Please visit another church nearby. I attended this church for seven years and saw the inner workings of the staff and pastors firsthand. My family was pushed out in January 2024 after a massive financial scandal was exposed by the accounting team, staff, and elders. Shockingly, those who tried to address and fix the situation were terminated, replaced, or forced to resign.
Despite the severity of the issue, the pastor refused to step down. There was no confession, no repentance, and no reconciliation--let alone repayment of the thousands of dollars misused. We were promised an audit, a new board, and improved policies, but to this day, nothing has changed. Worse yet, no explanation has been given to the congregation and deceptive finger pointing and throwing staff and family members under the bus has been their strategy. The pastors are always the victim here - never truly caring for the flock. Over 600 people had discernment and left the church and the pastors and new people they surrounding themselves with didn't care to follow up, receive feedback, or try to retain them in the church - if you ask questions you are removed. No submission to authority, no checks and balances.
The church finances are heavily entangled with the pastors personal life. Cars, property, debts, lines of credit, all entangled together - no budget in place, no opening of the books, even "elders" aren't allowed to see what's happening in the bank account.
This church suffers from a complete lack of governance, oversight, and financial transparency. If you can't handle the basics of financial stewardship, should you be in leadership of our spiritual beliefs? If you're looking for a church that values integrity and accountability, I urge you to look elsewhere. read more
