I.have gone to both primary care and ortho. Able to get urgent appt within days of calling, regular appts might be 2-3 months down the calendar. Only weird experience was being seen for an acutely swollen and painful swollen thumb on my dominate hand. I was sent to xray dept before I was seen by MD and treatment was discussed in hallway at the desk! Saves cleaning a room but there was nothing private about the visit.

The doctor was personable and skilled. The facility had a convenient parking garage and the rooms were small but functional. Our friend had nothing but praise for their life altering visit.

When you first get to the ED you have at least a 2 to 3 hour wait before you get taken back (my mother mostly goes back right away because like I said really sick). After they accept you back to the ED you sit there for another 4 to 10 hours or longer until there is a room available. Once you get a room is when you really start to see this place in action. My mother once spilled her water when she was trying to take her pills for breakfast. I didn't arrive until after lunch was served. I noticed her sheets were wet and started asking questions. Her roommate told me she did that at breakfast and when asked to have it cleaned up the nurse said I'll have to get house keeping that's not my job. Appearantly, left and didn't say anything since it was still wet when I got there. Another time she dropped her pills on the floor and when I mentioned it to the nurse practitioner she argued with me that they were not even given her the drug I said that it was. Fortunately I keep the pill I picked up off the floor. When I showed it to her she acted shocked and said well ill have to see who is letting this happen. Left the room and didn't see anyone for the rest of they day. I know staff is short (my wife and myself work in Healthcare), all I ask is to do your job. I can go on with stories like these from this place. Unfortunately, nothing can br done since mercy health bought up almost all the medical facilities around this area. My recommendation would be if it's non-emergency and you can make it to Cleveland you will be better off.

Acting like she couldn't hear. I went here 9 times exactly before they finally discovered I had pancreatitis... and then another 5 times. Before discovering my gallbladder had a tear in it. Went into surgery, my arms became swollen and th r y told me my arms were like that when I came in.. the hospital bands were cutting into my skin, yeah I don't think so! After surgery, I got pancreatitis again, They tried to put me into the cat scan, and told me the metal clips would probably heat up, I refused to go in the machine, the tech then referred me as a little bitch to his co worker. Recently I went to the hospital for the Same pains, did the cat scan, I had an allergic reaction, as my bod u filled with horrible itchy lumps, I sat for 15 minutes begging for something, finally a nurse heard me crying to my husband on the phone, she gave me a steroid and an allergic medicine. The itchy lumps went away and a nurse came in and ave me a morphine drip that wasn't for me, but the woman in the next room, I was livid!!

The Select Specialty Hospital allegedly never received any discharged orders from the CCF and gave my sister solid food rather than use the feed tube and also never called CCF to find out how to take care of her. This was going on for 4 - 5 days and they were giving her solid food, narcotic pain meds with a diuretic that caused my sister to OD 2X. The staff doesn't listen. This facility should be shut down. Don't take your loved ones there. They will kill them.

I have been at this campus several times for pancreatitis. Each and every time I have received…read morequality care. If you don't know what pancreatitis is, it's a very painful thing. The care and compassion the nurses gave me was amazing. The nurses on the 5th floor are so caring, patient and understanding to their patients. My last visit I was assigned to the 7th floor. Wow! The nurses on this floor is a breath of fresh air. I am also a nurse so, I can relate how busy a nurse truly is. There is a very special dietary person Judy. Judy is very nice person. She took the time with me so my food order was perfect. The nurses on the 7th, Jamie, Fatima, and Roberta are AMAZING. They all took time to ask if I ok on a day I was down. They made sure I was pain free and kept me comfortable. I will now and forever come to this hospital for my personal care. My family will do the same!!!!
