This was previously a 5 star review from my experiences with customer service. I run a nonprofit horse rescue and get coupons from Purina for horse feed. I have frequent problems with them, but today was the worst. I was running behind and despite my clear communication that I was giving her 3 coupons (said 3 times), she only rung up one. We had already swiped the card, so she had to process a refund. I expressed I was running short on time and she said it would be quick. She then processed an EXCHANGE and called us "even" and wanted to ring me back up for the 2 coupons she had missed. So she wanted me to buy 2 bags of senior feed ($29) at full price, not need or get a real exchange, then pay the discounted price ($9) for the same two bags. At this point a manager (Jim) had come up and was backing her up saying it all made sense and that we were "even." Though I had been charged too much and not refunded anything and they wanted more of my money. I asked him for reassurance this wouldn't happen again and he just mansplained that the job was hard. No apologies, nothing. The customer service rep (Sheila) was the only thing that saved the situation by understanding the situation and taking over to help process our refund and get our coupons applied. I spend hundreds of dollars in this store weekly, and this situation has me considering finding a new feed store that actually supports nonprofits and the coupons we need to keep working. If I do go back, Sheila will be the only reason. I am extremely disappointed in this situation.

Chip also gave me some great tips on fly fishing and areas to go. Whenever I am up here visiting family, I love coming in and chatting with Chip and the other staff too.     This visit was a disappointment from the moment I walked in…read more I'm new to the area, and as a long-time John Deere equipment owner, I came in hoping to make Ragan my new dealer. I expected the staff to be professional and knowledgeable. Today I was ready to buy an Ariens Pro snowblower and had one simple technical question. Instead of allowing me to speak with the mechanic or service manager, the service desk brushed me off and told me to "go talk to sales." The service desk rep was rude and snarky the entire time, even tossing sarcastic comments as I walked away, saying, "If we answered everyone's questions, we wouldn't get any work done," despite everyone in the shop sitting around doing nothing. The experience was unnecessarily unpleasant, and I'll be taking my business to a dealer that values good service.

We took it in once for general maintenance. Last month, we heard a loud noise and the snow blower quit working. We called Ragan in the morning and they drive out that afternoon to pick it up (around 45 miles one way). The gentleman stated he had an idea what was wrong with it. Within 48 hours, there was a diagnosis ( this was the week right before Christmas). Ragan was able to get it fixed and delivered it back to us within two weeks. Considering it was the holiday season and sometimes getting parts can be cumbersome, they did a great job. And the fees for transporting but we're more than reasonable considering gas prices right now. Awesome customer service
