We ended up at SpringHill Suites after needing to change hotels at short notice, and it turned out to be a great save. We were able to book quickly at a reasonable rate, and the front desk clerk kindly let us check in early, which we really appreciated. Our room was a good size, with two queen beds, a sofa bed, and a small kitchenette area, making it comfortable and practical for our stay. I was especially pleased to find Udi's gluten free muffins available at breakfast on our first morning, though it was a bit puzzling that there weren't any gluten free options the following day. The staff were excellent throughout. They were so friendly, accommodating, and always willing to help. The location is another big plus, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. You will need a car, and the only downside was the parking fee, which felt a little unnecessary given how much parking there is in the area. read more

We arrived and the first room we were given smelled strongly like fresh wet paint. It was honestly overwhelming and not something that should be offered to guests especially since strong paint fumes can be unpleasant and even unsafe for some people. It made the room completely unusable for us. We went back to the front desk to ask for another room, but were initially told there were no other rooms available with two queen beds. They offered us two separate rooms instead, but said we would have to pay for the additional room, which didn't feel reasonable given the situation. After going back and forth, they did end up finding us another room and thankfully didn't charge us extra. I made reservations here to check out this property. I hadn't stayed in a SpringHill previously but we were looking forward to trying it out. I was informed when I checked in that there would be a 12 dollar charge for parking. They have their own lot why they do that is stymying to me. I told her that we would have two cars she said that she would only charge me for one so as you can see it's arbitrary this parking charge. I excitedly told her we were looking forward to the pool and hot tub. She said the hot tub is not working. Just broke this morning. Later that day we checked out the pool which was barely heated we swam laps and got out. It was not enjoyable too cold even when lap swimming. The breakfast in the morning was great with many choices. The room was nice and quiet with exception of the bathroom fan there was something wrong with that and we used it sparingly. All in all I would probably not stay here again as the pool and the parking fee were a deterrent there are other properties nearby. read more

Beds were terrible, rooms were unclean. We asked if we could switch to another room to try the bed and were told they were all the same, also told "some people love them, but lots of folks hate them". We booked for 3 nights, but had to cancel our last night due to no sleep on a rock hard bed. We scrambled to find another hotel. The hotel staff was mostly unfriendly and on their cell phones with only force smiles as we walked by. The gentleman that helped us cancel our last night, was helpful and kind, he did not charge us for the last day, thankfully. Outside of that, pool was freezing, hot tub wasn't hot and the mattresses, although we were told they were new, had plenty of stains that were not. Also, there was a half drank water bottle in our mini fridge. Will NOT stay again. Save your money, book elsewhere. read more

Definitely not our favorite place to stop. Even after calling to confirm, we were told the gym was open to reserve but the pool closed. We had to switch rooms after checking in because our room had broken towel rack and the mattress was absolutely nasty. The front seat person was such a nice helpful person but working alone (following covid standards). Even after changing rooms the bed was not very clean. The pull out couch had stains on it. On the evening of Halloween we decided to watch movies with the kids and TVs went out but the front desk was not very helpful or polite that night (different person). All in all it was a disappointment and wouldn't recommend it if you want nice friendly and clean. read more

I came into Hillsboro specifically to go to Pacific University for an interview. Definitely was near the school - but not walking distance or anything, would recommend a car to get there. I found this hotel to be a good deal. I booked a flight and this through expedia and found myself happy with a mini suite. I got ample space for a person for a night or two. Hotel was clean, bed was comfy (kind of springy, but it's a hotel.), towels clean, stocked with toiletries. There was nothing really out of place to complain about, but nothing to rave about. Overall - a very safe choice: I liked my stay, the staff were really nice and parking was free out front. If I had to come back to Hillsboro - I'd definitely consider staying here again. It was a reasonable drive from the airport, close to being off the freeway. Nearby Gas + supermarket + food. Made coming to a strange place much easier. Overall 3.5 stars. read more

My wife and I stayed here for an extended visit to the area. During our stay, the lock on our door died, a fact that we discovered when we returned to the hotel at 10 PM. The desk clerk came up to try the master card key and realized that maintenance personnel was needed. She was extremely professional, apologetic and polite about it. The maintenance guy was there in under five minutes. Everyone on staff was awesome and we will use this location again on future visits. read more

