Great clean rooms! Love the atmospheres it's located right next to a good restaurant. Not very loud. Breakfast is also amazing. I really like the design of the shower being separate from the toilet. Good touch!

A last-minute weekend getaway to visit the nearby Dinosaur National Monument meant hotel rates were extremely high ($249 / night), but the SpringHill Suites looked like one of the nicer properties in town (it is). As a loyal Hilton member, I'm not familiar with this chain or brand, but I was impressed. My room was spacious, clean, well-appointed, and quite lovely. The hotel is located in a busy area with a Cafe Rio in the parking lot. Free parking, and the lot was well lit and felt safe. The hotel was bustling with families, and the woman at the front desk seemed a bit frazzled. I didn't find the service here to be top-notch, but I'm sure that's a result of one and two night visitors. I can't imagine they get a bunch of repeat business, just due to the area. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean. The hotel smelled and felt new, with furnishings that were in excellent condition. This wasn't a luxury property, but it was a cut above more mid-range hotel chains. I was comfortable during my stay. The hotel provided a laughable free breakfast, and I would skip it unless you are truly starving. All in all, this is one of the nicer places to stay in Vernal.

We had a great stay here! The hotel is very nice and the staff is super helpful and friendly! The bedrooms are roomy and I loved the separate couch area. You could really sleep 6 in a double queen room very easily because of the pull-out bed. A huge plus is that they have a ton of mirrors everywhere. Often hotels will just have one in the bathroom, which makes it hard for everyone to get ready at the same time. Here they have 4-5 large ones throughout the room and it was so nice! My only complaint is that a couple of the mirrors are at weird angles in the bathroom and aren't very practical. During COVID-19 they still serve breakfast but you order it at the counter instead of serving it yourself. We were happy with the precautions they took to make everyone feel safe. I would be very happy to stay here again and definitely recommend it if you're in the area!

Breakfast skillet. Didn't like how it looked so didn't try it. They have waffles and bagels as well

Highly recommend this hotel and will definitely go back. The room was clean, the shower had great pressure, and even the hair dryer has power. Our room has a fridge, microwave, a table for for work, 2 queen beds, and a couch for a 5th person. The pool area is very clean and the pool is heated. My kids swam at 8pm forgetting that it was under 30 degrees outside. Typical breakfast but didn't like it. Although my kids enjoyed the cereals and yogurt. It's ok though because there's fast food and restaurants near by - just stay away from 7-11 Ranch. The gentlemen at the front desk are really nice too

Small little town to get away and enjoy the peace and quiet from the city. Friendly staff, clean room, and by far a beautiful scenery and drive when coming and going to Salt Lake. Price was $109 a night. (Added photos from Park City since it was along the way!)

This is my 27th review of a Marriott property, so obviously I'm a fan of the chain. One of the Marriott pluses is that you can usually find some brand under the Marriott umbrella no matter where you are in the country. Vernal actually has two - this and a TownPlace - which are located right next to each other. As far as the Marriott brand goes, this is more of an A-OK three star property, but considering the price and location I'm bumping it up to four to be fair. In addition to a bed, your room will have a wet bar, mini fridge, and microwave. The shower/vanity are separate from the toilet, which is nice if competing for space getting ready in the morning. The breakfast was decent - eggs, sausage, dry cereals, juices, yogurts, waffles, various breads, and bananas. No sliced fruit salad, though, which is always my favorite way to start the day. But, with the overall selection you should definitely find something satisfying. The lobby is well kept and modern, and the folks working the front desk were efficient and helpful. The hotel is in a busy area of town (as busy as Vernal gets), so you've got a Wallgreen's just a couple blocks away and a Mexican restaurant across the parking lot. It's a mile or so from the Field House Museum and a 20 minute drive to Dinosaur National Monument. Be sure to check out the lobby for tourist ideas, as they keep it stocked with brochures, hiking guides, and restaurant recommendations in the area. I did the Moonshine Arch hike (15 or so minute drive from the hotel) which I would not have found without the brochure. Enjoy your stay!

The Springhill Suites By Marriott in Vernal was a wonderful hotel with modern furnishings and decorations, very comfortable rooms, and a great staff. Our room featured a very comfortable king bed with separate "living room" area with a small sofa and coffe table. We also had a small desk nook that would have been great if I'd needed to bring a laptop and get some work done. They have free wi-fi by the way. Our room had a separate shower with sink and a separate toilet and sink. I'm always surprised when hotels go to the expense of a flat panel HD television and then don't have HD channels. Although I didn't watch much TV during my stay I would think Marriott would have moved into the 21st century, get HIGH DEFINITION dudes! The continental breakfast in the morning was nothing special, just the usual mix of cereal, bagels and other baked items, waffles, eggs and bacon, milk and juices, etc. My biggest and probably only compliant with this hotel was the pool. I love to swim and when I stay at hotels I always bring my swim trunks. I much prefer outdoor pools and unfortunately the Springhill Suites has an indoor one. The pool was very small and felt cramped even with a few people. They had a hot tub and a pretty large exercise room which was nice, but I wish they'd either put in a larger pool and a smaller exercise room or simply taken the pool outside. Overall the Springhill Suites By Marriott was a great place to stay and definitely the best hotel in the Vernal area.

