Specialties
Saint Francis PT offers physical therapy from head to toe, for pain relief and physical rehabilitation. All physical therapy is one physical therapist to one patient. Rates have been set to be affordable for many people with no insurance or high insurance co-payments. Rates are: $25 for 45 min treatment, $40 for the first session (Evaluation and treatment-- up to 75 min). Hours can be extended to accommodate your schedule. The owner, Ken D'Antonio, in addition to being a licensed physical therapist, is also a Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist. All physical therapy is provided by the owner. The one patient in the clinic receives full attention. One of the helpful techniques practiced at Saint Francis Physical Therapy is Fascial Manipulation®.
Fascial manipulation®, is a technique developed by Italian physical therapist, Luigi Stecco, that reduces pain and stiffness by attempting to restore a fascial layer called loose connective tissue to a more fluid state. It is a hands on treatment involving deep oscillating pressure over specific areas. Fascial manipulation can treat body regions from head to foot. In a research trial published in Journal of Bodywork and Movement Therapy (January 2019), a group of low back pain patients receiving fascial manipulation® plus standard physical therapy treatment had almost three times the improvement in pain rating versus a group receiving standard physical therapy treatment alone.
History
Established in 2019.
Saint Francis Physical Therapy was opened in 2019 by Ken D'Antonio, PT who provides all the therapy. The biggest change in my practice came from taking a six day course in Fascial Manipulation® and putting in many hours of study on this technique. Fascial Manipulation® is a powerful soft tissue method for reducing pain and improving movement. Bringing knowledge of this technique into practice has helped multiple patients.
Meet the Business Owner: Ken D.
Ken D'Antonio, Physical Therapist, Certified Athletic Trainer, Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist started Saint Francis PT in 2019. I took an early retirement from the VA where it was an honor to work with Veterans for more than 10 years. I have a goal to practice health care in a way that patients may not normally receive. Specifically, I offer the following:
1. One patient in the clinic at a time receives full attention.
2. No waiting in a waiting room.
3. Generous treatment times.
4. Rates which are affordable for many people with high copays or no insurance.
5. Using my hands to try to reduce pain and help function, especially with the Fascial Manipulation®
method.
6. Taking the time to listen to patients, even patients with very complex histories.
