This daycare has got to be one of the worst daycares in the history of daycare. The woman who owns…read morethis daycare also owns another one in Norwalk. She is a terrible business owner...i.e. does not return phone calls or e-mails, does not follow up on parents' concerns, and does not hire properly trained staff. I have had the unfortunate experience of dealing with those people at both locations. I did not know she owned the Norwalk location until after my child was enrolled and started to notice the same issues. They do not have the system to notify parents of weather related closings, you have to watch the news to figure it out early in the morning. Sometimes, they do not notify the news people until late by which time I'm already on my way there. I have made it there twice only to realize they closed. The so called administrator calls your child by last name as if she is in the military. They allow the children to hit each other back. If a parent ever complain to the administrator, she goes back and tell the teacher who then looks at you funny and won't acknowledge your presence. The Norwalk location (bright beginnings academy) is not a sanitary place for children. There is almost never any hand soap in the bathrooms, toilet paper is sometimes kept on the toilet's water reservoir or it's on the floor. Some of the teachers do not encourage children to wash their hands. On so many occasions, I had to make sure my child's hands and face were clean before leaving the premise as it was not done from lunch time. Oh did I mention that you also have to beg for your receipt once you have paid your weekly contribution...don't even mention getting your tax document! Do yourself a favor and stay away from those people. If you care for your child's wellbeing, go somewhere else, even though they charge less than the average daycare.

We tried 2 Catholic schools before this one and both were very bad experiences. My son learned to love the school here, his grades are great due to the amazing education system almost tailored to each child. He has gained self confidence, feels safe and secure. He looks forward to go to school everyday which I thought would never happen when he was at catholic school. Stuff are excellent beyond words. Each one of them. I highly recommend this school to everyone.

From the home room teachers to the specialty teachers, administrator and nurse, my girls finally found Their school. They excelled at academics and socialization during pandemic/post pandemic times. Their customized academic schedule was perfect. My 7th grader was graciously challenged by her science teacher and now she is taking high school science and testing and expect that to continue into the next year. My 4th grader loved dancing and singing but had to stop as she was not fond of the zoom format. At ECDS she found drama and has been so happy to be in the two plays for the year. These are just few highlights of the positive impact ECDS has had on our family and very grateful to have found the school. we will highly recommend.
