Inside, waiting customers are provided with soft, black leather settees, decorated with plush purple cushions, and dark chandeliers and mirrored walls whip up a classy, chic ambience. The staff are incredibly welcoming and very friendly, and there are usually at least 4 stylists working at any one time, so wait times are never likely to become tiresome. Legend is a little pricey, but everything inside oozes luxury and an experience here is definitely one that will not be forgotten overnight.

The salon has built up an excellent reputation over the years and has a good customer base. The salon is modern and well equipped, the service is friendly and relaxed. I popped in for the usual short back and sides and emerged with a smart, professional finish. Female friends of mine have reported excellent results every time. I won't even claim to understand many of the treatments they offer here but what I can tell you is that the list is extensive and the prices seem very reasonable.

The salon was dated and shabby but as I'd already paid and only wanted a trim what could go wrong? Right? Oh my goodness!! Yes the stylist was very nice and friendly but what I left with was a bob shorter than I'd expected and to make matters worse a big chunk was missing off the length on one side and the cut wasn't even straight. On seeing it my friend laughed, that is before she grabbed the scissors and tried to sort it out. All the length around the bob was different. The stylist didn't even blow dry it properly but tried to style it using straighteners. I'm really really disappointed and look a complete fool. And, as so much was cut off I can't go and have it sorted out and have to live with it for a least a month. All in all the salon is dated, shabby and dirty and unprofessional. Yes the staff are friendly but I've had better cuts in the Birmingham Market! Avoid is my advice. And by the way, you get what you paid for and I paid £15 which bought me a haircut that looks like an untrained chimp has done. You've been warned!

Savva Savva is highly recommended.

One was at Luke Antony in Selly Oak, and the other was in lovely lovely Kore in Kings Norton. It's a beautiful salon, and overlooks the green, so that won my vote before I'd taken about 2 steps inside the door. When I did, however, I was warmly welcomed, and surrounded by people with great haircuts. I knew I would do well here. And I did. I had Kevin - who everybody seems to love - and rightly so. Despite the fact that I normally like hairdressers to listen to what I think rather than just going off on their own merry accord, Kevin kind of took control - but all his suggestions were spot-on. I think I love him. I am planning on smuggling him out of there and installing him permanently in my house as my hair slave. It is pricey. It is not astronomical, but it is pricey. That said, I am yet to meet anything other than a very, very satisfied customer of this place - me included. They've not put a foot wrong, as far as I can tell. Keep up the great work, Kore!

I haven't yet had my colour done here so I can't recommend that service, but for a quick trim and a cuppa this is a great place that isn't overly priced like a number of other city centre salons.

The second i went in i was made to feel at ease and i had a nice talk with Gina about what kinda of haircut i would like and what would suit my look. Needless to say my fears were unfounded. I found Gina to be very friendly and also very professional with my hair. it was clearly evident that she had a wealth of experience dealing with different hair types of different races and she showed me which direction my hair grows at ( a mighty problem with people with afro/asian hair) i also found her to be very open minded and a real pleasure to talk to. Ever since i stepped into the salon and had my first haircut i have been smitten. Even though i moved away from Birmingham i find that to this day i try to replicate the same haircut that she gave me. Guys, don't be put off by the fact that she might be busy some days, it only shows that she's a good stylist (and she has a number of v satisfied repeated customers that i personally know of). However I hate it because it's always so busy. This Saturday was no exception as it was really busy in there. They saved my hair!…read more I came here once to see if they could help me after I'd had a hair disaster at another salon nearby. (I'd asked for highlights and I got thick block streaks.) The girls here were great, they completely understood what had gone wrong and they advised me on what to do. They managed to slot me in two days later, brilliant! As I entered the girl on the desk remembered me and came up, smiling and chatting. I was put at ease straight away. They gave me a coffee and a magazine and got to work. A few hours later my hair was complete and I was in shock. There were no blocks of blonde anymore just carefully blended shades complimenting one another. They'd even got my style correct without having to ask. Over the years my hair ideas have changed so I had to step away from Evolution as they want to do the same thing with me each time. I come here for any trims I need and I go elsewhere for my colour.
