Terrible experience. We traveled here specifically so our daughter could enjoy the "indoor heated pool" advertised on the website. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the pool was barely usable--at most around 50 degrees. When I asked the front desk if the temperature could be adjusted, I was told it was cold because of the weather outside, and nothing could be done. That response was both disappointing and unacceptable. Overall, this was a huge letdown and a complete waste of a trip. I would not recommend based on this experience. read more

Excellent guest service from Cassandra on the 3-11 pm shift! Great hospitality and warm welcome

I love the warm welcome I get each week from Cassandra! Besides the great staff, this hotel is fairly quiet, which I really appreciate. They don't have ice or vending machines on each floor, but they do have a small "market" in the lobby to get snacks if needed. I've been staying here once/twice a week for the last 5 months and feel like I'm with family here. There are plenty of food options nearby, and the front desk is happy to recommend places to try. I was never here prior to the remodel, but don't let those reviews scare you off - It's a great home away from home! read more

I have plenty of pictures if you need to see them. The first room 235 was disgusting, the carpeting was nasty stains and what appeared to be blood but was told red hair dye on the bed and flooring also there was a massive hairball I found. Went down to get another room 215 not much better there is mold growing on the tub area and the walls of the bathroom again stains on the carpet. When I got up this morning the hallway smelled marijuana totally reeked of it. Not cool. The topper of this adventure is pricing, the receipt states 156.78 but my bank says see below. They have a good crew here. Warm & friendly. They offer a full breakfast daily. Very filling and many offerings. Clean for the most part. Just many dirty spots on carpet throughout room & hotel. But other than that it's a clean place. Comfortable bed. Clean towels. I'm staying here for a month on business. They are doing well here. read more

This the worst Hotel with the Marriott logo on it that I have ever stayed at when it comes to cleanliness. The carpets in the halls and every room my colleagues stayed in were stained and dirty beyond the standard of condemned! The staff are some nice people and I generally think they are embarrassed as well. The Elevator was out of commission all week. Some rooms had mold. And the smell was like living in a pot house. The stench could be smelt everywhere. The only chance you had was to leave the bathroom fan on all the time day. This hotel should be shutdown or pay people to stay here. I work for a very large retailer and they have lost our business probably forever. The mold was in the room with the SR Executive stayed. read more

I decided to crash at a local Bolingbrook hotel that was close to the highway. It was a last minute thought and I picked it for convenience. It was inexpensive, the reviews on google and Priceline were good. Made the purchase. Walking into the lobby, I was... impressed? It looked nice, complete with new-looking decor - an almost revamped feeling. There was a small convenience "store" to the left, a pretty looking front desk. The entire right side was blocked off with tables and chairs, presumably the restaurant which was closed due to Covid. The front desk staff was pleasant. I walked out of the lobby and to my first-floor room. They say you remember two things about an experience, the first thing and the last thing. I'm willing to bet this hotel is counting on that theory to be with their lobby. That doesn't work with me. Here is where the stars on my review stop building. The hallway is littered with particularly dull paintings, tattered carpet and a musty odd smell of alcohol, cigarettes and old soiled linen. I made the trek down the smelly hallway, past many rooms some of which had people yelling. As I reached the room and entered, I was greeted with more cigarette smell, a broken light, a few live spiders and a few dead ones as well. A bottle cap was spotted under the bed where the base met the carpet. The wall was stained with a yellow... something. Since I booked with Priceline, I called them to see what could be done. They were unable to compensate me. I went down to the lobby and requested to be moved to a new room, they were pleasant about it and switched rooms. I headed to my new room which was now on the second floor. As I entered I was greeted with several full garbage cans, an empty pizza box and messed up bed sheets. This room has not been cleaned. I went back back down to the lobby and requested a relocation, again. This time they put me in a room that was not perfect but nicer. The bathroom had an almost empty toilet paper roll, the paper still triangled in an apparent attempt to make it look nice, bath towels were folded crappily and piled onto the towel holder. The final straw was the fact that I could hear a conversation someone was having on the other side of my wall. This conversation was held in a decibel slightly louder than a whisper. Final straw. did express my distaste and unhappiness with my stay but I was just brushed off by the front desk staff. Needless to say, this review doesn't need to continue. I believe I have made my case as best as I can. The Marriott will no longer be receiving my business. I hope you all take this review into consideration for this particular location. read more

