We were greeted immediately and the man working offered to upgrade me to a suite, which was really kind. I chose to keep my original room since I needed a king size bed. You must be 18 to go to the fitness room now. My minor son was bummed as he likes to walk on the treadmill next to me. We like the waffles at breakfast and the oatmeal bar. I'm happy to start this review by saying -- finally -- this location gets it right. The channel guide is straightforward, and the remote has numbered buttons for easy navigation. A small detail, but much appreciated. The room was clean, tidy, and comfortably sized, with thoughtful amenities like a mini fridge and microwave. I especially appreciated the extra charging box on the nightstand, which offered multiple outlet options -- a small touch that made a big difference. Two downsides: my room had a window with a failed seal, which obscured the view. Hopefully, that's a one-off issue. Also, the pillows appear to be fluffy, however when you lay on them they flatten like paper. The hotel features a small but adequate gym for its size and an indoor pool, which is a nice bonus. The location is excellent -- close to plenty of dining and shopping options, but tucked away enough to stay quiet and peaceful. Easy access to the highway makes it a convenient stop for travelers. Overall, a solid stay that hits the right notes in comfort and convenience.

It was a really decent place and I've stayed in a lot of hotels that looks decent, but then the rooms were very terrible. They were also extremely accommodating when I explained that I get over sensory issues and that I did not want to be near an elevator. They found anyway they could to keep me away from that. The first night, my upstairs neighbor was stomping, pounding, dancing, walking loudly, exercising or something of the type well past dark, until 1 a.m. or so. I normally don't have trouble sleeping in hotels, but when the walls are literally shaking there's only so much that the fan and a white noise app can do. The second night, I heard the same ruckus start up by about 9:30 p.m. as I was checking emails and preparing for the next day. Having not gotten my full night of sleep the day before, I was immediately filled with dread that I was in for another long night. I went downstairs to speak to the employee at the front desk (I'm sorry I didn't jot down her name) and explained the situation, asking if I could move rooms or we could find another solution. She very kindly offered to go speak to the resident(s) of the room above me and said if the noise continued after that, she could move me to a room on the 4th floor--just call down to the front and she could bring up the key. I have no idea what she said to my upstairs neighbor, but it absolutely worked. The noise died down, and I got a great night of sleep. Everything else about this hotel was great--super clean, great amenities and a modern, streamlined interior. Would stay here again (but maybe only on the top floor).