We loved the pool! We swam before bed and after breakfast.

The property is located in the heart of the Vernal business district, within an easy walk of any businesses in the area. We walked to dinner each night. The layout appears to be the combination of 2 distinct original motels, now combined. This includes an Italian restaurant (reviewed separately). The rooms associated with both of the original motels surround a pool. Rooms are direct access to the parking lot (i.e., no 'central hallway'), which was fine for us. Check-in was easy. They also provide a couple of computers for guest access. This was useful on our last night for printing our boarding passes. In addition, they allow access to their dining room so that you can refill water bottles throughout the day, a service which we took full advantage of. Rooms in back of the pool are slightly trickier to park, but otherwise there was no issue. Our room was spacious in terms of where you can lay out a suitcase. There was also plenty of room on the bathroom counter for all 3 of us. This was in stark contrast to some places we've stayed in the last year (I'm looking at you, Amsterdam!). The only slight drawback to the room was the beds. I don't know that this was quite 'queen size', so 2 of us together both felt a bit cramped. It wasn't a big deal, though. Breakfast on the mornings we stayed here was from 6:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. The 'rush' seemed to be at 6:30 a.m., as those with river rafting reservations got there early. The process was a bit unique - you queued up and placed an order for most of your food (eggs, bacon, cereal, bread, etc.). Once you got that, you proceeded into the dining room to eat (and to toast your bread, etc.). Coffee and juice was self-serve. I didn't object to this, as I got basically the same food that I'd have had at Hampton Inn, etc. I assume they'd had some issues with food waste, and this was their solution. The food itself was pretty standard. Overall, this is a fairly basic motel that should meet most peoples' needs. I'd consider staying here again if I returned to Vernal.

As soon as I realized the mistake, I contacted both Choice Hotels and the hotel directly to try to resolve it. Choice Hotels pointed the responsibility back to the hotel, but the hotel staff made no effort to help. I even asked if they could simply charge me full price for the one night I stayed (not a discounted rate) and refund the remaining nights, but they refused to work with me in any way. Mistakes happen, and I wasn't asking for something unreasonable--just basic customer service and a willingness to help. Instead, I was met with zero flexibility and no solutions, which was extremely frustrating. Because of this experience, I would rate the customer service at this location as poor. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and considers being more accommodating to guests when honest booking errors occur.

There is YEARS worth of build up of gunk and crumbs around the bed and nightstands. Everything has a layer of grime and stains from not cleaning. The sheets were stained. There were holes in the wall, covered by tape. They looked like bullet holes.. There were cracks on the walls in both the bathroom and the bedroom. The shower water pressure felt like the shower was a slow leak and the drain was very slow to drain, so we were standing in our own soapy water and other peoples' hair from the drain. The carpet was so dirty, we didn't take off our shoes inside the room until we sat on the bed. You need a remote to use the air conditioning, but you have to call down (on a disgusting grimy phone) to get the remote brought to your room. There was only one plug in the entire room. We had to move the gross nightstand to get to it. Only one person can charge on one side of the bed. If you and your spouse both have CPAP machines or any other medical devices that has to be plugged in to a power outlet, then this place will not work for you. Only my husband's phone was charging through the night and I had to let my phone and my watch die overnight. If you and your spouse need WiFi then I would not rely on this place. The WiFi was very sketchy. It wasn't secured network and was very slow.

Our attempt to camp down the road at the Dinosaur Monument NP didn't work out. The spot we chose ended up being reserved. It was mid July hot 100+. All the spots in that little area were reserved. Only spots left available were in the sun with no shade. I was waiting for hubby to call it, he finally did, so we packed it all up and hit the road. We are Platinum Wyndham Rewards members. I found a Days Inn and Super 8 about the same price in town. Hubby said Days Inn is typically better than Super 8 while I thought it was the other way around. I looked up on Yelp... one 5 star review for this place (there has since been another) while the Days Inn reviews were scary... so decision was made. I called front desk asking if they could beat the price that I was quoted online. He couldn't. He also said I wouldn't be able to get a 2 bed room any cheaper. Well I showed him... called the Wyndham Diamond Concierge hotline to book the room which saved me a few dollars while proving my point. Lol. Our room was very basic. I took a pic of our "closet" which was walls built in the room blocking the AC window unit. That wasn't the only odd thing about the room... look at the design of the bathroom. it had a corner tub, a weird angle walls. There is also a pool and hot tub that has been enclosed on the outside of the hotel. Breakfast room is tiny and gets crowded quick. Their offerings are very basic, but hey, it's included in the price! We asked the front desk where to go for dinner. He suggested the steakhouse buffet next door... and that was perfect actually. All I have to say is that we found a clean cheap place to stay to lay our head for the night in comfort of coolness with a full belly... so much better than sweating on a blow up mattress in a tent which was the original road trip plan.
