If you buy in bulk, you can negotiate a discount. Most of the plants are well priced .one problem I did have after purchasing about 40 plants for a hedge was that I was told they will have a batch the following Thursday. If I would like to return to buy more, so I stopped by on the Friday and they had none and it was driving one hour round-trip wasted. I was told to give them a call and they will get more in after numerous phone calls I gave up..

A local favorite for a light lunch, afternoon or high tea. Charming indoor and garden settings…read more Friendly and family run. Offers a good selection leaf teas, nice coffee and some excellent cakes, all served on an eclectic collection of assorted real China crockery (only way to take tea in my humble opinion). You can browse the home wares or plant nursery too. Lovely on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

If you're ever stuck mindlessly trawling the industrial backwater of south Penrith (a fate I wish…read moreall far away from) you might stumble across this oddity. Clover Fields make nice, natural soap that you usually see in health food stores. This is the factory outlet for their soap and, well, junk. Outside on the sun-bleached tables you can pick up a 'sonic cleanser' for dentures for $1. Inside it gets weirder. Clawfoot bath candles. The frog section. Next to the Penguin and Fairy sections. Novelty pens shaped like pizza (all sold out of the baguette ones). A squeaky severed hand, an anti-aging cookbook and a beginner's cheese-making kit. Bread-shaped magnets for a gag gift for the gluten intolerant. The soap's nice (like the green tea one) and I guess the junky stuff would be good for stocking fillers for the kids. But weird.

I entered the Rouse Hill Bunnings Wednesday 7 January. I approached the service counter for a…read morerefund. A older thin structure. I noted she was grumpy and when engaged me she was abrupt and rude. She told me to go get the replacement article in a low grade manner. As I came back I noted she was again grumpy towards another client and she saw me and walked off from the counter. Please review her she is acting strange and unhinged she might not only need training but more intense help. I am serious that she needs training and help. I hope management watch her actions on camera on the afternoon of the 7 January.

Sometimes they ask me as an immigrant: How are Australians? you know in general…read more In General in Rouse Hill Bunning WH you will find many natives. You get the very helpful respectful people who will speak in tongues to our untrained immigrant years but go the extra mile to give you a hand. But then, then you get the arse face, life is hard and dull attitude (even it is not since you live in bloody Australia!!) that will not only do a minimum effort but give you wise arse answers. So I called today 27 OCT 2022 to ask very kindly for bulk discounts. Gardening lady says using a very dry almost rude tone: IF you buy 1 or 1000 is the same price. Thanks

Finally! There's a DAISO in the West! Located at Westpoint, Blacktown (next to JB hi-fi)…read more Everything and I mean 'everything' costs $2.50. It ranges from clothes (scarf, socks, gloves), accessories (earrings, bracelets, necklaces), bathroom/kitchen items (knives, plates, towels) and a lot of pretty stationary. It has everything at affordable prices. $2.50 is a pretty decent price (maybe except when you pay $2.50 for stickers that you can easily get for $1 at the Reject Shop) BUT in saying that, $2.50 is pretty good for garden tools or kitchen tools or any other tools. The place is pretty new so everything is highly organised :) And friendly staff too! Come visit okay! :)

I accidentally entered Freedom assuming it was another Furniture store. One word to explain my experience is - Wow! Prepare to be impressed. The furniture is artistically laid out and everything looks elegant and natural. They have smartly interlaced the various furniture pieces into one floor space and I felt I was walking into someone's private villa. The staff are very kind and polite and more than willing to assist with queries. When the furniture I had seen on TV wasn't available in store, the staff kindly pointed out, I was probably thinking of another brand and she proceeded to give me directions to the competitor's store! Australian's are definitely a friendly bunch and I love how they are willing to support each other and the retail community in general. I like Freedom and they have made it to the top of my 'Furniture stores to consider' list.

Awesome experience from start to finish. I have been trying for ages to find a great picture…read moreframer that doesn't charge the earth. Was recommended to this one and am so thankful. We went in with a number of items and whilst I had ideas, really needed some direction. Toohey was terrific. He seemed to just get it and immediately picked the perfect frame and mount for each of the items I had. A number were antique maps so I didn't want them glued down like so many of the other insist need doing. Instead he did proper hinges. We picked up this weekend and were delighted. They look so so good and the quality is top notch. The flag that was being framed and float mounted, you can't see how it is attached to the board which is ideal. The others are mounted in ways that just make the maps and detail pop. The icing on the cake was the bill. They may not be the cheapest, and compete with those that frame through factories off-site, but you get the quality of a true craftsman at very reasonable prices. I cannot praise this experience highly enough and I will be back in a few weeks to get some of my previous disasters re-framed! Thank you

I go here when I can to search for good quality vintage (or at least vintage looking) clothes and…read moreI've been lucky with quite a few pieces. They sometimes have 50% off specials which make the clothes such a steal at $2-$3. I've been lucky with books as well, I've managed to score bestsellers like Lord of the Rings, J.R. Ward novels and relatively new edition travel and photography books. One time, I saw they had a Super 8 video camera on sale for $99, I'm sure that would've been snapped up pretty quickly by an enthusiast or a collector. There are plenty of good finds here if you're patient with looking at everything. The shelves are always organised, the volunteers do a great job of keeping it that way. It makes me feel good buying here knowing the money I spend, no matter how small it is, is going to a good cause.
