You pay extra based on your declared value, but you don't get your declared value back. - Declared a glass dining table for £700. - PSS charged 3.5% of declared value + 0.3% per every month of storage. I paid an extra £49. - Moved from London to Amsterdam (PSS721215). - Table came completely shattered. Local company declared it as a total loss and removed it entirely. - Sub contracted RCS ('Removal Claims Service') comes in. They now value the table as £200, not £700. - All claims are also subject to an extra £100 'handling fee', as clearly stated in T&Cs, of course. Arranged collection and delivery from the front door of our second floor apt in the UK to our second floor apt in America, specifically because my wife is pregnant, PSS used third-party companies who refused to carry boxes up or downstairs, which took a lot of extra work on our part. We were told our belongings would take 3 days, and instead it took 4 weeks. This was not a custom issue, the boxes have not left London. No communication from PSS. Damaged goods, half of breakable broken, inside of boxes wet, broken part near my bike frame. So much to improve on here, for now we would not use again. read more

I have so badly been let down by PSS, I had to write something here, hoping that other families will not go through what we have. They have ruined our move and caused so much stress at a time which was supposed to be the most exciting time of our lives. To top it up, we never ever received an honest apology neither from the useless "account manager" or the Managing Director. Not sure what he is managing as he never replies to any emails and the company misrepresents itself on every platform. THEY LIE!!! We have arranged a home survey, their employee has been to our home, seen every single thing we have and quoted us 4k. We have not taken a single thing more than we told PSS we would. As a customer we have done everything right, we were polite, done our paperwork well in advance, paid our invoice well in advance and waited for our moving day. On moving day, October 2022, I was at home with my 6-year-old daughter and my husband already in New Zealand. Never knowing that our Move Manager would be on holiday - no one told me, no PSS employee actually "managed" the move. Two PSS employees turned up early in the morning just after 8 am and packed everything, told me PSS truck would be arriving at 1pm to load everything. I was fine with this as they said it would take 40 minutes to an hour to load everything to the van. I waited till 1pm, no one arrived. At 2pm, I emailed PSS, they said the truck would be arriving between 3pm-4pm. That didn't happen. So I emailed again at 4.30pm, questioning where the truck is and heard nothing. From no one. At 5.30 pm, I was really worried. By this time, I have been indoors all day with a 6 year old and over 80 plus boxes, piled up to the ceiling, nowhere to sit, imagine being stuck in a two bedroom flat with a young child and we were leaving for Heathrow next day! I called every single number on their website, office is shut, no emergency contacts, no one replying to my emails (no one did), by that point I thought that's it; I have a house full of furniture, how am I going to be able to fly tomorrow? Finally at 18.15pm some random van arrived. The two guys who came to pick our furniture & boxes up (one of them had hardly any teeth (effing and blinding) and the other one told me he was a student and only doing this job to earn extra money during holidays!) were NOT PSS employees, their van was NOT PSS van. The service I received was NOT the service I anticipated, expected & paid for. I was expecting a professional team of people turning up on time and doing a good job. Instead, I received over booked, over tired people who were desperate to get back home to have their dinner! They actually told me so! It was chaos/circus that night, I was embarrassed as to how it's all handled. I had to let them use the lift as there was no way they could carry all those things downstairs in the "40 minutes" they promised. When they left it was 7.45pm. The move was not organised, all my stuff all over the building, at one point I have seen a random man helping them out. There was lots of random shouting, lots of swearing, inappropriate banter... But worst of all, the main mover told me that our stuff was going to be left in the van on the street! Overnight? You do not leave a van full of household goods out in the street!! All our stuff especially our baby keepsakes mean the world to us, and by seeing how they were treated clearly it means/meant nothing to them. When useless Account Manager was back from holiday 8 day later, all I heard from hereI was; you have way much more stuff, you must pay another £1800. How is this our fault? We haven't hidden any furniture, we haven't taken anything extra other than what we said we would. PSS only contacted us months later to blackmail either pay or we won't deliver... I cannot tell you I honestly think they must have some AI working in that office, no human decency & empathy... We had to pay the amount they were asking as we were desperate for our furniture... When our things arrived we realized they lost 4 boxes and the two muppets who packed our things literally chucked all stuff in boxes damaging my husbands stereo, along with other things.... They hired a new Customer Service Manager 3-4 months later to talk to us but the poor woman talked to us once or twice, shocked as to how bad it was and guess what we never heard from her again. I am so relieved I don't have to talk to them again and would rather sell all our stuff then use this company again. AVOID PSS!!! THEY ARE THE WORST!!! read more

Have used PSS twice due to few obvious alternatives available. Very inconsistent service, always contacted by different agents usually asking for more money. Many items showed up damaged and broken. They don't pack properly and they don't seem to care. If your shipping items precious to you, take your time to find a decent shipper. These guys make themselves seem efficient and available online, but their service is a pile of rubbish - and they will treat your belongings like rubbish. read more