I had an issue with my first room. The young lady gave me another room immediately. The staff has been so very kind. I understand they are going to be starting renovations and I also know that not everything is the staffs fault. Management was on the the issue first thing this morning and they were making sure other rooms were alright. Does this hotel need work? Sure, but they are taking care of it. I would rate my 7-day stay at this hotel a 3/5. The amenities were about what I expected for the price. Pros: 1) Hotel Staff was courteous and helpful. I was assigned to two different rooms during my stay. The first room they had me in, the hot water didn't work, nor did the refrigerator. Hotel staff was kind enough to move me to another room. There was an issue with the toilet in the second room, which maintenance promptly repaired. 2) Location was great. Most of the business I needed to conduct was within Bolingbrook and other locations along I-55. 3) Amenities overall were about what I expected. The beds were comfortable. Cons: 1) Wifi: the free wifi at this hotel was slow. For those that stay here, it might be worth upgrading to the $4.95/day "enhanced Internet if you need to watch live streams, conduct zoom meetings, or browse social media. 2) Noise: The walls are thin. During my stay, I heard television noise, conversation between other guests in adjacent rooms, loud foot traffic in the hallway, and barking dogs. Stomping will be an issue if you're on one of the lower floors. 3) There are no food options at this hotel (presumably due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I won't hold this against the hotel. There are plenty of grocery stores and great restaurants nearby. Beyond those issues, I have nothing else negative to report. Bottom line: If you're on a tight budget and need a place to crash, this hotel is adequate. If you have extra funds, you might consider staying in one of the other nearby hotels. Personally, I would consider staying at this property during my future travels if nothing else is available. read more

As a long time Marriott Rewards member, I've been on a lot of Marriott properties. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The SpringHill Suites Bolingbrook, IL was the WORST run Marriott property I've ever been on. Checked in for two rooms. First room appeared ok. When I opened door to second room, bed was messed up and was clearly dirty and there was a folding knife on the door. I quickly closed the door and returned to the front desk. Was given new room. Got to that room, swiped the key and opened the door. Door had safety latch closed from inside - someone was in the room. I returned to front desk and asked for manager. Clerk said no manager on site. I asked him to phone one. Clerk refused to call a manager. Clerk argued with me and and said no one was supposed to be in the room he gave me (no kidding). He gave me another room. I asked him to go check it first as we were feeling unsafe at this point. He refused. I went up to our now third room and found out toilet in the room my children were in didn't work. Returned to desk and got another room. When I finally got to my room found lots of stains on carpet and the grossest bathroom. Wall paper was coming off in many areas and had caulk all around the top of walls the was about an inch tall and had finger marks everywhere. I called Marriott corporate and was moved to Fairfield Inn Bolingbrook. If you value safety, cleanliness and competent management, avoid the SpringHill Suites in Bolingbrook, IL. read more

We were in town for a wedding for two nights. Was looking forward to the stay because I love Springhill Suites. This is no where near the quality Springhill Suite that I have ever stayed at. There were stains on the carpet. The washroom and shower had what looked like black mold etc. very old and in need of a remodel. Front desk employees greeted you and checked you n while seated at a desk chair. I have never seen this done in a Marriott property before this. Even though they were seated they were still pleasant and helpful. I would never stay here again. read more

We recently stayed here for a soccer tournament and I found the stay to be fairly ordinary. The hotel is clean and the rooms are OK, but I found the beds to be too firm and the pillows too soft. We paid $119 per night for a King and sofa couch which is probably a reasonable value considering it's Chicagoland. Our room had a mini-kitchen complete with a microwave which was convenient. The drapes let in a little too much light in the morning for me and the climate control system wasn't optimal. They do have a decent lobby area and a sufficient continental breakfast with waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, etc. Staff was friendly enough. Overall a mediocre stay. Also, there is a Cheddar's right next door which is kind of convenient. read more

