The lady at the front desk is extremely rude! She is absolutely miserable working there apparently.

We've gone to this office for over 30 years and will be leaving this practice. Dr. Greene is extremely rude and unprofessional. Dr. Brown is very nice but we don't feel we can take the chance we might need emergency care for our dog and he's not there and Dr. Greene is the vet in the office. read more

Dr. Brown is the best, compassionate, and thorough. He has the time to tell you about the problems with your pet. I've had my dog to, two of the other local vets and they couldn't figure out the problem she had, and one was her regular vet that had been doctoring with for 13 years. Dr. Brown found it , fixed it and Shazam, all better. read more

I get decent care here but it's not worth putting up with the rudeness of the staff... I'll be looking for another veterinarian.

I have had pets my entire life. This place does not care about your pet. I am just thankful to have went there for a checkup for my dog and not a bad day. Go to a vet that cares. If you do go here, make sure the medication they give your pet is not expired like ours was. Also, make sure they actually do the examination they are charging you for. I have a shih tzu. The doctor never even checked her ears even though I had told her that I suspected she had an ear infection... Oh, and we paid for an examination! She had to come back in to check them. Sure enough, infected. People, they literally charged me for a prescription. 20 bucks to write a prescription even though my dog is a patient! Go anywhere else. 0 stars. read more

If you're looking for a veterinarian who projects a corporate mentality with the emphasis on profits, this may be the place for you. If you'd rather have a veterinarian at least act like your pet matters, look elsewhere. The vet techs are great but the veterinarians could not care less about your pets. YMMV, but this office has changed drastically in the last few years. read more

I just had my baby jack (rat terrier) in for a basic teeth cleaning recommend by them on his last check up. Upon arrival a lady took us to the exam room and immediately started talking about pulling his teeth and the extra cost. She then started talking about the extra fees for blood work to determine if he could tolerate the procedure and sedation. She then told me about the extra fees for a IV And catheter. I was completely taken off guard. I was now scared for the care jack was going to get. They treated me like I was a idiot and were very rude. I then waited outside to talk to the Doctor. (What a joke) SHe talked to me like I was a idiot. She stated they do this practice everyday and my dog SHOULD be fine. She had no people skills and did not make me feel comfortable leaving my precious dog with them. I will never bring jack back here again and would not recommend them to anyone. read more

Your vet hosptial is a JOKE and I MEAN A JOKE...last week i brought my lil Hummy dog in to u cause he was VERY VERY ill and you nore your so called staff done NOTHING i MEAN NOTHING AT ALL...i mean you couldnt even tell me what was wrong with him,,first u said it could be Parvo,then u said it could be he been Poisoned but wasnt sure..ther only dam thing u did was weighted him and took his temp,,that was it...u did NO more then i done at home for him...you was RUDE VERY UN PROFESSIONAL did show any concern wat so ever u gave me some pills that where a donation to ur vet hospital..NEVER EVER will i say a kind word bouty your so called place of buisness..i mean look at the reveiews people have said about u all,, not nice at all...u need to be more educated bout the animals u really should,,and another thing u should send me my money bak in the mail,u have my address,,that would be the rite thing to do,,my lil Hummy dog died 3hrs after i gave him the pill u set with me u suck and your place of buisness as well read more

If you are looking for a place that really puts your pets health first then turn the other way and run. I recently let them do surgery on my pittbull Harley. I paid 900 dollars down and had made a payment arrangement to pay the rest 30 days later. I took her back to get her stitches out they said they took them out i got her home and a couple days later was playing with her on the floor and noticed she still had half of her stitches! I didnt throw a fit i just took her back had them remove them for real this time. Then a week later i called to get her flea medicine, They said i had to pay the balance of the surgery first. Even though i made a payment arrangement with them and was not yet delinquent they treated me like one! I couldn't pay for the payment yet so i didnt get her flea medicine and waited till i could pay the surgery bill. I got the money to pay it today and they told me that i owed for the flea medicines i had picked up! The ones they told me I couldn't have and didnt get! Thats when i told them i was paying the surgery bill and taking her to another vet. They didnt care about Harley they were more concerned about the extra 231.68 that wasnt even due yet. I just hope that you heed this and other warnings that have been posted on this page and take your fur baby to a vet that cares more about the patients. The vet assistants however are really nice people I dont have anything negative to say about them. read more

They misdiagnosed my dog for several YEARS!!!!! They treated her for seizures and Cushings and she does NOT have either one!!!! I spent THOUSANDS of dollars there!! They put my dog, myself, my neighbors who had to help give shots for seizures thru hell AND SHE WAS ONLY HAVING BAD REACTIONS TO THE MEDS THEY HAD HER ON!! They stole years of my dogs life because they were too damn lazy to research why. They even read her bloodwork wrong. Every time we went it was a big charge. And after I took her off all the meds they had her on shes like a new dog!!! I have since picked up her records from there and am seeing a new Vet. Bloodwork was done again and she does NOT have the Cushings or the seizures they were treating her for!!! They NEVER even cared enough to call and check on her. I informed her Vet there about their mistakes and I NEVER EVEN GOT AN APOLOGY!!! I only give them 1 star because I had to do that to leave this review. I'm very angry and upset with them because they DONT EVEN CARE. read more

I am writing my review of St. Clair in Scottsburg Indiana here, because my google review somehow disappeared, so I rewrote it there and I'm also leaving it here. This is not a breeder friendly vet! If you have a problem, this vet will make you feel like a horrible person. At the time, I was a new breeder beginning a cattery. I had a few cats that I had bought for my breeding program. No different from what any cat owner has ever experienced, I had a flea outbreak. I had one cat that was made sick from the fleas despite my efforts to control them. I did what I thought was the right thing and I went to St. Clair to get flea meds and have my my sick cat treated. I paid to have my cat seen, and I bought MORE flea meds ( I had been in not long before a few times buying flea meds trying to fix the issue). I was very upset that my cat was ill, and I was also upset that I was buying so many flea products and spending a fortune on them and they weren't working at all. The woman working at that time, actually told me that I shouldn't get anymore cats and I should give up my idea of being a breeder. Talk about crossing the line! As if it wasn't devastating enough to be battling fleas and having an ill cat, she had to add her insulting opinion, which I felt was completely unprofessional of her. Well, I decided then to find a new vet asap, and I found helpful advice for my flea problem, not from St. Clair, but from other breeders. Turns out the answer was very simple, I had been washing off the flea meds I was buying. I didn't realize that you couldn't bathe the cats for a few days before, or after, application (despite what the label says) because it washes right off. Once I realized this, I stopped bathing my cats, other than the 3rd week of flea med application. And my issue went away quickly. It's been a few years and we've never had a flea outbreak again. The vet I switched to is a lot more kind toward me as a breeder, and has never insulted me. Over time I learned how to do many things and I have become very knowledgeable and rarely have any problems. Today my small cattery is very successful, all my cats are disease tested and healthy, I produce top show quality babies, and I take my money elsewhere to a more professional vet. No vet should ever make someone who is seeking help, feel terrible. read more