PSS has been a nightmare to deal with. My wife agreed not to post her experiences with this company to get a small amount of compensation, which they forced her to negotiate for several weeks. PSS doesn't seem to know how to communicate. They are unwilling to take responsibility for their mistakes. The fine print and the formulas they espouse make it easier to deny their mistakes. Several employees went as far as to blame us, for something we had nothing to do with. They said we were delinquent in paying a charge we had never been sent. This charge came after we paid the " Final Invoice". After 8 months of exchanging emails, PSS claimed the computer made a billing error, which caused the delay, this delay was made worse because they seemed to have forgotten that our shipment was in the warehouse. Instead of 10 weeks, it took nearly 6 months to get our things. They only shipped them when we questioned why they had not arrived. My biggest concern is that I found their billing practices to be suspect. The final invoice was not the final invoice. Depending on your location Door to Door Service doesn't cover Door to Door Service (according to the explanation we eventually got, also suspect). They sell you insurance, then they break your things next they charge you £100 to process the claim. They stated the antiques were worth less due to age and wear and tear. PSS used DPD to collect the boxes containing my lifetime photo albums. 2 days after the collection date, I received an email saying that my packages were successfully collected and are "on their way". But 1 month later, PSS reported to me that my boxes have gone missing/had not been delivered by DPD to the PSS depot. I spent the next 2 months painfully chasing the investigation with no luck. I hired PSS to ship my items from the UK. to the USA I was quoted £1600 which I paid , I was also told to leave documents with the shipment which I did - the estate agent ( god love him) took care of this for me . and I headed back to the USA ( I'm a Brit ex pat) , PSS sent me a further bill for £350 and basically held my items to ransom until I paid, I explained that I was having difficulty accessing my funds in the Uk so they slapped a further £75 storage fee on top . They made a really difficult and hard time even harder ( the death of my mum and her final arrangements) rotating shipping managers , no updates except demands for money , blatant rudeness and a uncaring attitude, I would never ever ever use these people again . I'm moving to America and from an initial perusal online at various shipping companies I came across PSS. I registered for a quote and then moved on to the next company. Their office emailed and phoned me within a couple of days to discuss options, at first their tenacity was off putting but actually I'm glad for it. They have been so helpful with the whole process, even talking me through step by step what to write in the documentation that accompanies my boxes. Avoid at all costs. Can't give them one star because at least my packages arrived (although weeks late), but this company is a disaster at every step along the way. I was told my price was an "estimate" and they would weigh and measure the packages after delivery. That never occurred, and I never received a new invoice. They got my delivery address wrong on the waybill despite me calling and emailing to correct. I was guaranteed a two-hour pickup window be fire purchase. After purchase, I was given a seven hour window instead, and the pickup still didn't come within that window. My shipment was accidentally categorized as commercial and I went through hell with DHL trying to properly categorize it as personal. I still haven't been refunded the extra charge for "commercial" shipping. Customer service is polite on the phone but does next to nothing to help after hanging up. I must have called PSS at least 20 times before my shipment was delivered. After all this, they admitted wrongdoing and offered a £35 refund. That's approximately 7% of what we paid, and doesn't even reimburse me for all the time and money I spent on long distance phone calls. read more

We moved from UK to new zealand and used PSS to ship our stuff out. I sent lots of tools and some household stuff out. Since I first phoned them for a quote I had nothing but trouble but the straw that broke the camels back was when I received an Email from the NZ port where everything had been delivered to say the documents PSS had sent them were illegible and I had to detour from my holiday to redo all the documents they were supposed to send them therefore doing PSS's job for them, costing me time and money! Listed below are the other Mistakes PSS made: - Repeatedly got my name wrong after being corrected about it repeatedly - Failed to inform me of Customs charges I ended up having to pay once in New Zealand to release my goods - Failed to inform me of 1-2 weeks Customs delay in picking my tools up from customs - Shipment took longer than 12 week time frame quoted to reach Christchurch - Failed to inform me of insurance charges when quoting me, (I only found out when I was invoiced). - Some members of staff were quite rude and dismissive when I phoned up to question stuff Basically PSS messed up the paperwork, delivered the shipment late, failed to inform me of lots of important details and were generally very unprofessional. The only thing that didn't go wrong is the shipment made it to me in one piece thankfully albeit late! When I emailed them repeatedly to complain they ignored me. PSS has been holding our items for months, demanding substantial extra change above the agreed price. To get business, PSS didn't give the real cost and full information when providing the quote. There're so many hidden costs that we didn't know. For example, their quote: 1 free airfreight shipment arriving before the container. It sounds really attractive to anyone who has to wait two months for their container. But when the box arrived, we had to pay this side £180 to get it. Misguided by the information, we've only put some duvet and towels in the box. If we knew it'll cost that much, we'd never want that box to be shipped separately from the rest. This is just one of many nuisances that PSS use to manupulate the customers into giving them business at your own costs. The removal team itself is all right but there was no communication between them and the office who provided the service scope. As a result, they packed everything and the office demanded we pay over £1500 extra after all our stuff have already been taken away. We could have threw away quite a few more things if the removal team had advised us. We tried to communicate with the office but they didn't respond to our complaint to points. I would not recommend PSS to anyone. The sales guy came over all professional however I'm guessing that's just sales people for you. When our goods were packed at our house PSS removed the fridge freezer doors, claiming that they would not be able to get the fridge out of the house unless they did this, my wife assured them that it was delivered that way however when her back was turned they still removed them breaking one of the water connection pipes. When the fridge arrived in Australia it was a struggle for the company this end to work our how it all went back together again. Our bed was dismantled and the bolts for this were packing in carton that contained kitchen goods !! Heavy BBQ plates were packed in boxes with glass luckily nothing was damaged, however I can't say that for one of our Televisions that just had some brown paper wrapped around it and then a cardboard box used as a sleeve to go over it. PSS were also no upfront about costs payable within Australia, their blurb on the quotation say they are unable to advise the costs due to them being variable depending on the work involved however we received an invoice from their Australian agents for $750 as a quarantine inspection fee and when questioned were advised that this was a fix charge for a 40 foot container. Therefore I do not understand why PSS would not know this having been in the business for over 30 years !!! read more

