Tells stories of Looe's Fishing history, ship building etc The Old Guildhall is Looe's oldest building!!! Dating around 1500. It is a Tudor building once magistrates court and cells. Right outside you can see a huge Cannon which I believe was from the Spanish Armada. The Cannon used to be infront of a Cafe on the seafront but in recent years has been moved to the Old Guildhall, which serves as a nifty resting place on a drunken Saturday night when you want to rest your feet before heading to Looe's one and only 'nightclub' (see picture) :D

The seating is well angled and comfy and the projector and screen quality are high (digital I would guess, not sure if 4K though). Sound system also seemed good and I did not hear any noise coming from other screens. My main criticism is that the management clearly have no clue about anything digital. The website is poor, the online booking system and ticket collection system are terrible. They are not listed on Google cinema. But ignoring all that, there's a good chance you will enjoy the movie. Oh, and they serve Ben & Jerrys icecream.

I must admit though, as we get older, there are parts that are strenuous to explore. Thank goodness we did the deeper parts earlier in our lives. One difference this time, which we didn't know about until we had parked up, is pre-booking. We had to book in on my iPhone and wait until a slot was available. No problem. Also, more food and drink outlets throughout the gardens.

Too difficult and costly? You know they did this before WWII... with less resources and technology than you have at your disposal, right? Really, just watch the TV show on the gardens because now instead of trying to restore it to its past glory, the management grow flowers to sell. If they took all the flowers in their gift shop and planted them in their gardens then maybe they'd be a step closer to restoring anything. But they've had this land for many many years now and they only do the bare minimum to get ppl there. Great history and potential but the management needs to step up! If you're a gardener, you'll be sorely disappointed.
