There's no way to open the windows fully. The elevator was broken, the rooms and the floor stank of chloride and urine. And the water tasted the same. Never again in my life.

The hostel is quite close to the next station, the people I met in my room were very nice and it is easy enough to get into the city centre.

It was extremely cramped and had no ventilation. In the morning it was smelly and steamy from so many bodies. Since there was so little space there were people's belongings everywhere and the room was so crowded. I have only a few hostel experiences so I'm no expert, but my next hostel was an 18 person mixed room and it was so comfortable and spacious in comparison. They have cool nightly events like karaoke as well as a bar with cheap food downstairs which is great. It is a very young crowd- 18-25 I'd guess and at 34 I felt quite old and out of place though I met and hung out with some cool young folks. The shower situation is also not great. The showers are hot but have a button that needs to be pressed every 30 seconds or so to keep the shower going. Since I have long curly hair and my showers need a little more time for detangling I basically just rinsed and couldn't wash my hair. Overall this place is safe and super cheap. Its conventiely located to Kings Cross and the area is nice. If you are looking for something for a night or two go for it, it's not terrible, but again I was very relieved to have more space and shower at my next hostel.

It was about £19 a night in the four bed female dorm. There's great storage under the bed, lockers with a safe and plugs at every bed. The en suite bathroom was a plus, as I had to get up early. The shower was a pain in the ass to work. The staff was amazing. As a previous hostel worker, I know they can make or break a place. Everyone was super friendly and they hung out in the TV lounge with everyone else. It's a nice little crew and very welcoming. The kitchen is stocked and open most of the day. Breakfast was toast, coffee and tea. But it's free. And there are plenty of places nearby to get something. Sainsbury's is on the corner, fast food sushi, pret, a pub and more. It's right on the Piccadilly line which now runs all night in weekends, very convenient!

The beds had built-in power outlets, however they didn't really work well. We ended up using the wall outlets to charge our electronics. We were also right next to the showers but one of them was out of order. The toilets were at the end of the hall but one of them was out of order as well, so I ended up needing to wait for one to become available a couple times. It wasn't too noisy considering we were facing a busy street and some people complain about the bells coming from St. Paul's being distracting as they ring essentially every 15 minutes, but I got used to it pretty quickly and was able to sleep just fine. Wifi is only available in the shared spaces and not the rooms, so that might be difficult for people who rely on wifi connection. We didn't take advantage of their breakfast offerings, though they seem to have a nice variety of hot and cold food to choose from. They even seemed to have a couple vegan items that I could have eaten, but I wasn't going to pay nearly £10 just to only eat like two items. Check in and check out were easy.

Booked a couple nights here on our way out of town because of it's close proximity to the Piccadilly tube line, and general closeness to everything central. It appears, although I'm not sure, that all these houses were bought up by one developer at some point and turned into hotels. Not sure what the ownership situation is, but I'm sure that this strip of hotels, despite having all different names, are probably identical inside. Very cookie cutter. For some reason, the rooms were really reasonably priced over the bank holiday weekend. The price was double on Saturday what it was Sunday and Monday, so be wary when booking that the prices are really really fluid. The front desk service was really helpful and friendly. The room itself was standard - a good size. Not huge, but not small. The bathroom was clean and modern with a giant enclosed tub (not one of the open ones that gets the floor all wet.) The bed was comfortable and the TV had ample channels. A good hotel overall. Oh, and lovely views of the garden out back from the window. Green and lush and well tended. Oh and the maid service was some of the best I've seen. Carefully tended to our belongings we'd left out, but very respectfully - and fully stocked us up with everything we needed. (Perhaps I was easily impressed because the last hotel I stayed in was in Buenos Aires where they can't even be bothered to replace the toilet roll!) The reason I can't give it a 4 star rating is for an odd reason - the temperature. There was no air conditioning in the room, and no overhead fan. Only a small, electrical circular fan hiding in the closet, which we pulled out immediately and never turned off. It was one of the stuffiest rooms I've ever been in - it was late May while I was there, and I was miserably hot in the daytime (it was ok at night.) I could not imagine how uncomfortable that room would have been in August, however. Only one window - no window in the bathroom either. So yeah. Very hot and stuffy. And the low ceilings didn't help either. So I would go back to stay again, but never in summer!!!

I stayed here for 4 nights over summer in a four bed dorm, for what I paid to be in a smaller dorm I was disappointed... From what I have heard from others at the hostel that have stayed in the bigger dorms it seems they have better facilities for half the price.... The dorm I was allocated was on the top floor which with a suitcase was a pain getting up the last narrow spiral staircase but manageable, my room has one power point for the 4 of us to share and the staff were reluctant to give us a power board to use in the room, however they eventually did... There is a sink and mirror in the room however no power point near the mirror, also in the upstairs bathroom area there is also no power points so if you wanted to use a power point that's near a mirror you have to go to one of the bathrooms on the other floors which all have easy to access power points. If you plan on sleeping in then I would recommend bringing an eye mask or your own curtains because the ones in the room keep out hardly any light, the rooms are also warm at night even with the window open and with one power point we couldn't exactly have the fan on over night and charge our devices for the following day.. Not as much of a social hostel as I thought it was going to be, unless you go out of your way to chat to people in your dorm or in the kitchen/lounge you aren't really going to meet anyone there is no activities run through the hostel except for a free walking tour. I personally wouldn't keep any food in the kitchen as there are mice and if you put food in the fried anywhere near the back it freezes. Not everything was bad like I said the location is amazing walking distance to pretty much everything, beds are clean and pretty comfy (although apparently they are better in the bigger dorms), bathrooms are clean, free wifi throughout the hostel and in the dorms, staff were very friendly, people that stayed in my room were all lovely. I would tell people to come back to this hostel if they needed somewhere cheap to stay in a great location however I would recommend paying less and staying in a bigger dorm with nicer beds and bathrooms rather then paying double the price to be allocated less.

The rooms are tiny - I couldn't possibly recommend my room for two people, as two suitcases would not fit in this room. No table, there was a drop-down desk from the wall at the end of the bed - but you had to sit on the bed to use it. That said, the wifi was solid, good speed and reliable, the staff was friendly, and the price was really good for a nice location. Can't complain too much about this place, but know the caveats.

It gave a pleasant feel. This is also the area you check-in at. The front-desk staff were very friendly and walked us through how to use our key cards and where things were located. The room looked like a dorm room, as expected, with bunk beds and lockers. We also had a private bathroom and shower, which I was pleasantly surprised about. We couldn't get the A/C to work, so we had to keep the windows cracked at all times. It would've been nice to be able to open the window completely for more airflow as it got stuffy/warm often. The beds are a place to sleep... don't expect much comfort. Loved the basement common areas! So much space and unique places to sit. It is also a bar at night with karaoke and lots of people mingling. Overall, it was a clean and fun hostel experience.

I don't thinks that's fair. Room service is not prompt. And the restrooms and the rooms stink. Absolutely no ventilation in the restrooms. The only solace is the bar in the basement which has some nice vibe but watered down drinks. The Wombats at Budapest was 10 times better and that's the reason I chose to stay here, but I'm disappointed.
