Absolutely amazing! Got screwed over by another local driving school (don't want to throw anyone…read moreunder the bus) and All Weather took me on super last minute despite the busy summer schedule. Passed my Class 5 with flying colours! Staff was very understanding (and was the only school to answer their phone!) and the instructor (Darrell) was very thorough. Definitely recommend for anyone looking to take lessons before the test. Good luck everyone!

I took their Class 1 Advanced Training classes. They were very serious about getting me trained,…read morelicensed and driving smoothly. They pounded a lot of information into me. They give theory classes on air brakes and then safety and road knowledge as well as situational discussions. Then they train you in the trucks. The units are a bit older (around 2000's), but I like the fact that I got to train on several brands of 18-speed tractor-trailers including 2 Internationals that looked identical but drove sooooo differently and a 5-speed coach bus. I worked those trucks hard learning and developing my skills. Pardon the pun, your mileage may vary in regards to the value of the price and how quick you can absorb it. It's very very difficult to find work fresh out of truck driving school unless you have a connection in the commercial driving industry to get you a good job. I do not have an uncle or a father or a good buddy truck driver so I am at a major disadvantage. Nobody really tells you how the industry does not like to hire new, inexperienced drivers, so that will be the biggest hurdle you will face when you kiss that class 1 license ICBC issues you when you pass and think you're going to earn the big bucks. However, I saved my money from 15 years grocery store stocker job and paid my own way, taking their $7390 course. They did give me a T2202 receipt for my taxes at the end of my course which came in handy at tax time. A lot of the Okanagan truckers that I met in the loading bay say Taylor Pro and Extreme Pro have a good rep which is how they got my business. These two are "separate" companies but work out of the same office. The point is, I trained with Taylor Pro, successfully earned my class 1 in BC with their guidance with four different instructors with four different styles, including one session with the owner. Their course took one month and I finished in December 2015, began throwing out resumes like crazy at the end of January 2016. On my resume I made sure to post that I got my license through Taylor Pro in case their reputation had an advantage or an employer graduated from Taylor Pro. I sent about 30 resumes, I did get callbacks from 5 or 6, and got 2 interviews and 1 company telling me they would hire me as soon as I got 6 months of experience. For now (March 2016) I work for a local moving company with a fair boss. I'm not making the big bucks of the long haulers or the oil patch drivers but my boss won me over by telling me he would get me home every night. I start most days at around 9am and finish when the job is done, between noon and 6pm on most days. I never see weird shift work anymore or graveyard shifts. I already make as much as I did at the grocery store and peak season in the moving business is still coming, May to September. Eventually, I will move onto a different driving job but I am happy and employed, Taylor Pro gets a fiver from me because of that.

Recently attended in Peachland, Herb and Mushroom medicine ID course run by Corinne. Really enjoyed…read moreher enthusiasm and knowledge. This was my first time foraging and Corinne was quite patient with me. It's changed how I hike now, much slower and taking in more of my surroundings as I look for medicinal / nutritional value in the forest. Giving a 4 out of 5 as I would have liked the booklet she provided as hard copy as it was difficult to follow via my phone. And identifying while walking would have been a plus on a sheet of paper. Would I recommend, yes, she is very knowledgable and when she does not know or is not sure she tells you. FYI, she has provided advice via mushroom identification for me since the course too, so now I have a resource. I am now hooked on foraging! Taking another course in August here in Calgary for a local look at things.

PARENTS BEWARE!…read more If I could give negative stars I would, and it is extremely unfortunate that this is the case as there are precious few places where children in the Okanagan can have a Montessori education. To be fair, at one time, they had a couple stellar humans in their employ and when we first started there we honestly felt quite highly about the place, but those few good ones have moved on and everything has gone downhill. The remaining staff are completely untrained in any sort of de-escalation tactics for little ones, which as daycare and preschool caregivers they should be well versed in. They cannot handle any sort of confrontation with children or parents. Staff are unprofessional and severely lacking in basic communication skills and are incredibly disorganized as a result. Their curriculum is also completely under stimulating for children who actually want to learn. The staffing changes and subsequent changes to how classrooms are organized, resulted in an immediate shift in our child's behaviour. we went from "I love my school" to "none of my teachers like me and I'm not special" almost overnight. In our attempts to open up better lines of communication with the teachers and get to the bottom of where this was coming from we were given conflicting information about what the expectations were (one teacher told us that the expectation was that our child would lay quietly on a mat for an entire hour without any activities while other children napped, and that if we wanted activities provided during that hour we should send them from home, only to be scolded by another teacher the following day for sending activities from home and that they provide activities after 10 or 15 minutes) and conflicting information about what was going on in the classroom in general. As another means of addressing our concerns, we requested a meeting with the manager. This request was ignored for 2 months (we requested a meeting in mid-March and did not receive one until the beginning of May when things had gotten significantly worse. During this time, we continued to receive conflicting information. After 2 months of trying, we finally got a meeting with the manager and the teacher during which we discussed at great length our concerns around communication and together worked on a plan as to how to address the lack of communication and the behaviour that the teachers were clearly unable to handle - behaviour included running around the classroom and requesting alone time sitting in the hall when overwhelmed. In our discussion, we all agreed that the problem here was our child was bored, and not content to just sit and colour pictures for 8 hours a day, that she needed to be challenged and made to feel helpful so we left the meeting with an action plan, which included some follow up with our child at home as well as some actions that the team there would take such as a classroom switch so that our child would have better stimulation and different support. The action plan was never implemented, instead we received a very unprofessional letter (partially typed, partially hand written) advising us that we were being given 2 weeks for our child to show improved behaviour. There were no performance objectives as to what they were looking for or how we were measuring this, no opportunity for questions or anyone to direct questions to. The manager then proceeded to actively avoid us (both my husband and myself literally saw her run away when she saw us coming, and I wish that was an exaggeration) for an entire week while none of the commitments we had discussed during our long overdue meeting were put into action by the staff or the manager there and we continued to get no communication or conflicting communication if any at all. We have been asked to pick our child up early without any explanation, or for things as simple as running around the yard during their outside play. It appears they are at this point looking for any excuse to just be rid of us. We were given a note "if you choose to terminate care we won't hold you to a 1 month notice". Overall, I find it nothing short of disgusting that they are even in operation. We recognize that our 4 year old is not perfect, but as parents, it is our job to stand up for her when she is not the one entirely at fault. I highly recommend parents who are seeking quality care and education look elsewhere because it does not exist here!!

What a great find for the little ones! We attended the theatre just before Halloween for Bunnicula…read more(classic vampire bunny story), it was great - the little ones really liked it, and we were entertained and laughing as well. They are located on Cannery Row, looking out across the Prospera Place parking lot towards the Delta Grand Hotel. They also have classes and workshops as well as live theatre. The theatre itself is more of a large room with a stage area and seating all on one level. The seating is folding chairs, about 6 rows I would guess. They have cushions at the front on the floor for the kids. It appeared they had seating for about 50 people, but it was only about 1/2 full when we were there. I recommend you come early for the best chance at good seating, if you were short and stuck in the back it might be an issue (unless you wanted to lounge with the kiddies of course). They keep the shows to around an hour, which was perfect. It was a fun night out, and we'll definitely do it again; highly recommend you check it out.
