The managers treat the employees like they are beneath them, their training is poor and I personally would not take my dog there.

From the moment I arrived, through surgery, and into recovery, I was surrounded by people who truly care about what they do. Dr. Michael Shumaker, my surgeon, and the entire operating room team were absolutely outstanding. Going into a second surgery can come with a lot of emotions, but I had complete confidence in their skill, professionalism, and teamwork. I am deeply grateful for the care and precision that went into my procedure. I also want to recognize the entire surgical staff in the room that day. While I may not know every name, I know I was in the hands of a highly coordinated and dedicated team that ensured my safety and success. Recovery was the most challenging part, especially when it came to pain control--but this is where this hospital truly showed its strength. The recovery team worked hard to get my pain under control. They did not give up on me, and that matters more than anything. Pain after surgery is real, and having a team that continues to adjust, respond, and care makes all the difference. A very special and heartfelt thank you to Mike Gemma, the anesthesiologist. What he did for me went above and beyond. He stepped in, advocated for me, and made sure my pain was taken seriously by speaking directly with the nursing staff. That kind of advocacy is rare, and it changed my entire experience. I will never forget that. I also want to recognize the nurses and staff who made a lasting impact on me: Patrick D--there are not enough words to thank you. You cared for me during one of my most vulnerable moments, and you did it with dignity, compassion, and zero judgment. What you did mattered more than you probably even realize, and I will never forget your kindness. Patrick G and Anna--you both were phenomenal. Thank you for staying on top of my medications and helping keep my pain controlled. Your attentiveness, responsiveness, and commitment to my comfort made a huge difference, especially during the hardest hours when staying ahead of the pain mattered most. Brooke--thank you for being part of my care and for communicating with the anesthesiologist to help improve my pain management. That effort did not go unnoticed and played a role in getting things where they needed to be. Jessica from Physical Therapy--you were an absolute hoot. You made me laugh, kept me motivated, and somehow made physical therapy feel less intimidating and not nearly as rough as it could have been. That kind of energy is a gift, and it made a real difference in my recovery. Valerie--your housekeeping and hospitality were truly exceptional. You did more than keep the room clean. You brought comfort into it. Your kindness, attention to detail, and warm presence made a huge difference in how I felt during my stay. And to every single staff member involved--from the surgical team, to recovery, to physical therapy, to housekeeping, to those working behind the scenes--thank you. It truly takes a team to deliver this level of care, and it showed in every interaction I had. Having now gone through this experience twice, I can confidently say this is a team that not only provides excellent medical care, but also treats patients with compassion, dignity, respect, and humanity. That is something special, and it deserves to be recognized. Thank you all for taking such wonderful care of me.

I could speak to the level of care here which we've found to be high quality, but since I've never had a procedure here myself, I'm going to focus on the advocate/patient-partner side of things. (You know, when you're required to have someone drive your groggy, post surgery ass home.) The waiting room is spacious, comfortable, and lacking the boisterous obnoxious riffraff you'll come across in waiting rooms at the hospital downtown. The folks at the front desk are kind & welcoming. You are given a voucher for a drink and a snack at their cafe, which is a warm, rare and wonderful gesture in the stingy modern medical industry. In addition, there is free coffee which is provided by Marlowe's coffee service and really good! When was the last time you had decent coffee in a waiting room? Never, that's when. Our post-op nurse (James or Joe. I'm sorry, we forget your name. He was tall & slender) was cordial and informative. He joked around while still maintaining the utmost professionalism. He made sure we understood the aftercare instructions and clearly explained the steps to take if something wasn't quite right. He was great! One thing I didn't love. They gave the waiting room families a Applebee's style electronic coaster that buzzed and chirped to alert you that your loved one was ready to be brought in. These things went off about every 10 minutes and were so damn obnoxious, I accidentally tuned mine out and didn't realize it was buzzing. This gripe is a really small one though, and we still loved our experience there.

My grandson was bullied, threatened, and assaulted. The communication is limited between parents and professionals, parents and children and apparently children and the professionals. My grandson told me for days that besides for medication he didn't feel the staff was doing anything to help him work through any issues he was having. I was then lied to by the nurse who spoke with me about the assault. First off she was referring to it as an "incident ", which it was not. Then she insisted a nurse had tried to get in touch with me at the time of the assault, (2:15) which was not true. At the time of the assault there was staff members present but nothing was done. My grandson complained of ear pain and was told a nurse would come to check him out but no one did until later after I made my complaint. I removed my grandson from their care for fear of further assaults. Later that evening I found a message had been left about the "incident " but it wasn't until I had made my complaint (7:58) about the assault.

We were checked in, seen by the Doctor, -x-rays and out the door within an hour. Excellent. The second time was earlier tonight. My 5 year old fell and landed face first against the wall. We thought his nose was broken so my wife took him here. Again, same fast and professional service and they are great with the little ones when treating them. And no, my little guy's nose isn't broken but it sure looks like it is. This is an urgent care/ambulatory kind of place. If it something too serious for them, they would send you to a local full service hospital by ambulance if you so choose. Great alternative should you need emergency care that does not require a full service hospital. I will not go to any other urgent care place except for this one based on my two experiences. It's nice knowing you can go here minus the hours upon hours of waiting.
