Do not use! We had a brand-new A/C unit installed in our home and it was a nightmare start to finish. It is still not functioning properly. We spent 10K on a new system and it does not properly cool. There is an uneven distribution of air. When Bobby came out to give an estimate I explained both bedrooms did not cool down. He said it was due to no returns in the bedrooms and it would improve with the putting returns in the ceilings, installing a larger A/C unit, and adding returns in those rooms. It did not help. We have the same issues in those rooms.
In the initial install, they completed the work and when I came home, I found the tech using my home vacuum to clean up the construction debris. He was using the handle from my upright vacuum. They did a poor job of cleaning and when they left my home my friend went to use the vacuum and the handle came off in her hand. They obviously broke it and did not know how to detach the handle from the Shark upright.
First, they should not have gone through my home to find my vacuum in the garage, and second, why are they using customers vacuums to clean construction debris? Don't they have shop vacs? His employee claimed the vacuum was already broken. Who goes into my garage and takes a supposedly broken customers vacuum, and uses it to clean their construction debris? I assure you, it was not broken! Bobby had to come out and bring his vacuum from his home to clean up after his mess.
All we ask is if you are working in our home, leave it the way you found it. We should not have to clean up after contractors.
When I called Bob about the vacuum, he offered to replace the part. It was sent and it was not the broken part so I ordered another part. When that came, it turned out it was both parts and I had to reorder the first part. We had to duct tape the handle in order to use the vacuum. This whole mess took 2 months to get my vacuum functional.
They installed the unit in April and were to come out the following day to do the return work. They called and said it would be next week because of material shortages. They obviously did not have the materials to complete the job. They didn't have all the materials to complete the job when they started. After calling for 2 months, they finally came out to finish the work.
In July, when they came out to do the remaining work, they had the whole crew in my house. They had 2 returns left to do and they sent his dad to get the vent covers at the supply house. Once again, not prepared to complete the job.
During the install, they found a leak in the vent in the office. They tried using mastic. My husband noticed the air was not coming from the vent and went up in the attic only to find the mastic did not cure and air was flowing through the attic. They came out 2 more times because the repair did not hold.
They left, and the dad came back and tried to install the vent himself. He removed the vent covers in the back 2 rooms. The one room he tried to do ,he dropped the vent, nicked my wall and cut his finger. He said he could not do it because he need another tech to help. He called and no one was available to help, so he just simply left my house, left the ladder where he worked, left the construction debris on the floor, the vent missing in both rooms, and never returned. This was on a Friday.
I called Bobby - he was in Venice and asked to come Monday. We not only had to clean up after his dad, put their ladder away, but then wait till Monday with no vents in place. Over the weekend, my husband was irritated at the incomplete work, so he went into to attic, and I helped install the one vent ourselves. The other vent the dad brought was the wrong size.
Later that night we found that the ceiling fan in the guest room did not work. My husband went into the attic to see what was wrong. He moved a wire and the fan worked. After a week it does not turn on again. The fan was not broken before they did the work. They obviously did something during the return installation. Now we have that issue to resolve.
Bobby sent his tech on Monday to repair the ductwork in the attic again. I gave the tech the trash bag of debris to take with him. We see how they work!
So now, we have a new A/C unit that still does not cool properly. Bobby suggested that he run new ductwork to both rooms to increase the airflow. I was supposed to get a call with a price and he never called. I have texted him (his preferred method of communication) and have been ignored. Still - no final inspection done either.
