downhill. Pastor Peter you can barely hear him in the back because he is all over the stage when he talks and his voice is up and down. I just lost my desire to go there. It's not the same anymore. I took away 2 stars!

It is pastored by Reverend Ken Smith. I visited the church's morning service on November 22, 2009. The service began at 10:30 AM and ended promptly at 11:30 AM. There is a "coffee fellowship time" after the service which I was not able to attend. First Baptist church is a small church - capacity for about 198 people, there were about 45 attenders the service I was there. The people are very friendly, going out of their way to seek out visitors after the service. The dress is business casual - ranging from button-up shirts to suits an ties The worship style is traditional, although there is a small part of the service in which worship choruses are sung. The church had a community feel with members speaking up during announcements, and being encouraged to chime in at designated times during the congregational prayer. The pastor's sermon was topical, somewhat wandering, and drawn from both an Old Testament and a New Testament passage that was read in full. While the congregational age ranged from about 30 to over 80, but definitely leaned toward the senior citizen range. Overall, it was a pleasant worship experience. This traditional church was warm and inviting.

We like the friendliness of the members and pastor, and feel spiritually nourished each time we go. Like many small churches, First Baptist is changing as younger families become members, and the desires for the worship format evolve. We love the church because of its strong commitment to the community and to the greater world community. Outreach programs not only reach the homeless and those seeking to conquer addictions, but help bring medical aid to other countries, and financial and work relief to areas in this country devastated by natural disasters suc as hurricane Katrina. The church is inclusive and welcoming, and the pastor brings the word to the congregation based on sound theology and a loving concern for all.
