I'm a driver. A product of the suburbs. I covet the convenience of getting in my car whenever I…read morewant and getting where I need to go when I want to get there. So why am I reviewing a bus route... because I can AND because this one deserves praise. There's only been a few occasions in the last 7 months that I've NEEDED to take the bus but each time I've walked to Kipling this bus is like a good neighbour, a good friend, nay like Statefarm insurance - it's there! Even in weekends with reduced service it seems like 10 minutes is the longest I've ever had to wait. For those looking to access the lesser known beaches of south etobicoke from the city center a quick ride across the bloor line to the Kipling station and jumping on this bus will have you at the Humber campus where they begin, in no time. I also feel a lot safer knowing that my fiancée, a regular TTC rider, never needs to wait for her bus when she leaves early in the morning for work. I've clocked it and the express buss actually gets me to Kipling station faster than when I drive. All other bus routes take note. Oh and also.... no crazies in this route phew!

It has been on time each time I've ridden (admittedly not very often, but still). The buses on this route don't bunch up, and the drivers are always pleasant. #29 Dufferin Bus, take note. The story of the 45 vs. the 29 is like the story of the two brothers in a large family: one is the golden boy while the other is the crazy fool, up to no good. Well done 45! Get yo shit together 29. I know this is a review of the 45, but I don't let go of any opportunity to berate the 29.#firstworldproblems

This morning when my regular taxi company was unavailable, I looked online and found All Star Taxi…read more Being my first experience with All Star, I didn't know what to expect, but their car arrived quickly and as the driver got out to put my walker in the trunk, he smiled and said "Good Morning". What a nice surprise that was! After dealing in the past with the rage of some taxi drivers because of short trips, I apologized to the All Star driver for today's short trip but he said, "No problem." When we arrived at my destination the driver got my walker out of the trunk and set it up for me while wishing me a nice day. A very pleasant trip with a good driver in a nice clean car. Later when calling to arrange a ride back home, I was advised that no cars were available and it would be a half hour so I agreed to wait. After the half hour I called again, and was assured a car was on the way. Shortly afterwards it arrived and once again the driver was very helpful. When we arrived at my home, the driver took my walker out of the trunk even arranged the groceries on it so they were easier to for me to carry. Both experiences were just what one hopes will be he case when calling for a ride. Thank you All Star. Marjorie

I work by the airport. At the old office building, I would park my car in the lot at the office and…read moretake a cab across the street to the airport. It would be hit or miss when hailing a cab to take me to the airport. Often, I'd be waiting for a while and needed to factor at least an extra a half an hour. Roughly five years ago, the company moved to the other side of the airport. I asked my boyfriend which taxi company he calls, as he travels for business more than I do for business and pleasure combined. He recommended All Star Taxi. I have called this company ever since whenever I need to head over to Pearson. I still have the option of parking in the lot at the office and calling a cab. The folks on the phone are always pleasant, even when I am asking for one at 6 am. It has caller ID. I am considered a regular that my name and work location automatically pop up in the system, which saves everyone time. All Star Taxi is roughly five minutes away from my workplace. It's enough time for me to drop all my luggage in front of my office building, drive my car to the underground parking lot, and walk over to my luggage. A taxi appears immediately. It's like magic and it's impressive. You get text messages letting you know how far away your taxi is. It's a nice touch. It's almost ridiculous to get them considering that it takes little time for it to arrive at the office. Drivers are always polite and help load my luggage into the trunk. It accepts credit cards, which I always use. I get to the airport with one less thing to worry about. These days, All Star Taxi has an app that you can use to hail a cab. I will give it a shot next time. (52)
