Kids earn tokens from the hygienist and dentist for allowing them to do what they ask (within reason) and then they can spend the token in the lobby on a toy from the toy machines. They have a movie to help distract the kids and explain and show everything they are going to do before they do it. Then upon calling the day of an appointment to let them know I was sick they put me on a list which will only allow me to obtain an appointment on short notice if someone else cancels.
