The 1 star reviews are entitled teens who refused to learn real life lessons and chose to complain rather than grow as people. As a farm kid, I absolutely blossomed because I knew how to roll up my sleeves and pick myself back up. This was the best experience of my life. I walked in here, assuming I could match my 98% average from school. Nope. I broke down, hard. That little number, a grade, defined who I was and it was shattered on the floor. I learned that I was more than a number. THAT was the lesson. Then I was given more work than I could reasonably complete. I broke down, again. Hard. I learned to prioritize, schedule, and say "no". THAT was the lesson. Then, I had a major personality clash with a professor. I learned to live in her silly world rather than rage and force my own views. THAT was the lesson. Then, life outside of school hit me harder than I could handle. The moment I reached out, student services and every single professor was immediately there for me. I learned I was never alone, that adjustments would be made, and that it would always be okay. Also, their student services team is always open and helps with anything you can think of. They literally counselled myself, my partner, and our toddler, helped me find and apply for scholarships, and have a small food bank. Just walk in. Anytime. You can even schedule it if you want to. There is a thriving, welcoming queer community, neurodivergent community, people in their 40's, teens, parents, everyone artistic or techy. It really is an oasis out there. Lastly, I never really write reviews. Actually, most successful alumni here don't, simply because they're too busy with their careers - perhaps why this rating is low. People say "scam" because their entitlement was shattered the moment they realized this isn't a pay to win ticket with cute little grading systems. You're not a number here. You're a person. Well let me tell you my success with CATO I attended CATO in January 2018 for the 1 year Network Administrator program. 12 months later I graduated in December 2018. I am 3 months into 2019 and I have my CATO diploma and currently work as Desktop IT Support for a Texas oil and gas corporation downtown Alberta. My entry level pay is $25/hour which will only increase as I gain more experience and certifications. CATO will help you learn everything you need to get your foot into the IT industry. The student loans can be paid off quite quickly with the amazing pay of being an IT professional. You can work anywhere in the world, I've had interviews with companies in Toronto, Edmonton, Calgary, Miami Flordia, Houston Texas, Hungary, and even London UK. Ended up landing the Texas oil and gas job. I have never been happier.. attending CATO was the best decision of my life. So if you are debating on going to CATO, please don't let the bad reviews turn you off. It is not CATO's fault that a student did not succeed. What a great find for the little ones! We attended the theatre just before Halloween for Bunnicula…read more(classic vampire bunny story), it was great - the little ones really liked it, and we were entertained and laughing as well. They are located on Cannery Row, looking out across the Prospera Place parking lot towards the Delta Grand Hotel. They also have classes and workshops as well as live theatre. The theatre itself is more of a large room with a stage area and seating all on one level. The seating is folding chairs, about 6 rows I would guess. They have cushions at the front on the floor for the kids. It appeared they had seating for about 50 people, but it was only about 1/2 full when we were there. I recommend you come early for the best chance at good seating, if you were short and stuck in the back it might be an issue (unless you wanted to lounge with the kiddies of course). They keep the shows to around an hour, which was perfect. It was a fun night out, and we'll definitely do it again; highly recommend you check it out.

I took their Class 1 Advanced Training classes. They were very serious about getting me trained,…read morelicensed and driving smoothly. They pounded a lot of information into me. They give theory classes on air brakes and then safety and road knowledge as well as situational discussions. Then they train you in the trucks. The units are a bit older (around 2000's), but I like the fact that I got to train on several brands of 18-speed tractor-trailers including 2 Internationals that looked identical but drove sooooo differently and a 5-speed coach bus. I worked those trucks hard learning and developing my skills. Pardon the pun, your mileage may vary in regards to the value of the price and how quick you can absorb it. It's very very difficult to find work fresh out of truck driving school unless you have a connection in the commercial driving industry to get you a good job. I do not have an uncle or a father or a good buddy truck driver so I am at a major disadvantage. Nobody really tells you how the industry does not like to hire new, inexperienced drivers, so that will be the biggest hurdle you will face when you kiss that class 1 license ICBC issues you when you pass and think you're going to earn the big bucks. However, I saved my money from 15 years grocery store stocker job and paid my own way, taking their $7390 course. They did give me a T2202 receipt for my taxes at the end of my course which came in handy at tax time. A lot of the Okanagan truckers that I met in the loading bay say Taylor Pro and Extreme Pro have a good rep which is how they got my business. These two are "separate" companies but work out of the same office. The point is, I trained with Taylor Pro, successfully earned my class 1 in BC with their guidance with four different instructors with four different styles, including one session with the owner. Their course took one month and I finished in December 2015, began throwing out resumes like crazy at the end of January 2016. On my resume I made sure to post that I got my license through Taylor Pro in case their reputation had an advantage or an employer graduated from Taylor Pro. I sent about 30 resumes, I did get callbacks from 5 or 6, and got 2 interviews and 1 company telling me they would hire me as soon as I got 6 months of experience. For now (March 2016) I work for a local moving company with a fair boss. I'm not making the big bucks of the long haulers or the oil patch drivers but my boss won me over by telling me he would get me home every night. I start most days at around 9am and finish when the job is done, between noon and 6pm on most days. I never see weird shift work anymore or graveyard shifts. I already make as much as I did at the grocery store and peak season in the moving business is still coming, May to September. Eventually, I will move onto a different driving job but I am happy and employed, Taylor Pro gets a fiver from me because of that.
