You…read morearen't heard, the principals grand daughter is in pre k as well half the week, and thinks if her shy granddaughter who doesn't engage with anyone, doesn't have boys touching her butt, exposing themselves to her, or calling her a butt hole and baby, that it probably isn't happening! Wow just wow!!!My pre schooler has been a target of bullying daily. School refuses to let me sit in even though I completed my child clearances and everything that they needed. My child has never gotten timeout or disciplined in school ever. She is very kind. We've had trouble with the kids who get time out almost daily, but yeah, today with no warning my daughter was just kicked out of Hershey Christian Academy effective immediately. Not even a goodbye, not even giving her her stuff. My daughter who has done nothing But been an amazing learner and helper and lover at the school is the one who ends up getting severely punished. I would never recommend the school to absolutely anybody!!!

I would like to start our review experience with the Bent Creek U-Gro facility by giving a little…read morebackground information about our family. My wife and I are foster parents and have been on and off for a very long time. In the fall, just before the pandemic started, my wife and I were asked to come back into foster care for a family of 4 siblings. This is where we meet M. M is rather large for her age, a ball of fire, and that is being subtle, I think. As the pandemic set in, and my wife and I needed to continue working, we were in need of childcare. U-Gro welcomed us and our little girl that was placed in our care, with open arms. When we first met M, she couldn't verbally communicate at all! Look at where she is now--you can hardly get a word in edgewise at times. There is so much our little girl has been able to learn and accomplish in a very short period of time, and during a pandemic all at the same time. My wife and I attribute so much of her growth to the U-Gro team and your determination to help our little girl grow up. As with every child that we have ever had in our house, our little one has experienced trauma in her life. I am certain that there are children in your care every day that have experienced different levels of trauma in their short lives also. In an effort to limit the effect of M's past trauma, we surrounded her with support systems: family, daycare "family," speech therapist, play therapist, CASA, caseworkers, etc.  This is the point where my wife and I find ourselves completely dumbfounded and completely canceled by the U-Gro Team! Why someone would completely ignore all of their training and go outside of M's support system and play God with her life is almost unforgivable. At the time I write this the U-Gro Team has removed the two strongest supporters M has in her life,family and U-Gro, and has managed to remove all our trust in the staff there. We all have worked so hard to protect her from ever having to experience another traumatic situation, but that is exactly what has been thrust upon us by someone on the U-Gro team.   When working with families in the future, staff should meet the families of the children they work with, outside of pickup/dropoff. They should also take the time to learn more about the histories and backgrounds of the children, asking for input on behavior/discipline issues from their parents and therapist (if applicable). They would be better informed, and know how to handle situations as they arise. My wife and I were such fans of U-Gro and the work you do day in and day out only to have it squandered by someone's lack of training and knowledge of the children you work with and inspire everyday.   I want to thank you for taking the time to read our review/letter.  Sincerely  Jeff and Tammy Martin

It is a very friendly congregation, and the Pastors are wonderful. After a few visits we knew that we had found our new Church home. Their message of Seen, Known and Loved is shown through all of the work they do. All are welcome. We would strongly recommend this Church to anyone looking for a new Church home.

I have been a member for the past 6 years and find Highland to be very warm and welcoming to all. Pastor Allison is fabulous, and the person that wrote the review about gays going to hell is very much mistaken (Thomas R. on 6/20/24) You will not find a more welcoming and relaxed church that isn't too big, with great programs for families. We moved to Lancaster mid-year and the staff and children at Apostles welcomed him with open arms. It has been wonderful to watch him flourish and grow within the community and I only wish he was moving on to Kindergarten with all of his friends from Apostles. My youngest son will begin his time at Apostles in Fall of 2023, so we are excited to continue with this wonderful school.
