I tried: Banh Mi Pork Banh Mi Rotisserie Chicken Banh Mi Dry Shredded Chicken Banh Tiêu (Vietnamese Sweet Bun) Xôi Khúc (Sticky Rice Ball) Dáy giô (Steamed Glutinous Rice Cake with Pork) Banh Duc Ngot (Pandan Rice Cake with Coconut Sauce) Iced Coffee They have a daily promotion JUST $5 for a Banh Mi sandwich. You can also get 5 and get one FREE! I love a good deal / promotion. This was my first time trying the Pandan dessert and the two savory options. Everything was so good. The sweet buns were the freshest buns I've ever had. They were stretchy, light, airy and had the perfect amount of sweetness. Similar to a doughnut without any of the heaviness. There was a steady flow of customers and I chatted with a few. They all commented on fresh and delicious the food was here. There's a reason people keep coming back. I loved the atmosphere and warmth I felt in this family run business.

The Banh Mi sandwiches range from the traditional cold cut combo to rotisserie chicken! All the sandwiches are made by hand in the store with the freshly baked baguette that is crispy enough to hold all the pickled vegetables, pate, mayo, and meats. The fried donut is also an underrated item to enjoy with the cold Vietnamese coffee! Be sure to swing by the plaza for a small taste of home!

TIP: Easier to access if you're travelling North on Tomken…read more A very different, yet still good experience from Muldoon's! Java Works is a little more corporate and they do not sell beans in bulk. What happens here? Roasting, e-commerce, & there is an on-site retail store, but that is not heavily marketed, according to one of the owners, Frank. The bags of whole beans is less expensive than what's on their website. Frank was kind enough to make me a latté from their Bravado line of espresso beans. It was very good, smooth, and did not need sugar. I didn't feel as free to sample because they didn't have an automated machine like Muldoon's. The two friendly ladies who worked at the front were also behind desks, so they don't have a dedicated sales person who is catering to walk-in traffic. However, I don't think it would be an issue if you wanted to taste a coffee before you purchased it! Despite its corporate appearance, it still did have a family-run feel to it. Heck, the founder, Spiros (in his 70s/80s even) still works there to this day!!!