We recently used PSS to move a house lot from the UK to New Zealand. Up front they seemed really helpful, the packing team who worked on our house were efficient and helpful. But as we found out once our possessions were set to arrive in NZ, a number of the itemised inventories needed to clear customs hadn't been taken. In contacting PSS they were argumentative and unhelpful, meaning I had to work directly with NZ customs to get things straightened out. PSS also handed us over to NZ Van Lines to deliver our goods once on the ground who attempted to load us with additional 'fees' which were ultimately already included in what we had paid PSS. I've outlined below why you should never use PSS International Removals. Surveyor miscalculated the shipment size. PSS Surveyor came to the house and estimated a 1/2 container with a possible spill-over of 11 cuft. The spill-over actually resulted in 120cuft. I was then charged an outrages rate that was an additional 40% of the original quote!!! When I complained, they did an investigation that did not include speaking with me directly. Their claim was that I added a tool box, wood burning stove (the size of tool box) and two chest of drawers. They also ignored several request, to the packers, for me to break down some of the furniture (they would not do it). Those additions were nowhere near the an addtional 100 cuft. As they had my stuff, I had to pay with no recourse. Adding insult to injury, I just rec'd another bill for approx. $200 for another fee by their agent! I found they gave a very aggressive price quote to win the business at approximately £5000, only to hit me, after the fact, with another £1900 in over-spill and another $200 for delivery charges for their agent. Additionally, I found the PSS customer service and professionalism to be shockingly bad. They have written their contracts so they are not accountable or responsible for any mistakes or incompetencies on their part. I have used PSS for international removals 3 times. Twice for home removals (using their packing services both times) and once for a client's office relocation. Times one and two were faultless. This time has been a disaster from beginning to end. I don't know if they've changed management, ownership etc but it's been appalling. The packers were whining and complaining on the day; they told us they didn't need us to write what was going in the air freight when we asked so it was then delayed on arrival as the information was needed; they didn't note which boxes our declared shipped items went into to so they were delayed on arrival too; and now, as I unpack I could just cry. Pottery is broken, glasses broken; a glass chess board that was a gift 20 years ago also broken (it was wrapped in a single sheet of paper and tossed in a box of games); painting canvases stretched and ruined as they've packed with other objects pushing into them; clothes stuffed into boxes with no regard for the fact they were folded and could have been placed in. Can not express how disgusted I am right now, but hope I can save someone else the frustration and disappointment. The removal team was excellent, they packed everything so well that nothing broke or even cracked in transit. They were fast, efficient and really friendly. Everything else about the service from PSS was downhill from there. It was really stressful dealing with them. Customer service was minimal and the company in the US (where I relocated to), who they partnered with, further outsourced delivery to another company so I was having to chase three different companies to find out where my shipment was and why, in the end, it was 7 weeks late. My moving manager never followed up with me so I was having to report the delays to him and ask him to find out what was happening. Staff shortages, delays at customs, and the weather were all given as reasons for the delay. No reason was given why delays weren't communicated proactively. The local delivery company confirmed 4 different delivery dates over three weeks apart, cancelling three of them either the day before or on the day the delivery was due to be made. On the actual delivery day the driver told me I had missed out on the previous deliveries because of staff shortages and they had realised, at the last minute, they couldn't fit my stuff into their truck with all the other shipments... Moving abroad is stressful enough without the relocation company adding to it. Save yourself the extra stress and find another company. read more

I would have given them a better review had it not been for getting hit with extra charges at the end that I was not told about. The day before the delivery their agent contours logistics told me there would be a chassis fee and if I didn't pay for it then no delivery. Despite having an email from PSS telling me that other than additional customs fees should the US government decide to do additional screening on my boxes that there were no extra fees I was still stuck with this at the last minute. This was a fee they knew would be incurred (it is incurred on every US shipment) and told me it was in the paperwork. I had gotten a lot of quotes hence why I asked if there were any other potential fees in order to avoid this type of last minute surprise. The manager told me it was an oversight and essentially too bad for me. I am off the view that if it is your mistake pay for it. The cavalier attitude of the manager was not appreciated and have advised friends who are moving out of the U.K. to go with another company. read more
