I cannot believe the terrible experience I am having with this shady company. My second month's…read morepayment was due November 1. Unsure of how the process works, I called the contact number around October 26 and asked how I can pay with cash or money order. Tim was very polite and gave me an address, a PO box in St. Louis, which I double and triple confirmed with him for accuracy. I had the money order in the mail the same day. On November 4, I received an email from Union Storage notifying me that my card payment had been declined. Card payment? I had never authorized recurring card debits, and I double checked to be sure it wasn't in the lease. The account I'd used to pay the previous month had been closed, hence the money order arrangement. I called Tim to remind him that I had discussed with him sending a money order, and had mailed it to the PO box he provided to me. He admitted he had not checked the PO box before attempting to charge my card, and told me he would be in touch if it had not been delivered. A week and a half later, I'd assumed the money order had been received when i received a text message from Tim. He told me, again, that the card had been declined and to provide another source of payment. I reminded him that I had already mailed the money order and I had a receipt, and asked whether he had actually checked the PO box. He responded by asking when I had dropped it off. After correcting him again, stating that I had mailed it to the address he had given me several weeks prior, he told me I was to make another payment as he hadn't received the first one. Throughout the entire ordeal, he never confirmed with me that he had indeed checked his PO box. I feel like he probably hasn't. After telling him that, no, I am not giving him the second payment when I have proof that I have already sent payment for the month of November, he told me he would be locking the unit, placing a lien, and contacting his attorney. I understand his frustration over having allegedly not received the payment I've sent, but I do believe he has received it and it either being dishonest or has simply made a mistake. It has not been handled well and I will forever warn against Union Storage.

I did everything online with these guys, which was very convenient. My storage unit is in a great location, easy access. I feel my stuff is secured, they have cameras all over, its fenced in, and they gave me great customer service. They actually have the best prices in town too!
