The comedian was funny and completely appropriate for family. We sat in the balcony and could see perfectly and our seats were comfortable. Maybe st importantly, childcare was provided! There was one room for little ones and another for bigger kids. I came back to a happy boy and everyone be there was so kind. We felt very welcome and would definitely consider coming here again!

I did not go to this location, but to their South location (10227 State Route 48, Centerville, OH…read more45458), which is not on Yelp - it's fairly new. I originally met a group from this church at a community event where they had a booth set up. I am not Methodist (I am Baptist), but for some reason I was just drawn to them. They were bubbly, friendly, and so outgoing. I took their information, and went on my way. But for 2 weeks I could NOT stop thinking about that group I met. So finally, I said well...I'll just visit. See what they're all about. I have never felt more welcome at a church than I did this morning at Christ United Methodist. They are ultra low pressure, and are genuinely just happy you came. I've tried many different churches in the area, and have never had people go out of their way (and especially without me asking) to show me around and chat with me. After the service was over, the pastor took time to speak with me about some questions I had (as I really had no idea what Methodist was all about). I didn't feel like he was rushed or dumb for asking questions (on some heavy topics, I might add). He was very friendly, open to answering all my questions, and said he hoped he saw me again next week. This particular church is not progressive, but they're not ultra conservative either. Anyone from any walk of life will be eagerly welcomed, as the pastor says this church is simply "Jesus centered." I appreciated the warm, welcoming environment and friendly faces. I also enjoyed the more contemporary music from their band. They are a medium sized church, and offer the standard morning beverages (coffee/tea) in their kitchen area. It was a wonderful, refreshing experience, and I'll definitely go back!

Who is the true authority of the church? Who is the judge of the law? Is ministry a monopoly?Where…read morecan you find the good neighbor? Demons work on good people in many ways, two of the oldest tricks satan has in his book are gossip and vanity, and the evil one uses these devices synergistically. Gossip and vanity are things that inevitably inflict anxiety upon those who engage in them, anxiety is a gateway to all manner of other feelings that will lead to acts of sin, as humans we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Seek not to engage in gossip or vanity as you will not ever find the Lord dwelling within these things, let humility replace your vanity and let the Gospel lead you out of gossip and into the Light of the Lord's Truth, and find his Way. Jesus says, I am the Way, the Truth and the Light. Be the branch that dwells within His vine and you can live in The Way that will bring you the Light to be able to see the Truth. Seek not to hear rumors of evil deeds and dwell on them as this allows evil to dwell within your heart and will poison your mind against the Lord and his true Disciples. Seek not the vanity of your pride, or the vanity of your pleasing looks or the pleasing looks of others, or the favor that such things bring you, as you store up the riches of these things you turn your back to God, such as beauty fades so will your days, and at the end your fairness will be laid beside the lepper's as both return to ash at the lords calling. Be not a judge of the law for one cannot be a doer of the law when one is judging the law. Let us pray that; I have not the authority to tell you the law, or judge the law, my authority resides only in my faith in God that his will be done and I pray that it is His will to manifest His Kingdom upon my life and that I act as his hand at all times when I interact with others, this is a lofty prayer and as I make it I understand that the Lord will hold me to a higher standard of accountability, he will put more responsibility on me and that he will also give me a greater strength to overcome the evil of the world, this means I am Reverend in the eyes of the Lord, Amen. Those who ask for shame will be shamed, those who ask for forgiveness will be forgiven. Be mindful of your words, because although the food you put into your mouth nourish your body the words that come out of your mouth are nourishment to the soul of your neighbor, when you speak evil, or untruths, or twist the words of truth that are told to you, you seek out evil, and so you seek you shall find, seek the good in people because you can never make yourself better by putting someone beneath you, you only lower your own self. All are equal in the eyes of the true Church, and only by lifting your neighbor as high as you possibly can, will you be standing at your full height. Reverend Richard Lee Simkins III was moved by the Holy Spirit to provide these words for this church, its congregation, and all those who may come across this review, as the best treasures are reserved for those who seek them, that those who have ears may hear, those who have eyes may see, that the Kindom of the Lord is now, and the will of the Lord is upon those who have given themselves in offering. If you have read all of this I thank you for your sharing your time with me, and I want to offer you the Lord's Peace, that it may cradle you and keep you for ever and ever, Amen.
