This is beautiful church temple. The architecture is unique yet beautiful. A combination of modern and Roman architecture. The landscaping outside of the church is inviting and unique to take pictures for the family church events. I attended a wedding on a beautiful Friday. Easy to find and plenty of parking. After an attending a disappointing service at a neighboring church, St. Denis provided a beautiful online service rooted in God's Word. This church proudly includes young children as they read homilies and joined the priest at the sanctuary to learn how to pray to God. It was a beautiful reminder that God's love is available to all, especially after we have made mistakes. After the service concluded, the priest acknowledged the diversity of the congregation and invited the church to attend in celebrations looking to unite God's children through food and fellowship. I appreciate the structure of the Catholic Church and have experienced the spirit of God's grace in the traditions and consistency in the Biblical texts featured during mass at St. Denis. I will take the opportunity to remember the power of God's love throughout my week. Thank you for providing the community with faith based teachings and for fostering a heart of compassion. Last Sunday, November 9, during the 9:00AM Mass, I saw the Parish Priest, gave a parishioner an extra Consecrated Host during the Communion aside from the one the parishioner received in his mouth. This should be stopped as the man could sell the extra Host to Satanists who would gladly pay for it and then desecrate it during their satanic rituals. If somebody saved a video of the Mass, they could verify what I have witnessed. I am making it known so that when Fr. John hears of this, he might want to stop this from happening again. Moreover, strict measures should be in place to ensure that Lay Ministers are likewise forbidden from taking a Host home with them. May The Holy Spirit be with you all! read more

I got married here in June 2024 and my review will mostly focus on that--although, I will say the church community is lovely here. Great Music! Patrick Zubiate is wonderful (he played and sang in our wedding). The pastor, Fr. Denis is so friendly and warm. The grounds are beautiful. The photographs of the church looked amazing inside and outside, so if you are wanting a more traditional feel for the parish you marry in--I recommend this one! They also have an organ which sounds amazing. I would recommend this parish as well as during Covid, I really appreciated that they continued with mass (outside). On May 29, 2024, Saint Jude's Relic visited Saint Denis Church. The event was poorly planned with little disregard for the welfare of parishioners. Organizers at Saint Denis made it very difficult for parishioners to attend. Did not allow parking at the church, reseved all second level parking for staff and offered no reasonable local shuttle provided by the City of Diamond Bar. Did organizers really think Diamond Bar residence were okay with driving to Saint Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Chino Hills and take a shuttle back to Saint Denis? Why not hold the event at St Paul's? Such a sacred event to venerate Saint Jude's relic and Saint Denis failed the parishioners! I am very disappointed. read more

My children were baptized here. My husband and I were fully received into the church on Easter Vigil this year. The community is overwhelmingly kind and compassionate. My husband and I were part of OCIA and we felt the community encouraged our faith journey by praying over us every Sunday. The ushers are very kind and welcoming. read more

This church is beautiful. I started coming to confession here during COVID. Their chapel, courtyard confession, and Holy Hour schedule is one of the most convenient out of Catholic Churches in the area. I know I shouldn't play favorites with priests, but Fr. Denis is one of the main reasons I keep coming back for confession. He is incredibly welcoming and a true vessel of God's love. If you're looking for confession with counsel - try this church. Church is really beautiful and I love Father Dennis's homilies but the only problem I have is with how long Father John talks. I went to mass today and all he did for the homily was talk about it for less than 5 minutes and started talking about church donations, which i understand is important but spending only 5 minutes on the homily and 15 minutes yapping about church donations is wild. To make matters worse, whenever he does announcements he reads the WHOLE thing, not just a couple of important ones, EVERY SINGLE ANNOUNCEMENT, which adds another 15 minutes for those who want the priest to dismiss them. I love attending this church but I don't know how many more unrelated yap sessions I can take when I come here trying to develop my faith. read more

I was blessed with the opportunity to attend a Saturday Mass with my girlfriend and her family over the weekend, and I have to say... I was impressed. The architecture at St. Denis is beautiful; Kathy has said that it looks like a mission, and I'm inclined to agree. The church's setup is ampitheatre-like, and I was surprised that the choir section was above the crowd. I loved the artwork portraying the Stations of the Cross, as well as the stained glass windows throughout. Of course, parking is a pain... I guess no matter which church you go to, whether it's San Diego, Los Angeles, or Diamond Bar, parking will ALWAYS be a problem during Mass. But, in terms of Mass lengths, I didn't think it was that bad - compared to my home parish in San Diego, the clergy keep the Mass time close to the hour. read more

Came here for a wedding the place is incredible, the orient was funny not anything like I would expect. The two things I thought was poor is parking, and our wedding was 12:00 and when we came out there was people out there waiting another wedding at 1:00 omg now I know why there was a box of flowers out side the door. Unfortunately I had to plan a funeral here recently, June 2022. Staff here was excellent so was everyone at the parish.

