Compassionate Care Hospice took care of my grandfather until January of 2025 when he passed. Our…read moreentire family was so please with every employee that he saw. His nurse Toni was so compassionate, competent and overall just wonderful, his aide Rachel , his chaplain Bill and the list goes on. The aid is 5 days a week, the nurse would sometimes even come twice a day just to tuck him in for the evening. They listened to our concerns, questions and most importantly kept my grandfather comfortable during his last days. I will certainly recommend Compassionate Care!

I have been supporting a friend through end-of-life care with her father. She has hired…read moreCompassionate Care Hospice and has felt their care has helped. However, this last week when she asked for more pain meds because she knew the prescription would run out over the weekend, the hospice nurse did not listen to her. Over the weekend, when the meds ran out, the on-call hospice nurse responded SLOWLY and then sent the wrong dose to the hospice physician. This was discovered later at the pharmacy and reported to the on-call nurse. There was no timely response, no updated prescription, and the pharmacy was closing. This meant my friend's father went without adequate pain meds from Saturday night to Monday morning. He was in unbearable pain, and the family was extremely upset. The hospice nurses did not show compassion and did not help problem solve. Three staff members failed to provide care that was consistent with the principles of hospice care: to relieve pain and to help families cope. While the majority of the care they have received has been acceptable, this experience was unacceptable, unethical and cruel. Be aware that even as a grieving family member you need to advocate for your loved ones, make sure you hire caring professionals, and that you are heard and well supported.