I stayed here for 10 nights on a business trip. The staff is amazing and so helpful. Room feels clean and they have a great breakfast selection. It does take a while for the warm water to reach the third floor, but other than that, everything was great. I am really impressed by the staff. They all want to help you and make sure you have a good stay. read more

dirty carpet reserved 3 rooms total nights on those rooms 19 nights requested rooms to be cleaned daily when I maid my reservation 3 weeks before we traveled the next day room not cleaned promised by manager that they will be cleaned daily from there on the next day I requested some towels from the lady in charge of the cleaning staff she gave them to me as I was leaving she was talking to her assistant in Spanish telling her this guy wants us to clean his room daily that's not happening they didn't clean it the next day which happened to be my daughters wedding she was in 1 of the rooms she had her hair & makeup done in that dirty room on 1 occasion they supposedly cleaned the room but the sheets had blood on 1 of the beds awful experience they should take the Marriott name of that place the manager supposedly added 20000 points to my Marriott rewards card a card I didn't have I created an account in hopes of him putting there he never responded back very unprofessional read more

We had a great stay! From check in to check out everyone was kind and very welcoming and very accommodating! It was a short stay but the staff was great and the rooms were comfortable and we all slept well! Breakfast was good and the lady working it was attentive and kept the food coming and the area clean. Its sad when you go somewhere and are thrown off by good costumer service! Its how it should be but you don't see it very often! We would choose this hotel again! read more

We will never return. The first time we stayed there was a 'hockey game' in the hall and the front desk was called by someone to stop it, also there was no breakfast in the morning. The second time, there was no kleenix, no lotion, the coffee maker didn't work and we had to call the front desk twice due to next door neighbor's loud music and tv at 3 am. Extremely disappointed. Absolutely ridiculous! Went in here looking for an ATM, so I asked the woman behind the desk if they had one. Her response? "It's in the market." Um....okay???? So now I'm looking around thinking, a mini mart? A 7-Eleven express in the hotel? What? I then asked her, "What do you mean by, 'MARKET?'. Her response? "We don't actually have one. It's in the market." I was so disgusted that I just walked out without saying anything. Then she says, "Sorry." Oh yeah...you ARE sorry indeed! Here's an idea; next time, take your brain off of "Full Bimbo Mode," and just say, "I'm sorry, sir/ma'am, but we do not have an ATM." Worst hotel I have EVER staying at I have never had such poor customer service in all my life.....Tom north general manager and Julie Sampson were both TERRIBLE Tom actually yelled YELLED at us ....our rooms weren't ready at 5pm even though check was at 3. We book over 20 rooms for our hotel the shuttle drive was either drunk or on something and lied he never came back to pick anyone up we had to make multiple trips to and from hotel to get our guest Our block of rooms wasn't ready after I book all the way in January imitations when out for wedding with their info people tried to book and they said they had no clue who we were and then Tom north actually told me I should go somewhere else (at this point it was too late) people called to make reservations they wouldn't even ask for the date they were trying to book they would immediately say they were book and hang up this actually happens to my mom mother of the bride We have had NOTHING but problems with this hotel I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone BEWARE If zero starts were an option I would have give them that read more

We had some personal business in Chicago and stayed here Sunday night before fighting the traffic to get into downtown the next day. After a long drive in from St. Louis, we were blown away by the staff! The evening hostess was outstanding, making us feel right at home. We needed a few items (shaving creme, extra soap, etc.) and she was very accommodating. The room itself was clean, spacious enough, and comfortable. Complimentary breakfast the following morning included scrambled and hard-boiled eggs, sausage, tasty oatmeal, a variety of breads (croissants, muffins, bagels, etc.), along with a nice choice of cereal. But as good as this was, it was topped by a very friendly servicing staff (2 exceptional ladies), both willing to do anything to make our breakfast experience top-notch. read more