We come here for mass when we can't attend our own parish mass for scheduling reasons. Love that they have 2 rooms for the kids; and we typically sit in there because we go to the 5:30pm mass, and that's when my lil one seems to be the MOST rowdy...so thank goodness for that room. The speakers in there could use a little work, but it all works out okay. The 5:30pm choir is pretty good also, but the speaker system in the children's room really does them an injustice, he he he. The parishioners are quite friendly and always make us feel welcome. Parking can be a bit of a pain, because it's above the area of the church if you don't get the prime spots. You'll have to walk down a pretty decent set of stairs, which means you'll be going back up them after mass. So that's the only thing to really note. Other than that, the church is beautiful and a good community makes you want to come back. read more

While our wedding at St. Denis was beautiful, it was sometimes challenging to coordinate with the parish staff as a whole. If you ever expect to hold a wedding here, then be sufficiently prepared to (1) get your premarital training fully certified with the administrator, (2) plan your rehearsal and ceremony with the coordinator, (3) choose and define the music with the director, and (4) submit your payments and schedules to the secretaries. If you're well enough prepared in each of these respects, then you will not be disappointed. In other words, finalize each of these things well in advance of your wedding day because the St. Denis staff may not be far enough ahead of you in doing so; it's possible that they may not be adequately coordinating with each other over time. Plan ahead, work hard, and foster lots of patience. God bless! read more

St. Denis is a beautiful church. My husband and I were married at St. Denis back in 2019, but I have to say communication is what this parish lacks. I was trying to contact our wedding coordinator for months, but I would never hear back until it was time to collect $$. Fast fwd to today we decided we wanted to baptize our son at St. Denis to continue the tradition at St. Denis. I was working with Jocelyn who let me know I had to do all the necessary steps, even setting a baptism date, before speaking with Father John. We set the baptism for 3/20/21 and my meeting with Fr John was on 3/8 at which point he told me our selected god parents could not be god parents since they did not have all their sacraments. I understand that it's Canon Law, but I am also aware that other parishes do not require the sacrament of Confirmation to become a god parent, but thats besides the point. The part that upset me was that this meeting should have taken place at the beginning and we would have decided on another church, and not find out 2 weeks before our scheduled date. Details had already been done (people had been notified, recuerdos, our sons outfit, etc) and we had to rush to find another church. The church is beautiful, but this is the second time they have let me down. read more

This is a very nice and HUGE church. My husband and I were married here in 2008. I have made all my sacraments here. Our son was baptized here. It is a great place for pictures... If your looking for a "Holy" place for photos. The staff is very nice. Father Dennis is very down to earth, Monsignor. is um old and boring. Father Sebastian is really hard to understand. and Deacon Tom is a sweet man. Masses are all the same... Long and Catholic. Parking blows. and no one really knows how to drive... Any sacraments you do make here be ready to pay... They are not cheap... guess it costs to look as good as this church does. PS... I will probably be going to hell for this review. read more

