On our way to the Musée National Picasso on a Sunday before noon, we stumbled upon this little park. It was empty except for one older gentleman who was on his phone talking to someone. There was live chamber music coming from somewhere, so the hubby and I decided to stop and rest here on one of the benches.
It's a beautiful park with a statue called Dawn in the middle of the square, surrounded by flowers in a circular grassy plot of land. We listened to the music for a while and just enjoyed sitting there after a morning of exploring the Rue Montorguiel Farmers Market and walking around the Marais and checking out the shops.
Surprisingly enough, this was the only park I was able to get free wifi in Paris. There are supposed to be 260 places in Paris where you can connect to the Ville of Paris' free wi-fi. I tried to connect in all the parks that we visited, but no luck. If you must post something on a social media site and you're in the area, check out this park and use its free wifi.
Better yet, take a break from walking and social media, and enjoy the park's simple beauty and quietude. Let it rejuvenate you for your next adventure in Paris! read more