***DON'T STAY HERE*** Not up to "Marriott Standards". Do you want pubic hairs in your beds when you walk into your room? Check! See photos. Do you want pubic hairs in the showers and all around the toilet when you first walk in? Check! Here is what happened. 1. Checked in and walked into the room and inspected the bathroom. ALWAYS DO THIS! 2. Saw pubic hairs EVERYWHERE. 3. Walked down to the front desk and told her I can't except the room in the condition it's in and I shoes her the photos of the bathroom. 4. She was super nice and apologetically gave me a different room. 5. The room had an ok bathroom with just a couple of hairs???? 6. Went to out the kids to bed and pulled out the couch bed. 7. Pubic hairs all over the mattress. See photos. 8. Tried to find the mattress protector and sheets and blankets you are supposed to get with the pullout couch. All that was their was the mattress protector. Had to walk downstairs to request blankets and sheets 9. Unrolled the mattress protector and it was covered with pubic hair. See photos. 10. I decided to screw it and let my son sleep in the queen size bed with my wife and I since he had nowhere to sleep. Worst sleep ever. 11. In the am went down to breakfast, but it was already closed. It turned out it closes an hour earlier than I was told. Seriously???? 12. Went to the front desk to complain about all the pubic hairs. Showed the General manager the photos and she really sealed like she didn't care. She did give a partial refund though, but no genuine "sorry" or even trying to fake like she cared. 13. I explained that the pullout couch had pubic hairs all over it and we wouldn't be sleeping on it until the fixed the problem and brought a new mattress protector and clean blankets and sheets. I also requested two blankets because they are paper thin. 14. The general manager promised that the problem would be addressed and that housekeeping would take care of it. 15. Left all day and arrived back at night the second day, pulled out the couch and the same pubic hairs in the same location were still there. I checked the mattress pad and the pubic hairs were also in the same location (See photos). 16. Called the front desk and explained the problem and what I had been told by the general manager was going to happen to address the problem and she was super sweet (same sweet girl who checked us in originally and the only competent person at this disgusting hotel). I said that nothing I'd been done to fix the problem and we would not be sleeping on the couch bed. She brought a roll away bed (see photos), clean blankets, fresh pillows, a new mattress pad and fresh sheets. What a freaking major inconvenience, waste of time and complete waste of resources both for my family and the staff that had to make up for the overall incompetence of this disgusting hotel. Even the freaking elevator had a hair hanging off of one of the buttons (see photos.) Do yourself a favor and go to a different hotel. This hotel is not up to ****Marriott standards*** read more

Two stars because the room was dirty. Lots of body hair in places which means it hadnt been deep cleaned in some time. Some parts of the breakfast options looked edible but the buffet was not maintained so it quickly turned into a pig trough. This room wasn't cheap. You would expect more from a Marriott brand. This place looks like it has been recently redone. I was surprised to see that it doesn't have the new door keys, so made it got updated right before that conversion or it is a well kept hotel. Internet is free There is power by the beds but it is on the opposite side from the night stand. The bathroom door is not true The hot water take some time to get to temp on the fourth floor. The gym is slightly hot and has the normal compliment: 2 treadmills, 1 bike, 1 arc trainer, and dumbbells. read more

OK update time. Marriott was EXTREMELY responsive to my complaint, and it appears that they scan Yelp as well. I made a return visit to the hotel (without Marriott's knowledge - so no favoritism), and had a perfectly pleasant, and bite-free stay. It would appear that the bed bug issue has been resolved and I am happy to arrange future stays at this hotel. I've stayed here twice now and both times were less than stellar. The first time, I left my airpods on the charger in the room when I checked out, called once I got to the airport and they say they can't find them. I knew right where I Ieft them, so I guess housekeeping got a free set. Marissa the General Manager tried to look for them, but then stopped calling and updating me. Didn't even try to offer something in return for them. The second time, I was told that housekeeping is limited to once a week, which is understandable during Covid, however on Sunday, which is the 8th day, still no service. I see the housekeeping lady that looked like the manager or supervisor and asked her if I could get service, she walked me back to my room and jotted down the room number and asked me if I needed full service. I said just towels and bedding. No one showed up. Normally 3 strikes and you're out but I'm checking out tomorrow. I chose this place due to it being close to the jobsite, but I'm willing to drive farther for better service and hopefully more honest housekeeping/management. read more

I stayed here for 2-nights last weekend for my daughter's soccer tournament. I had to call ahead of time to change my reservation, and the staff was accommodating and friendly. Same when I checked in - very friendly and helpful. The room was ok. For the price, having a flat-screen TV (with HDMI so I could use my Xbox), kitchen area with a small fridge, and free WiFi were all great. Plus the kids really liked the indoor pool. And the complimentary breakfast was also pretty good with a decent assortment of stuff (waffles, eggs, cereals, juices, bagels, etc.) And the location is ok, with several stores within walking distance; so it was easy to get supplies whenever I needed to. So overall, what you'd expect plus a couple extras. BUT... When I went to checkout, I was told that I had purchased a movie for $16.99. I told them that I had not, and what probably happened is that when I connected my Xbox to the TV, I could have hit a wrong button on the remote that triggered the movie. I still really have no idea. But after talking to two different managers, and them looking up how long the movie actually played, I was told that the movie did play a full 2-hours and that "since the hotel is going to be charged, someone has to pay for it". I told them that if the movie was playing, I wouldn't know because I was playing Xbox. They didn't agree. What made me laugh - when I asked what movie it was, they told me Fast Five...who in their right mind would pay $16.99 to see Fast Five??? Absolutely ridiculous. So, this should have been a 3, maybe even 4-star rating. But being over-charged, and with the rudeness of the 2 managers I spoke to, they definitely deserve a 2-star rating. We stayed here for a house hunting trip. The location is great as there are many places to eat within walking distance. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.Breakfast was ok....better during by e week than on weekends. However, if you want to move in instead of living out of a suitcase, forget it. There is one tiny drawer under TV and two tinier drawers in the night stands. This is ridiculous for what is supposed to be an extended stay hotel. The bathroom area also feels cramped as there are no drawers or shelf to put toiletries. read more

