So sad that the only hospital and ER for that area is more dangerous than safe. UH you may as well close the ER dept there, you've closed and cut back everywhere else. He still had bruises and cuts as he relayed his story. He was the one who was injured and the hospital was friendly toward him, until they found out that it was domestic violence, he was the actual the victim and they didn't asked the full story and assumed he was at fault, they were rude and even hurt him on purpose. The place has gone down hill since Cleveland took over. I know some of the staff and this is not about the departments, because I know they're good people, but the way they treat the elderly is inhumane. They give them a substandard of care and pretty much experiment on people they believe are dying without informing their family what is going on. My friend's mom passed away in an horrific way because she believed that a Cleveland Clinic would be the best place for her, if she had gone to the smaller hospital she might have been transferred to another place, because they're understaffed, but she would have at least gotten compassionate care.

Of course it takes two weeks to get in to the orthopedic Dr. Now, 5 days of pain later-lack of sleep, we decided to go to the quick care at Crystal Clinic. Forced to pay for a second set of X-rays because it's a whole process to at sometime get them. They wouldn't send them over and we couldn't pick them up. Now at Crystal Clinic, he will get an injection and hopefully this won't go into a frozen shoulder which would be bad. Then further followup, and therapy. My recommendation is to not go to Summa emergency with an orthopedic problem.

Both a RN & PA evaluated my elbow, cleaned it up & the PA used surgical glue to close the wound. Everyone was friendly, helpful & professional. I walked out the door approximately 36 minutes later! Apparently my father had a heart…read morewas pretty much malfunctioning on every possible way a heart could malfunction not only did he save his like the extended his life. 15 years later, I became a heart patient of the Cleveland clinic I can now say first hand being a patient of this hospital in the cardiac department is by far the most efficient and thorough care that I have had of any hospital for any department When your heart's not working right you feel so tired and you stressed. the Cleveland clinic realizes this and they try and make every step of the registration and the testing as easy as it can be for you. I can't explain it other than you feel seen and heard and important by each, and every staff member you run across. For an organization that treats high profile celebrities to royalty to the average person. They seriously treat each person as if they are the most important person ever. Add that the doctors here are the best of the best. It really is an extraordinary experience. My cardiologist not only treats myself, but she now treats my son as they've inherited the same weird congenial heart defects. It is really nice to know that the person who is handling one of your most important organs in your body is an expert at what they do. If you come here for care you will not be disappointed.

I was able to stay with him until he was transferred downtown to a bed. Remember: Pandemic Era visitation is a bit like post 9-11 airport protocol. Those things we took for granted are no longer possible. Be kind and understanding while advocating for yourself and your loved ones. You will likely be able to stay in the ER, at Green, and you will need to be on a list to gain access to the hospital room, if the patient is transferred to a room. David has had three strokes and two heart attacks and quad bypass surgery. When I bring him in for care I look for the team to focus on him and not dismiss his complaints. Green is full of great listeners, yes-- also full of personnel who communicate well with one another re: patient needs.
