That TV WAS working...If 1 works, they all should! We had requested a room in the 2nd bldg where you pull right up to your room. The front desk said they were booked over there...but in the morning it was empty...only 2 cars were parked over there. FULL? really. We were not happy at all!

My husband gave me a seminar for Christmas and it is still one of the best gifts I have ever gotten. The Seminar teachers are very good and treated me as though I was a valued friend. Property lines up along a scenic lake with a foot bridge to get to the boathouse. Plenty of grey, black, and orange/red squirrels, chipmunks, and seven deer roam the grounds. We saw the deer at sunrise and dusk. Open the curtain to the siding glass door and the deer look right at you. *Photo op I tell you. The kitchen is stocked rather well with most cooking and serving items you need for meals inside. Patio has a small grill. Our two bedroom two bathroom unit has one bathroom on each level. That means no master bathroom. We made it work for us for the time we were here. One thing we didn't like is there wasn't any extra boxes of tissues. We came for Spring Break and we have seasonal allergies. Thankfully we didn't run out of tissues. There was plenty of towels and tp, oh and blankets. Decorated in mountain cabin and bear motifs. Sturdy (and clean) chairs, couches and rocking chairs. Plenty of places to sit and read. Master bedroom has a sliding glass door that leads to a private balcony. Lower level sliding glass door leads to a patio that's part of the common area. And deer hang around here. Located an hour or more from several ski resorts in both WI and upper peninsula MI. Keweenaw peninsula is a great day trip from here.

We arrived just before 4 PM on Saturday (before the office closed) but their clocks must be fast versus our cell phones. We dropped off our paperwork and finally saw someone the day we checked out. The beds were not uncomfortable but we didn't sleep well. Overall, everything was fine but not great.

It has a small shop to purchase items (sweatshirts, hats, t-shirts, jackets, etc.) Games are available to check out & DVD to rent for a small fee. In the 2-bedroom condo, the master bedroom had a king and the other bedroom 2 twin beds. The condo looked like it was newly updated. Condo close to the pool. Outdoors / Up North decor & nicely done & Clean. LOVED the gas fireplace. Flip the switch and flames and residual heat ... it was comfy toasty. Kitchen stove is a flat surface, microwave, coffee maker, refrigerator / freezer. The kitchen is STOCKED with pots and pans. They could have had more dishes and utensils since I hate to run a dishwasher without a full load of dishes. The kitchen table and chairs are STURDY .... Very well built. The table can be opened up to expand the size of it. The bedding was soft, warm, cozy, mattress was good, and did not need any extra blankets. The only downside (especially for the bedrooms) is that there are only 1 or 2 lamps in the bedrooms. It was DARK in the rooms. We struggled to find things after we unpack (especially since we have black items ... coats, purses, wallets, phones, etc). There were dark corners and shadows. I wish there was at least a light fixture above in the ceiling (like a fan and light combo). This is the only 'bad' thing I can say about the condo. When you need lights in the room to see (for reading in the living area, bedroom to find things, etc.) there was NOT enough Bright Lights when you needed them!!! Pool is large, VERY clean, and 84° (aaahhh). Hot Tub 103° (extra aaahhh and relaxing). Adult only swim from 7:30am-8:30am. Pool towels are supplied -- BIG ones ... not small little ones. Be aware, there are steps to go down to the pool and no outdoor shoes which is a MUST because that dirt goes right in the pool. The pool is one floor below the 1st level. In the summer there is a patio deck to go out to the outside (closed for the winter for only emergency use ... that is understandable.) When you enter the pool on the 1stfloor, you are ABOVE the pool/hot tub. I have never seen this before, but it is pretty cool. There are tables & chairs for you to sit in the pool entrance area and loads of them down close to the pool itself. Pool and hot tub sparkling clean. Adult swim quiet but rest of the pool time it was crazy busy with families and kids (a bit noisy for our taste). Wonderful showers in the pool area - 1 large family changing / shower / bathroom & upper deck 2 showers and 3 individual private bathrooms. Did not try the dry sauna or the fitness center, but I saw treadmill, bike, etc. Restaurants - Would go back to each of these again, within price point, every liked what we ate. * Alexander's Pizza YUMMY had a supreme and it was good. Be aware VERY kid friendly and is noisy when there are a lot of children around - if you don't like the noise ... take it to go. * El Tarasco Mexican Restaurant - authentic Mexican, delicious. Busy when we got there but good service. Their chips and salsa brought to the table was awesome. * Minocqua Yacht Club (AKA The Yacht Club) - everyone had a sandwich or burger; tasty. The French fries were not steak fries, but not skinny. You could taste the potatoes in them. Good service. We went early around 5pm and beat the crowd. * T Murtaugh's Pub And Eatery - beautiful high ceilings and wood work and sitting area. We should have looked at the menu for Friday Fish. They only had haddock and cod. We are not fans of this type of fish. We tried and ordered anyway. Still don't like cod / haddock BUT the clam chowder is to die for VERY good. The rest was good too (potato salad / French fries / drinks). Spectrum was the provider for the TV. LOVED having a "guide" and easy to use. Had a DVD, VHS too. There was a vacuum cleaner, broom and dust pan in the hallway closet and can put a few coats in there too or luggage. The traffic, conversations in the hallway was not bad at all. It obviously got a bit noisy over the weekend due to New Year's Eve but not a problem. We came for relaxation and that is what we got.
