Several years ago, I took an off-brand telephoto lens to the shop, to see if they either had a part for it, or if they could order a part. The two men who worked at that shop spent a lot of time helping me, and after about an hour of searching through their catalogs, they settled on a part that I would need for the lens. They said it would be two weeks before the part would get in.
After two weeks, I received no call. I called the store, and they had no idea who I was, and had no recollection of helping me with my lens. Two weeks later, I retrieved a message off our answering machine. They were calling to ask me what kind of lens it was. There was no mention of our previous conversation, no admission on their part, in their message, that they had dropped the ball.
How clueless, uncaring, and idiotic can a business be?!! It's the only camera shop in the St. Cloud area, but I will NEVER go there again. Horrible customer service, and after doing some more research on my own, the part I needed should have been readily recognized by both of them. All lens have them. read more
