Although it's just off the main Rheingau road, the place is quiet with no traffic noise. Food is fairly basic, no frills, reasonable portions and not expensive at all. The Flammkuchen was the best I've ever had and I've had quite a few. The food is a perfect accompaniment to the wins which are excellent Rheingau choices both by the glass and by the bottle. Prices are extremely reasonable. The ambiance is the best. Nestled between vines and ivy covered stone walls, the view is of a cathedral, a chateau, and a few other centuries old structures. It's about as perfect an atmosphere as you could want. Highly recommended for sunny days. They are open til mid October. Just a perfect place.