I have been a parishioner of St. Denis for almost 18 years. I got confirmed here. I love when Easter rolls around, because when you walk into church the decorations overwhelm you and for me, I always feel the spirit of the season. Over the years, the priests have come and gone, but we always get the good ones. The ones that teach you, just not preach to you. It's also a beautiful church. I recommend it for weddings. I grew up attending mass here with my family. I was baptized, received my first communion and I was confirmed here as well. If you are looking forward to registering your kid(s) for Religious Education or Confirmation, I highly suggest getting all paperwork (esp. a copy of your child's sacramental certificates) and payments done before the first day of class. If you are attending mass... IT IS A MUST TO ATTEND ON-TIME. Of course, it's the Holy Sabbath. It's like you can't show up to a corporate meeting 30 minutes late. Plus, parking is limited. Showing up on-time you'll be rewarded a blessing (from God, of course) and a good parking spot. Okay, let's get serious now. I LOVE St. Denis and the beautiful people that builds this beautiful parish. The priests are awesome and very welcoming. I had the honor of getting to know them when I used to work at the front desk of the Pastoral Office. Whenever you get the chance, stop by the office and say hi to the lovely staff. This church, this community holds so many memories of my childhood to my adolescence. It's a blessing to attend mass here whenever I'm in town visiting my folks. Both my brothers received their sacraments (baptism, first communion, confirmation and marriage) here at St. Denis. Hopefully when the time is right, I can continue our legacy of sacraments by getting married here. Remember, enter the church with reverence. Silence or turn off your phone. I've been to several weddings at this Church. I had also gone to Masses here as a pre-teen every time I spent the night at my aunts house to hang out with my cousins. It's a nice church with beautiful interior and a beautiful courtyard with lovely fountain. The one thing I am definitely not fond of is the parking. You gotta get there early or you're parking in the street and walking up and down hill just to get to and from the car. The traffic to get out of the Church is just as bad afterwards.. One word: GORGEOUS! This church is absolutely gorgeous! From the exterior to the interior, I'm a real fan. I was introduced here by my bf whose family attends this church. I come here to attend mass every other week and it just amazes me everytime. We've sat in the ground floor and the second floor, both locations are very good but I have a soft spot for the balcony seating. As masses go, it's pretty standard. Their cantor is very talented and sings exceptionally well. Communion time is very organized, no complaints there. Parking's a little chaotic but that's to be expected. Just keep your eyes peeled. I don't think it's that bad, even when you come a little late. There's plenty of parking up the street and into the back parking lot of the church. read more

A beautiful church with an intimate feeling. The design of the church is such that you can fit a lot of people in there (since it is a semi circle) but since the rows of pews are not very long, you don't feel disconnected with the priest during Mass. It is decorated beautifully during the holidays and can pack a full house. The parking is okay, but they do the best with the space they have. You may have to resort to street parking and huff it, but it helps to get there early. They have a baby room so parents can take their children who aren't quite ready for the main church area. The only bad thing is, some parents think that since you've removed your child from the main church area, then that is enough. But they hang out in the hallways with their loud children, and the cries echo such that everyone can hear them. (this isn't the church's fault, so i will not remove a star. It's the parents who don't realize the hallways serve as a speaker) Other than that, it's a beautiful church. I was so tired of going to St Paul in Chino Hills and always asking for more and more money. I like St. Denis because it is a humble church. I am currently planning to have our wedding here and will post another review after the process is done. read more

This church is extremely beautiful! It reminds me of a mini Stanford. Beyond the aesthetic appeal it's also a very spiritual place where you can pray and really gather your thoughts. Definitely worth a visit no matter how devote you are. read more

Beautiful church with cool priests. I definitely like this church more than St. Lorenzo in Walnut! Unlike St. Lorenzo, the parishioners here seem more down to earth and not fake or pretentious. Also, St. Denis does have a pretty good choir and cantors. I feel more at peace and at home at this parish. Though it is further away, I am willing to make the trek to attend mass here. read more

The kicked them out right after the ceremony. Seems like she has a power complex... If you are looking to get married this is such a beautiful church to use. Nice look inside. Great for weddings due to the circular look to it with a balcony that is perfect for high angle photo shots. The church as two parking lots; a small one adjacent to the church and another big one higher up the hill. Please be careful when walking down/up on the stairs outside connecting it to the church, because you may slip. The two things that could be worked on. The website needs to be worked on. Nothing graphical, just having the schedules typed on the page would be great versus having to download the PDF. The another one is really the church-goers' fault. I was there for Ash Wednesday, and people were less patient and more demanding when there was traffic. One of them yelled, "come on, we all just left mass!" I think people are ignoring each other and just focused on leaving. The upper parking lot is supposed to be one way, yet people created grid-lock by going the other way to try to get out easier, which isn't and caused more grid-lock. Major holidays, it's a great scenic place to pray and to enjoy our faith, but it's a pain to deal with people who just receive the word in one ear and out the other. read more
