The first time I attended a service I didn't think it was going to be our church home because it was in a gym. About 10 minutes into the pastor's message I felt a warm feeling of home and it has been our church for over three years at the time of this post. The people are welcoming, the message is what we need to hear, and the church really cares about our family. We have been stationed several places and this is absolutely our favorite church.

The Vineyard Christian Fellowship church plant in Beavercreek is a great place to go for a more…read morecontemporary church service. Located off of Indian Ripple Rd, the Vineyard has services 9am and 11:15am on Sundays and 5:30pm on Saturdays. I have been attending the Vineyard church since I started going to Wright State University 4 months ago. It has been a great place for healing, peace and calming. The services tend to be a little longer than the usual church service due to the amount of worship and praise that Vineyard has. Doug Roe the pastor at Vineyard always does such a great job with his sermons. He is always tying in every day life to the Bible and making it relevant to our lives. Vineyard does have a lot of guest speakers that do not take away from the church at all, but yet adds more knowledge to us since the speakers are highly knowledgeable about the subject. The only reason I am giving Vineyard 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the life groups aka small groups. For the young adults groups, they are a mix of couples and singles which I find a little annoying. Other than that, this church is growing at a fast rate and is always looking to reach out and help others.

But with their hours being 12-4 M-F (right on top of my toddler's nap time) and it being a 25 minute drive from home, it just wasn't a priority. Well, now it will be. When I arrived I found a huge main entrance with s welcome desk. The gentleman there pointed be straight back to the kids area. On the left there's another desk. Here I filled out a small paper - name, children's names and what church we currently attend. Then I was handed two stickers - one to put on my child and the other to be handed in when we leave. My husband and I were also given a coupon for a free drink from their cafe! Hubby immediately took our boy to play while I nursed and calmed my little one just down the hall where it was quiet. There were comfy chairs and plenty of space. The play area was quite as big as I'd come to expect. However, it was clean, it was closed off (so no children could easily escape lol) and it was colorful. There are two main play spaces. One with large soft blocks. I think this area is meant for two years and under. The other is a multi level jungle gym. It's padded and full of slides and lots of fun shapes to climb. My son is two and a half and tall for his age fit in nicely at the jungle gym. He's out going and has a lot of energy so this place was just his speed. Hubby was very happy with the free coffee band I was so excited to see they carry my favorite brand of tea - Harney & Sons! We will definitely be back soon!!
