We bought a new 2021 Cougar from Camping World in Bowling Green…read more We loved Harris Kinslow our sales guy. We knew what we wanted and Harris did not try to sell us anything over and above our price range . When we came to pick up the 5th wheel we had a great experience inside the store The Walk thru was very detailed . Shrek (walk thru guide) was Extremely knowledgeable with the brand and model we bought Overall, we could not have asked for better service If you need a great experience with buying a camper, etc go to Camping World in Bowling Green KY Happy Campers are Mike and Diane R

We purchased a camper from Camping World in Bowling Green, Kentucky, and the entire experience has…read morebeen one headache after another. From the start, they tried to sell me a trailer hitch at full price even though it was discounted on their own website. When I pointed this out, the salesman disappeared to "talk to his manager" and came back claiming the original $1,000 price included installation and labor -- which apparently meant sliding the hitch into the back of my truck for an extra $500. It felt like a scam from the beginning. After signing the paperwork and driving an hour home, they called the next day saying they had "lost" or thrown away our paperwork and wanted us to drive all the way back to fix their mistake. We refused, so they mailed it instead. We took our "new winterized unit" camping the following weekend, and on day one the flow sensor in the tankless hot water heater cracked and leaked water the entire trip. We called our salesman and the service department twice over the weekend and never received a single call back. A month and a half later, someone from Camping World finally called to ask how we liked our purchase. When I explained everything that happened the hitch issue, the lost paperwork, the lack of communication, and the water heater failure they said they'd call back. When they did, the service manager told us to call them so they could "maybe" warranty the issue. Which I do have a text message from our salesman saying " it will for sure be covered" At this point, I wouldn't recommend Camping World in Bowling Green to anyone. Between the upselling games, the poor communication, and the lack of accountability, this has been one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had.

Candy's now called Blue compass…read more I purchased a new Jayco Northpoint from Blue Compass August 2024. I was charged 695.00 for a PDI that was not performed. They even tried to bait and switch me at closing with another Northpoint (they had two on their lot at that time)--thank goodness I noticed the different VIN number. Then they said that the North Point I wanted (even though it was the exact same model... exact same year) they needed another $2,600 to close the sale. On the first night of ownership, we drove the RV to a KY state park only to be awakened at 1:00 a.m. by our camp neighbors knocking on our door as alarms were sounding off. The regulator (which should be part of the PDI inspection) was defective and dumped two of the 40 pound tanks of propane into the RV. This propane issue could have killed us. During the past 365 days we have only been able to use the RV for a total of five camp trips. The first camp night (day of purchase) alarms went off at 1:00 a.m. During the second camp trip the flexible PEX water lines broke and we had the extra expense of calling out a mobile tech. The third camp trip is when the kitchen side would not retract and again we had to pay out-of-pocket for a mobile tech to come out. And the fifth camp trip was scheduled because GE appliance service needed the RV at a park to have a technician come out and evaluate the oven that will not light. The RV has been at Jayco approved service centers more than we have even used it. I am a retired public school teacher and I used my years of savings to buy the RV in hopes of enjoying the last years of my life. This experience has been exactly the opposite. I have been outright lied to by several Blue Compass employees and I would never suggest anybody purchase from them. The kitchen slide would not retract, the roof has bubbles, the side wall seam is coming apart, the bedroom slide has twisted seals and is not parallel to the ground, the slide toppers were not installed correctly and dump water into the windows, the door opens during transit even after it is locked, the GE Profile oven will not light, and we have had several flexible PEX lines burst causing flooding issues...it just goes on and on. We brought the RV back into Blue Compass Bowling Green's -Sister store located in Scottsvile for 9 warranty work items because we were told that Blue Compass Bowling Green did not have a large enough service center ...Please keep in mind that we were told if we bought the RV from them that we would "go to the first of the line if we ever needed service in the future"... Absolutely untrue in my experience. I found out that not only the service manager was "let go" but the financial manager was "let go" and the GM was "let go" too. After the RV was in the Blue Compass service center for approximately one month, we discovered that absolutely nothing had been fixed or corrected. Yet I received notification through the bmpro and my Wi-Fi that my outdoor stair lights and then bedroom lights are being turned on at 2:00 a.m. I also received another notification stating that all three air conditioners were being turned on and left on. Our RV is now back at the Jayco factory in Middlebury IN. It feels like we may never get to use it. When I went to get my RV tags at the DMV....I had to pay more money because Blue Compass did not pay all the title/ taxes/registration costs. The Blue Compass finance manager also asked me to take a loan out even though I did not need one just so they could get a kick back. They required me to hold that loan for 7 months ...which I did ... this cost me more money in interest for the RV. Based on my experience, I have found blue Compass to be an unreputable and dishonest company. I will NEVER spend one more red cent at Blue Compass. I am sharing a life lesson learned the hard way in hopes of preventing others from going thru this. I wish I had known....because then I would not have purchased from Blue Compass.

We were headed from Franklin TN to Lexington KY with our 5 and 3yr old grandkids when we discovered…read moreour fridge had blown a fuse and had a dead short. We began calling Camping World and all the other RV dealerships in the Nashville area, and they were all booked for days. So we kept driving towards Lexington and calling shops on the way until we finally spoke to the guys at Blue Compass (formerly Candy's RV) near Scottsville KY, and they graciously offered to take a look. When we arrived, the shop foreman Jordan dropped the project he was working on and dove in, and within a couple hours had the problem diagnosed and fixed for a reasonable fee. So if the story ended there, what they did for us was exceptional. But it gets better. That night when we arrived at the Kentucky Horse Park campground, we discovered the overhead lights in the dining slideout weren't working. The next day we called Blue Compass, and Jordan immediately admitted that was the one item he didn't think to check before sending us on our way, as those lights are not normally on the same circuit as the fridge. He owned up to the problem, and volunteered to make the 2.5 hour drive to Lexington that night on his own time to make the repair. He showed up at 8pm and worked for another 2-3 hours to get everything working correctly, without one whisper of complaint. I ended up tipping him $250 for his time, something he never asked for or expected. Jordan is a man of integrity who lives out his faith! If we lived in the Bowling Green area, I wouldn't hesitate to have them do all our service work, and highly recommend them.
