St Bride's is a great venue for intimate music gigs, ceilidhs and for theatrical events - there are raked seats in the main hall enabling an audience of several hundred people to enjoy the show. A converted church, the main hall was the sanctuary and as such does have some pillars obscuring the views from certain angles, however the middle section is large enough for a decent ceilidh and the aisles can be used for tables. At the other end of the centre is a bar/cafe which can be used as a breakout area or for smaller events. During the Fringe Festival St Bride's has a popular series of folk music concerts throughout August.
I have only been to St Bride's for evening events, however during the day the centre is used as a community centre with many different groups meeting and using the facilities. Altogether a great venue to consider for your next event! read more
