I have plenty of pictures if you need to see them. The first room 235 was disgusting, the carpeting was nasty stains and what appeared to be blood but was told red hair dye on the bed and flooring also there was a massive hairball I found. Went down to get another room 215 not much better there is mold growing on the tub area and the walls of the bathroom again stains on the carpet. When I got up this morning the hallway smelled marijuana totally reeked of it. Not cool. The topper of this adventure is pricing, the receipt states 156.78 but my bank says see below. I would like a refund. POS DEBIT SPRINGHILL SUITES BOLIN BOLINGBROOK IL Misc. debit-$180.00 Of course, I wrote them with no response.

They have a good crew here. Warm & friendly. They offer a full breakfast daily. Very filling and many offerings. Clean for the most part. Just many dirty spots on carpet throughout room & hotel. But other than that it's a clean place. Comfortable bed. Clean towels. I'm staying here for a month on business. They are doing well here.

My surprise after opening the shower curtain after a cold shower.

Pictures tell the story. No hot water. I would not recommend staying here. Run...don't walk away...

I decided to crash at a local Bolingbrook hotel that was close to the highway. It was a last minute thought and I picked it for convenience. It was inexpensive, the reviews on google and Priceline were good. Made the purchase. Walking into the lobby, I was... impressed? It looked nice, complete with new-looking decor - an almost revamped feeling. There was a small convenience "store" to the left, a pretty looking front desk. The entire right side was blocked off with tables and chairs, presumably the restaurant which was closed due to Covid. The front desk staff was pleasant. I walked out of the lobby and to my first-floor room. They say you remember two things about an experience, the first thing and the last thing. I'm willing to bet this hotel is counting on that theory to be with their lobby. That doesn't work with me. Here is where the stars on my review stop building. The hallway is littered with particularly dull paintings, tattered carpet and a musty odd smell of alcohol, cigarettes and old soiled linen. I made the trek down the smelly hallway, past many rooms some of which had people yelling. As I reached the room and entered, I was greeted with more cigarette smell, a broken light, a few live spiders and a few dead ones as well. A bottle cap was spotted under the bed where the base met the carpet. The wall was stained with a yellow... something. Since I booked with Priceline, I called them to see what could be done. They were unable to compensate me. I went down to the lobby and requested to be moved to a new room, they were pleasant about it and switched rooms. I headed to my new room which was now on the second floor. As I entered I was greeted with several full garbage cans, an empty pizza box and messed up bed sheets. This room has not been cleaned. I went back back down to the lobby and requested a relocation, again. This time they put me in a room that was not perfect but nicer. The bathroom had an almost empty toilet paper roll, the paper still triangled in an apparent attempt to make it look nice, bath towels were folded crappily and piled onto the towel holder. The final straw was the fact that I could hear a conversation someone was having on the other side of my wall. This conversation was held in a decibel slightly louder than a whisper. Final straw. did express my distaste and unhappiness with my stay but I was just brushed off by the front desk staff. Needless to say, this review doesn't need to continue. I believe I have made my case as best as I can. The Marriott will no longer be receiving my business. I hope you all take this review into consideration for this particular location.

Horrible Stay. Noise leaks out of the room into the hallway. Walls are thin. Bath tub squeaks. Hotel staff are inconsiderate and rude.

No apology, no concern, no acknowledgment of the danger or inconvenience. Just "your compensation is a new room." A hotel with non-functioning fire alarms and faulty heating equipment should not be dismissing a situation like this. Their response showed zero accountability and zero concern for guest safety. I will not be staying here again, and I strongly recommend that management address their fire safety systems before someone gets seriously hurt.

