My experience was wonderful. On October 9, 2019 I had triple cardiac bypass surgery. Pre-surgery…read morecheck up was conducted with ease and everything was on time. The next morning the check-in and prep were both friendly, efficient and non-stressful. The Cardiac Surgeon (David W Pantino, MD )stopped by ready and willing to answer questions, same for the anesthesiologist. I have no recollection of the next few hours but was in no discomfort in the cardiac recovery and ICU. The following morning I was transferred to the beautiful, bright, quiet (for a hospital) and friendly Cardiac Care wing. During my five day stay I was given great care by a fabulous nursing staff, seen at least once a day by either my surgeon (Dr. Pantino) or his fellow surgeon from Northern Light Cardiothoracic Surgery (Darryl M Hoffman, MD). Both were thorough and have wonderful senses of humor. The nursing staff was more than competent, they were concerned, kind and very capable. Even the food was good. So, I have no complaints only KUDOS!

Went in after a chemical exposure. Explained I was having respiratory issues and couldn't breath…read morewell, my chest was sore, and I had to force myself to manually breath. They took me back into a room quickly, but then left me there to sit in the room for 3 hours. I didn't even get my doctors name, I didn't even get to look at her for 3 full hours. I clicked the nurse call button once to ask for my doctor, they said shortly. I waited another 40 minutes and called again to which I received an attitude about how 'people are trying to die' in their care (weird way to say someone was in critical condition.. very unprofessional.) and that my doctor would be in shortly. I waited another 30 minutes before she FINALLY came in. She then proceeded to rush me, tell me I was 100% fine and didn't have breathing problems (that I knew I had as I was feeling them and was wheezing infront of them) and she discharged me (which then took another 40 minutes to print out papers???) and sent me home. Thanks for your concern for chemical ingestion. There's a reason this place only has three stars.

I'm a trans woman, and came in here to get some blood drawn…read more Pros: Big props for Katrina at the blood lab desk, who heard my sad tone of voice when she confirmed my name and offered to change my preferred name in the system! She was discreet and thoughtful and did everything I could wish a healthcare provider would do in a situation like that. Cons: When the phlebotomist Vanessa came out to get me in the waiting room, she called for me by my deadname- even though the paperwork Katrina gave me used my proper name. I corrected her and she acted really nervous all through the blood-drawing process. I wish I could count on meeting more Katrinas and fewer Vanessas when interacting with the healthcare system.
