This is my home church. I'm thankful to have a place to worship the true and living God. This is a place that preaches/teaches the whole truth of the gospel. They don't change it to make it "appealing" to people, but rather trust that in giving the gospel honestly(even if it offends) it will reach and help those who really desire change in there lives. My husband and I have been attending for the last 2 years. We are both former drug addicts and found hope in Jesus Christ here. We are currently clean, sober and have this group of believers to thank for helping us stay that way. This church also has many ministries and outreaches (52 that i'm aware of) so if you want a church where you can get involved there's something for everyone. We are currently collecting shoes to send for overseas missions now- Sept 30. Just to clarify, the $ for the statue was given to the pastors for that specific purpose at the request of the donor, it was not funded by the church. Also, we do not in any way worship the statue, it is simply to let people know without question we are a church that is founded on Jesus Christ. I've had the opportunity to live in a few different states. Each time we moved, our 1st priority after securing housing was to find a church. When we visited Solid Rock for the first time last year, it didn't take long to know that we had found a new home church. We wanted to find a place that preached and lived the gospel of Jesus Christ. We wanted to find a place where people from different cultures, races and socio-economic statuses could worship Jehovah God. We wanted to find a place where people believe that God sent his only begotten son, Jesus, to die for our sins but is now seated at the right hand of the Father. Contrary to some of the comments I've read, we don't worship the sculpture. What we do worship is the living God and experience being in his presence every time we gather. I've seen up close how the outreaches such as the Darlene Bishop Home for Life save women's lives. Supporting missions both locally and abroad is a staple of this church. Great church with loving pastors and congregation. We all fall short of being like Jesus and we live in a fallen world so things will never be like our Father God intended from the beginning. No churches are perfect and we all go to church the hear a fresh word to sanctify us. Church is like a filling station getting you filled up so you can go out of the church to show Gods love to the world and this church focuses on that and does a great job. If you don't prefer showing emotion and worship a great God like he deserves it might not have an atmosphere for some conservative Christians, but I was that way at first and grew to be a person that wasn't intimidated or ashamed to express my feelings and emotions towards the God I choose to worship. I choose to believe that Jesus is my Savior and the Son of God. I believe in the Bible and loving and caring for God and his people. This church is filled with Praise, Glory and Holy Spirit. God is Alive and still on the throne. Sermons are Truth, Word of God, Altar call, Prayer, and Holy Spirit filled. The sanctuary alone will make you want to pray, fellowship and have the thirst for the Living Waters. Jesus, the Church, Pastors, and Congregation have changed my life. Thank you. Are you ready? This church is the best organization of kind and loving people I have seen in my 26 years of religious experiences. The administration leads people according to what God is speaking in their life. They have great activities almost every day for anyone of all age and life situation from drug rehabilitation, to college groups, to spanish-speaking, and the list goes on. The facilities are well kept and the food they serve at events and fundraisers is off the chain! I think churches that are under the spotlight alot are always criticized for any and all topics (such as the Jesus memorial that was privately funded - not money from the church or tithes) but what most people don't take the time to learn at Solid Rock is that it's not about the people, the facility, money, or even the "statue"... it's about GOD and that's why I attend there every moment I can! read more

This church donates to multiple ministries. It has an awesome youth program, marriage classes, music ministry, men's and women ministries, and several others including Home for Life which has taken many homeless and rebuilt their lives, Prison Ministry, and Harvester Ministry. I have been a member for over 20 years. I do not attend Solid Rock. But I do know the family well. Folks, if you only knew the outreaches that this church does, the community help that they give to those in need. There is a home where unwed mothers live and learn. Lawrence II preaches in prisons, and has a fantastic music ministry. And so on and so on. These remarks on here are soo off base, please visit the church before blasting them. Darlene is a wonderful pastor with a servant's heart. So what, if they want a huge figure out front. How many people are talking about it? Of those, how many people may have even visited their website? If one person has been saved, it has it not been worth it? I have been to many churches across the country and there are none better and no more generous people than at Solid Rock!this church gives millions to missions in Brazil and other countries not to mention the free help they give to women in need at their unwed mothers facility. I would NOT recommend this church to ANYONE!!!! The negative things that I can say about this church, it's leadership and members of it's congregation are endless! People here are doing work for $$$$... not work for "the Kingdom" as they profess. I was raised in similar Christian faith and have NEVER seen more hypocrites in my entire life congregated in one location. It's one of the most diverse churches anywhere. The Pastors preach the uncompromising word of God and are very personable and down to earth. The atmosphere is electrifying and the people are loving and genuine! By the way, if I would have listened to everything I heard about this church I would never have experienced it! Don't listen to the critics that has never been there rather find out for yourselves.. An absolute wonderful place to worship GOD and praise Jesus Christ with other great humble loving Christian people. Lawrence Bishop was a great preacher and musician. Darlene Bishop is an amazing speaker and a great woman of GOD. Lawrence Bishop ||| is a hilarious and awesome teacher of the word. I can't wait to get in our sanctuary to participate in our worship singing songs with others led by a super talented choir and Johnny Cox. There are so many great people from this church. I love this place. Im also going to ignore all the silly negative posts that are on here. Solid Rock changed my life completely. I have another family here at North and South Campus and because of the many events going on at this church i got saved because my sister invited me. Solid Rock is on fire for God and out to win souls for God. Solid Rock is a church ALIVE. Solid Rock Church is an awesome church with 2 great, anointed pastors who preach the true Word of God. They don't compromise. SRC gives back to the community in so many ways. They have a Home for Life for girls dealing with pregnancy, addictions, abuse, etc., and also have an orphanage in Brazil. They do many outreaches, and have many ministries to get involved in. As a fellow Christian I am so embarrassed by the actions that Solid Rock Church is taking. They are abusing our right to religious freedom by staying open during the COVID-19 crisis. In 2020 there are plenty of ways that a church can worship together without bringing hundreds of people together in one place. This is a great church. I honestly don't think some of the 1 star reviews have even attended this church. I thoroughly enjoyed the music of the "fire choir" and the preachings of Lawrence Bishop II, and Darlene Bishop.