I was fooled by most of the great reviews because this hotel's pool was the slimiest & scumiest pool I've ever encountered, and the hot tub was even worse! And this is that the pool room was creepily dark from literally more bulbs being burned out than being on in there. The upkeep at this hotel is so bad they can't even be bothered to change light bulbs?? We also asked the front desk guy for more towels (after going back & forth to search for him twice as he was nowhere to be found) because there wasn't enough, and he said he hadn't had a chance to do a load yet.. Isn't that part of the job, to ensure there's always some for guests? We checked in with this same guy at 4pm that day, and then asked for the towels around 10pm, so 6 hours later, he still never got around to do a load? The next morning we were checking out, there was a hand written sign by the pool stating that it was closed for cleaning, so at least another guest/s or staff finally must've noticed how scummy & gross the pool & hot tub were (we hadn't complained about that, but I did ask the front desk guy why it was so creepily dark in there the night before.) On the positive and fair notes: Besides all of that, everything else was ok and the breakfast wasn't so bad. Would I book there again, probably not.

First off, loved that I could check in and choose my room on the app since I was going to be checking in after 7PM. The digital keys were a game changer. This location was less convenient for us than another hotel we stayed in during the moving process, though there are various stores and restaurants nearby. We had a disabled accessible room so it was one large space with a king bed, and this was actually more functional than the suite rooms we stayed in (also ADA accessible) elsewhere. The room "divider" was a hospital-room-style curtain that pulled out next to the bed. Elevators were the least sensory friendly I have ever encountered, with loud, high pitched dings (not fun for the cats). We utilized the pool while visiting, but parents should need the rule that unattended children cannot be there by themselves -- some kids came racing to the door (needs to be opened with key card) and banging on it so we would let them in (hell no! We are not going to be responsible for someone else's children. Finally as we were leaving they returned with their parents). Janitor also needed to clean in here as there was blood on the edge of the pool -- not sanitary. Breakfast was ok, nothing to write home about. I will say that despite signage in the elevator talking about "crafting your ultimate breakfast sandwich," the offering was premade Jimmy Dean type stuff. A lot of noise in the halls and lobby at this hotel. Ultimately, we did opt to stay elsewhere the next time.

I was told that the system had charged by card $741 and was now attempting to charge the remaining balance of $540. Why? That's not the process. I'm well-traveled. Don't let the look fool you as I'm currently at another Marriot property as we speak. In addition, I do not have a charge on my card for $741; only the hold for $1420 which to this day (3rd) remains. The whole place needs a facelift, a deep clean, or both. The parking lot was nearly empty and I didn't see any other guests until the next morning, and this was on a holiday. Nice for keeping things quiet, but I suspect word has gotten around that it's not quite up to the standard of other similar hotels. Room includes a small refrigerator and microwave. The tiny "gift shop" in the lobby is really just an alcove with snacks and little packages of over-the-counter medicines and things like that. Our ballroom is so beautiful, and everything looked absolutely stunning on our special day. Here I wanted to THANK YOU Katie Jones, the hotel manager, for being so professional, accommodating, and supportive throughout the entire planning process, especially when we decided to switch from the Cyprus Room to Ballroom B, just three weeks before the wedding. She made the change stress and handling everything with her good care. We're so grateful for her patience, attention to detail, and for making the entire process so smooth. Our guests were so impressed with the venue and the level of service. This is one of the best venues to celebrate weddings. We highly recommend Hotel Arista to any couple looking for a classy, beautiful, and memorable wedding venue. Also, the parking is very convenient for everybody. However, there are two areas where we think this hotel SHOULD improve: 1. Food Quality - We chose lamb and duck for our main entrées. While the lamb was excellent, the duck unfortunately, turned out VERY salty and quite different from the delicious version we had during the tasting. It was a bit disappointing since food is such an important part of the wedding experience. 2. Reservation - One of our special guests faced a BIG inconvenience due to a reservation miscommunication. We had confirmed a few times with the front desk that charges would go to the card on file and not the guest directly. Unfortunately, the guest was charged anyway, which caused him to miss his flight and pay double fees to rebook. The solution is, we called the reservation front desk, and they apologized and offered us two free nights as compensation. In conclusion, aside from these two issues, everything else about our wedding day was truly memorable. The staff was attentive, the ballroom looked stunning, and the overall service was excellent. We're still very happy we chose Hotel Arista as our wedding venue, but we hope the hotel can make improvements in those areas for future couples and guests.
