duplicitous staff and BEDBUGS. I booked five nights. When I arrived in my 3rd night after dinner, at close to 11 PM, I was informed that I needed to vacate because a case of BEDBUGS had been reported in my room. Because of the risk of guests infecting other rooms, they could not get us another room in the hostel, telling us to book elsewhere. When I suggested that it seemed pretty unethical to send possibly BEDBUG infected people to other hostels because they were worried that they might contaminate other rooms in their establishment, both the person on duty and the night manager told me that they agreed with me, but that they were following protocol. They also did not make this BEDBUG issues aware to other guests outside the room, and put a note on the door that the room was having electrical issues instead. I was also assured that my entire stay would be refunded; they only refunded the nights that I had not stayed-which obviously. Nothing for the inconvenience or the potential risk they put us in or the moral dilemma of carrying BEDBUGS to other hostels. read more