We usually stay at Resident Inn Lake Oswego. But when they quoted a "best available rate" of $279 per night for this Elite customer, we looked elsewhere. And since we were coming in from the coast late, Hillsboro seemed like a natural choice. We're sure glad we did. This Springhill Suites operation is top shelf. Great water pressure in the shower. Mighty slab doors to the clean, well-lit hallway. Decent free breakfast with actual protein. Professional, cheerful (for PDX anyhow;) staff. Convenient location. And a buck and a quarter less than our usual RI. There's not a whole lot more we could have wanted. read more

Excellent location if you're visiting Intel in Hillsboro. Parking was plentiful and close to the entrance and check-in was a breeze. The suites were very large with plenty of desk space, and well-lit. Really my only complaint, and this is something I've seen in even high-end frilly hotels: is the lack of receptacles by the bed. I like to plug my phone in next to my bed and had to unplug the lamp to do this. They did have a clock radio dock with iPhone/iPod plug but that's incompatible with the lightning connector on the iPhone 5. The desk was great as it had a few receptacles I could use for computers. Breakfast in the lobby was reasonably good except the eggs which don't taste anything like eggs. And I find it weird to have eggs but no meat, but that's just me and there was plenty of fruit, breads, bagels, juices, cereals and most importantly coffee. I will definitely be back next time I visit Intel. read more

Disappointing hotel, considering how it's priced. You're paying for the convenience of staying near restaurants and ample parking, but the hotel falls flat in many areas. Breakfast is Best Western style - bland and few choices. The rooms are small, including bathroom/sink area. Pictures make it look large, but room is small. Separate sitting area is ok, but one TV and no separation between sitting area and beds so not good for families. TV swivels but you have to reconnect it bc of poor connections when it swivels (weird). Beds are comfortable and clean, but walls are amongst the thinnest I've experienced. Baseball team in town and kids could be heard all night. read more

The room layout was a little odd with 4 of us in the room but we worked it out. The staff were friendly and helpful. DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU ARE A VETERAN!! The hotel is beautiful but the front desk staff are ugly and hateful. They were rude since check in. We specifically requested a first floor room to accommodate my husband who is a disabled us marine veteran who served 4 tours in iraq and afghanistan. I explained he has issues with ptsd and feels safer on the first floor. They laughed and asked if he was physically disabled. I was dumbfounded. When i complained to the general manager they accused us of having a "threatening demeanor" and asked us to leave! So if you stay here make sure you are not a disabled veteran and make sure you dont complain or express any dislike of their staff's rude behavior. My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel for 3 days . It was clean and very modern . Maybe too modern . Definitely designed for the traveling Jr. executive. Throw your bag on the sofa hang up a dress shirt and out by 5 in the morning . We on the other hand would have appreciated a dresser.... Everyday we had to plunge our toilet to get it to flush , no jokes please we are talking about even pee ! They were nice enough to leave us a plunger for our entire stay . Our air conditioner didn't work well at all....and for Oregon last weekend it was very warm. Upon check out I complained again and was told sorry since you booked on Expedia we can't help you ! Really ! We never were asked during our stay how they could make things right .....so needless to say we won't stay there again . They could have changed our room or even offered a free night at another time . I will book again through Expedia but I will not stay at Springhill Suites , anywhere. read more

Stayed 2 nights with husband, visiting family in Oregon. This was a perfect location, we were close to everyone and had our own space to retire to after visiting all day. The room was beautiful, big couch, desk setup for work or play on computer, and a big TV flat screen. Bed is super comfortable, and they had extra pillows and blankets. It was a very hot weekend, air conditioning worked great ! We had a wet bar area with sink, fridge, microwave and counter space. they even had plates and silverware inside the microwave. Shower was great, plenty of power, not a weak spray at all. The only draw back was small bathroom counter space, and not much in the way of counter or shelf space to put things. But we were very comfortable, and relaxed. HBO included, and free wi-fi. Something about the hotels wi-fi disabled the GPS on my phone. So, when we were planning where to go we had to get about a block away from hotel before my GPS would kick in and know where we were. I did call the tech support, but they did not have a resolution for this problem. Now, the FOOD, you can walk to any type of food you can imagine. Within about a 3 block radius surrounding the hotel we had A&W, Sonic, Kentucky Fried Chicken, mexican restaurant, bar & grill, japanese, chinese. We were surrounded by a multitude of choices for breakfast, lunch & dinner. Just a fantastic location, and close to freeway. We totally enjoyed ourselves, and this will be our go to place when visiting family in oregon from now on. Great stay !! Get the best rate with AAA membership. read more

Looked good at first but the concrete hard beds and lukewarm shower the first morning (they did fix that the same day) will make me NOT want to go back. Also, others have mentioned that this place had waffles available for breakfast, not anymore. :( read more
